About this property

The Pink cottage on West Beach, water front , short walk to beach

The Pink Cottage started as a fishing shack in 1955, the year after hurricane Hazel. In 1968 the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added. Also the back porch was enclosed and the kitchen was added including a large deck facing the water. In 2021 the shack was completely renovated and became The Pink Cottage. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water was added. The kitchen is fully furnished including a dishwasher. The pink cottage overlooks Montgomery Slough with its tidal creek where at low tide the many species of birds feed, at high tide watch for the dolphins. You may access the Slough at 17th Place West where you can catch your own shrimp, crab, or just explore the marsh with all its abundant life. You can also launch your kayak from this access. You don't have to worry about beach parking - it is just a short walk to the beach.

The Pink Cottage was the most amazing place to stay for our sister’s trip! A quiet morning on the back porch with a cup of coffee was the best way to start the day, and the view of the sunset was just as an amazing way to end the day. Sarah and John were extremely welcoming and were very readily available if it were needed. I would definitely recommend the Pink Cottage and I would love to go back for a second visit!

We've vacationed on OKI 30 years. Of all those rentals, the Cottage is the best! The house is spotless, beautifully decorated, kitchen fully stocked, with all the amenities. And a quick walk to the beach! Add amazing sunsets over the slough and top that off with great hosts John and Sarah and it is the perfect oasis for the soul! We don't need to look any further for another place. We've found it at the Pink Cottage! The Olivers, North Carolina.

10 of out 10! Wonderful cottage. Just the right size for me, my husband & 12 year old son. Cottage was very clean. Smelled nice. Comfortable beds. Marsh view was amazing. Beach was even better. 10th visit to OKI & this is our favorite stay. Quite area. Nice hosts. We plan on staying again next year. Thanks for having us!

The house was absolutely spotless and smelled so clean the entire time we were there. The host was quick to respond and answered all questions. Host thought of every little thing that might be needed while staying and it checked every box. The decorations were so lovely and made the cottage cozy and sweet. The view from the back deck was breathtaking as the sun set, and nights rocking by the water were simply peaceful. We truly didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely stay again and will tell friends. This little place exceeded our expectations! We had a girls weekend and found the place super clean and attention to detail was executed without fail. Cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Pink Cottage. One of our favorite places we have ever stayed. The views are simply amazing and the house was so clean. Everything we needed was stocked and you can tell so much thought was put into this home. Beach access is walking distance right across the street and we found so many great shells. John and Sarah are so sweet and really made sure our stay was great! This is a little slice of heaven and we cannot wait to come back!

Pink House is great place to stay.

The Pink House has everything you need for a vacation stay and was very clean. The Hosts were helpful and friendly. View was awesome from back deck and, it was just a short walk to the beach. Definitely hope to have a chance to return.
