Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, cozy cabin, located in Skandia, Michigan. Explore 40 acres of field and forest and experience glorious sunsets. You can enjoy LOTS of space and privacy here. Marquette and beautiful Lake Superior are a scenic, 15 minute drive. The lovely town of Munising and the infamous Pictured Rocks are an hour away. Bring your snowmobiles for some extra fun!

We had an excellent stay! The bedrooms and bathrooms are adorable and well appointed. Kitchen is well stocked. Easy check out process was greatly appreciated. We were in town to hike, but you could relax on the property for days in the peaceful setting. Just a quick 15 min drive from the airport and in to town when needed. Perfect spot!

Perfect location for relaxing and enjoying a peaceful getaway. Kitchen is adorable and well stocked with dishes and cookware, beds were clean and comfy, yard is perfect for hanging on the deck and having a cozy fire. Marquette is only 15-20 mins away and lots of little stops along the way there. Lori is an EXCELLENT hostess and replied quickly to my messages. Extremely thoughtful as well as it was my husband's birthday. They left streamers, balloons and a lovely sign. What a loving gesture. We absolutely loved our time here and will need to mark this as our favorite stay when we come back to Marquette. Thank you for hosting us!

This place is a-MAZ-ing! We were a group of 4 backpacking friends staying here after 7 days on Isle Royale. The location is quiet and rural yet 15 minutes from downtown Marquette and 15 minutes to Marquette/Sawyer airport. The property is secluded and quiet which we loved. The house is so comfortable and beautifully done with everything updated and working perfectly. The beds were all comfortable. Anything you could possibly ask for has been provided and so much more. The house is so well furnished - we enjoyed looking at all the beautiful features and decor. There was a fantastic supply of products and consumables that were appreciated for being largely organic and higher-end selections. Although we had no children in our group, we noticed the house is well-equipped for entertaining little ones. The photos in the listing are accurate. Lori was exceptionally responsive. We plan to return to the Marquette area next year, and this will absolutely be our choice of where to stay.

The cabin was very clean. It was bright and open feeling. The kitchen was well appointed. We saw a deer resting near the cabin and a chipmunk on the porch. There were lots of game and activity options for families. You do need bug spray when you are outside. We were about 15-20 minutes from Marquette, less than an hour from Munising, and less than an hour from Laughing Whitefish Falls.

Biking Trip

Really enjoyed our stay. Location feels remote, but is about 20 minutes from most activities we wanted to do in the Marquette area. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Quiet & comfy - a perfect getaway!

This was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Marquette. Being just a short drive out of town (less than 20 min), it was conveniently close to trails, downtown restaurants, and beaches. The best part is not only that it felt private and secluded but the home is beautiful and the beds are comfy!

We LOVE this property!!! Great base camp

This was a great base camp while we were in the area looking at houses to purchase. House and property were great, nice and quiet. Only downfall was owner wouldn't sell it to me, lol.

Just far enough out of town to not be in the chaos but close enough to get there when we needed to be. The home was very homey, and easy to come back to for relaxation. Definitely will stay again, hopefully for a longer duration.

Little slice of heaven

What a charming place. Slippery Jim's is warm and welcoming and has everything you could need. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of room. It's quiet and secluded, but not far from downtown Marquette. Lori is a great host and responded quickly anytime I had questions. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.
