Tranquil & Private with Sweeping Views, River---all within 5 min of Santa Ynez

The Lodge and the Cabin are the guest quarters for the historic Rio Ynez Ranch, an 85-acre horse ranch in Santa Ynez. Previously, these two houses were only available to guests of the owner, including many storied personalities. Now you can share in the total privacy--- while only 5 minutes from downtown Santa Ynez, 10 to Los Olivos. Stroll 100 paces and sit at the edge of the Santa Ynez River and listen to the landscape of birdsong. Sit on the sprawling deck with a glass of local wine and ponder the uninterrupted panorama of mountains. You won’t see a sign of civilization during your stay. Furnished with a mixture of antiques and rare rustic furniture. The Lodge was redone recently: new paint, floors, marble kitchen counters, new French doors; the deck has been extended and a beautiful new outdoor fireplace and seating area have been built. The kitchen in the Lodge is fully equipped for you to cook a fine meal, and there is a fine outdoor gas grill, but the restaurants of Santa Ynez are only moments away, wineries too numerous to mention. The Lodge has one King Bedroom, Two Queen Bedrooms and Two Full Baths. The Cabin has One King Bed and one Full Bathroom.

NOTES:

The maximum number of guests allowed is 8. We do not hold events on the ranch. PLEASE SEND NO INQUIRIES ABOUT WEDDINGS.

Please do not request to book dates where your arrival or departure are the same day as an existing reservation. We like to leave at least 24 hours between stays for thorough cleaning and disinfecting.

The Cabin is approximately 80 feet from the Lodge. They only rent together.

A new high speed Wifi system has been installed (replacing the sluggish satellite Wifi). Streaming and Zoom from multiple devices are no problem.

There is only one TV and it is in the Master Bedroom

Preference will be given to longer stays.

There is an outdoor fireplace that is GAS ONLY.

There is an outdoor gas grill.

There is an indoor fireplace and firewood is provided.

There is a Keurig coffee maker as well as a filter coffee machine.

Horseback riding is not offered on property. Recommendations can be given for arranging rides in the valley.

Please make sure you take all items with you upon your departure. Items left by guests will not be returned to their owners.

I think the best part about the lodge and cabin was the location and view with great outside seating. The main room was great for a group to gather and we enjoyed the privacy & rustic interior.

House is equipped with everything you would need on losing dog bowls.Check in process was easy and host was quick to respond and made sure our stay was going well. We booked this house to allow us to meet in a central location with relatively few distractions. We found plenty to do in the nearby villages and enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the house. We brought bocce and had a great time playing in the gravel at one end of the house. We would be happy to stay here again.

The website description is very accurate but we were all pleasantly surprised by how secluded main house is and that the cabin is hidden from view. We had a perfect weekend in Santa Ynez and looked forward to coming back to Rancho Ynez at the end of each day’s activities.

Family and doggy children getaway

We had a wonderful time - our 2nd stay! We just love the relaxation , nature and tranquility of this ranch house. Our family of 8 plus dogs love this place. Everything we need is provided plus being so close to all the charm of Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, Los Olivos and Solvang can’t be beat.We thought of booking for. Thanksgiving but unfortunately the ranch house is already booked!
