Location, Location, Location! This home is in the Heart of the Florida Keys. Just a short ride to Key West or to Key Largo, right in the middle of it all! Swim with dolphins, manatees and turtles. Excellent fishing and breath- taking sunsets!
It is the perfect place for beach lovers, boaters, fishermen, kids, families or honeymooners.
This place is like a dream come true. It is sheer magic. Stayed for 1 week. Rented a boat also. Can i tell you that this is the nicest place i have ever stayed in the Keys. It was perfect. Clean, quiet and tropical. Set up for everything you could want in the Keys. Amazing ! I will be back here soon. We are picky. We enjoy nice things. when you walk into the front door you will momentarily have your breath taken away. Pour a drink before you unpack and go sit in the hammock and free your mind.......I promise this will live up to the billing.
Driving up the private, gated driveway, all of us were extremely excited. We visited the Keys and stayed in this beautiful home for a family vacation with the grandparents and the lay-out of the home was ideal for that. But the view! It almost felt as if the ocean was there just for you! Once you enter the front door and see the pool overlooking the ocean, you'll never want to leave. The kitchen was perfect for family meals together, and you could easily enjoy watching the kids swim from the kitchen. It was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. We loved the coconut trees! The master suite was situated off by itself, and the second and third bedrooms shared a bath. I agree that this property is not newly furnished or remodeled, but it's clean and well appointed. It's a great house for enjoying the Keys in a private location that can't be beat.
My husband and I just returned last night from out trip to the keys staying at this large ranch style home. We got in late and after a minor mix up with directions and addresses we found the right house. It is located on the point on the ocean with the canal on the side of the home for your boat. We did not fish, strictly R&R. The view is unbelievable from the pool area and it can't be beat. The home is in fair shape. Kitchen just got a new refrigerator but stove and cook top ranges with coil burners are really old. Lots of tile on counter tops in kitchen and bathrooms some starting to chip. Family room and sitting room couch covers ripped and in need of washing. Only one sliding door to exit to pool and you need some muscle to open it. Screen door ripped screen. The glass shower door in guest room was covered in soap scum. Some pool tiles falling off bottom of pool you could see them floating on the bottom of pool. As you drive up 101st ST. To the property you will notice lots of garbage along the heavy tree and brush line on the side opposite the homes, no one seems to clean this up not sure who's responsible, no garbage on property, just driving down the street it looks bad, like an unkept neighborhood. So if you ignore all these little things and enjoy the view or don't care because your out fishing all day I guess it's a good place, but for the money we expected a better quality home. We also rent in St Petersburg in the fall and the home is completely updated and very clean and we don't gave to start the laundry before we leave. Can't give the home 5 stars it came up short for us.
Do not think twice about this rental. Even the beautiful pictures do not do it justice. Our family of four just spent a wonderful week in this amazing home and we just can't say enough about it. The house is extremely clean and well furnished. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked, including good quality knives and cookware. But what truly makes this place incredible are the breathtaking views, the proximity to activities in Marathon, and peace on the water. Our kids would have been content to spend the entire trip in the heated pool and fishing right there on the property. The property manager is very professional and attentive. We had one small plumbing problem which was literally fixed within 15 minutes. All of us were sad to sad to leave this tropical paradise and would go back in a heartbeat!
We just returned from a week stay at this lovely home. The home is everything we hoped for and more. We found the house to be in pristine condition. Everything was spotless, hats off to the cleaning crew. The rental office made everything so easy. American Caribbean is a first class company with first class service.
The view from this home is amazing! The home offers complete privacy. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it.
I have rented through VRBO for many years all over the country but always dealing with the property owner. ....This time had to go through a real estate property manager and found out why very quickly. When there is a problem the agent tells you to make a list and they will inform the owner.
This house is on a very beautiful and seclude point smack on the ocean and is a lovely designed ranch style home.....a Cadillac but with a four cylinder engine and roll up windows....you can tell it is strictly a rental or income property from all the corner cutting.
The ad boasts a heated pool..... but it'll cost you an additional $200 a week to turn on the heater.......night swimming would have been great except that the pool light is disconnected....there is a great soaking tub in the master bath that holds about 80 gallons, but the hot water heater in the house is too small to fill it with hot water let alone handle a few people taking showers and running the washer. The gas grill looked great but didn't work and even if it did you would have to serve dinner inside as there are no patio chairs or table.....i bought a charcoal grill for the steaks i brought and ate on the chaise lounge at the pool which i lit up with some garden torches i also purchased. Indoors if you want to read, better bring some 100w or three way bulbs because all the lamps have minimal 40 or 60 watt bulbs.....seating in the house is also minimal.
Some other wrinkles include a modem for internet access that is difficult to use and direct tv which had a problem getting reception on the over the air networks......
Get the picture......either the owner or the property manager hate a nickel because it's not a dime....and yet.....
With all this being said the house could still be in my plans again if these things were corrected and.or improved upon and i didn't feel i was being nickeled and dimed.
