Unplugged Relaxation in Northern Michigan<br>

Have you ever dreamed of having a cottage up-north to get away from everything? A place to unplug and get back in touch with the ones you love or spend some low-tech time doing things you enjoy. Renting our place is the perfect get away without the hassle of ownership. This house is situated on a large wooded lot, the closest neighbor is a quarter mile away. Access is on a paved county road so don’t worry about having a four-wheel drive vehicle to get there. This three bedroom/two bath house is roomy, clean and comfortable.

The host provides games, books, puzzles, an outdoor fire pit and lawn games (cornhole and ladder golf). The perfect family getaway, or a girl’s weekend get-together, or a golf outing. The house is situated near many award-winning golf courses -Thunder Bay (26 miles), Garland (24 miles), Cedar Valley (5 miles), Treetops and the Gaylord golf mecca (40 miles). The Au Sable River is only 16 miles down the road for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, or fishing. ATVs/ ORVs are allowed to drive on the shoulder of the county roads.

Cell phone coverage is variable, depending on your carrier. AT&T and Verizon have a tower only a mile away. Local television stations only. No Wi-Fi or cable TV.

Guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Excellent Time Away

A Relaxing Way to Unplug

Country living

The place was very nice and clean and quiet .Kathy was a perfect host I did have a few questions when we got there but she had a list that answered all my questions, like where to put the trash stuff like that. It is a very detailed list which was so nice! We had a good time and Kathy had wine for us we got there that was a bonus :)

Weekend getaway

This property was perfect for us! We really needed two bathrooms, and this was one of the few properties that could meet that need for us. Very clean, easy to find, and very well stocked. We felt very welcome, and were very comfortable! Kathy wax a terrific host!

Quite and relaxing

Was just what we were looking for. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Had plenty of space and was private. Enjoyed having a fire at night they provided wood which was nice. Will stay again

Perfect weekend getaway

My husband and I had such a fun weekend here for our anniversary! The location is very private and dog friendly. We spent the weekend hiking and really enjoyed going to the Farmer’s Creamery down the road for sandwiches and ice cream. It was so nice to unplug and just relax, and Kathy was so nice to leave us a gift for our weekend!

Look no further and book at Unplugged

We were smiling from the moment we walked in. Air conditioner on, wine tray, welcome sign, indoor and outdoor toys & games for all ages. We were very impressed with how clean and welcoming our hosts home is. The kitchen is well stocked, and offers everything you need to prep, cook and bake. Beautiful property, ample parking, and use of a washer and dryer. We will return next year.

Great stay

The property is just as pictured, very secluded back in the woods. Everything was spotless, like super clean which is great! Check in, departure and communicate with the owner were seem less with great instructions. No complaints but minor recommendations… there is an air conditioner but only one the living room. So during warm spells the bedrooms may be very hot. Lots of pots and pans but light on cooking utensils. WiFi would be nice! Would definitely stay again and recommend as a great VRBO!

peaceful and enjoyable getaway

We had an amazing stay at Unplugged! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. A nearby park was perfect for our large family reunion and families enjoyed the local gulf course, campground and amusement park. The host, Kathy, was super responsive and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for the area. The house was spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities e.g. fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. We loved spending time on the deck and exploring the surrounding area. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. Thank you Kathy for sharing your wonderful home with us! See you next year.
