Everything and then some!Hosts were amazing and thoughtful. They had thought of every little detail down to having toiletries in the bathrooms in case you forgot toothpaste or even qtips!Especially grateful for their birthday wishes to my wife that were written on the basement door, even had a sign over the fire place!Extremely friendly, courteous and easy to deal with for checking in... they made sure we were set for our weekend.

Super property, super host

Host made everything easy to visit this wonderful property. We had a party of 7, and all queen beds and several common areas made it really easy to visit. Well-appointed kitchen, nice outside areas made for a nice time with extended family. Would do it all over again.

The house was so clean, cozy. The owners went above & beyond to have items in house for cooking Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed how family friendly the house was-lots of games etc. Real nice people to rent frim!

We had an awesome time. The communication with the host and owner was perfect. She was very helpful in every way. The home itself is beautiful and the location in the cul-de-sac was perfect for our family needs. We will definitely be staying there again.

Lovely, family friendly, relaxing stay

Seamless check in, lovely home exactly as pictured. The best was that there was *nothing* to worry about. All household goods were provided as well as sundries you may have forgotten. Even better, the owners went above and beyond with thoughtful touches (which I hesitate to share because they were such nice surprises!). We loved the fire pit, pool table, darts, two tv areas, and enclosed porch. The best VRBO experience I’ve ever had!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this property with our 2 college age kids. This place truly goes above and beyond. The home was spotless, cozy, and exactly as pictured, but what really sets it apart are the thoughtful touches everywhere. The hosts clearly think of every detail, from toiletries in the bathrooms to a fully stocked kitchen, games for the family, and little surprises that made our stay feel extra special.Communication was effortless from start to finish, and check-in could not have been easier. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure we had everything we needed. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived.The house itself is perfect for groups, comfortable queen beds, multiple living areas, great outdoor spaces, and so many fun amenities like the fire pit, pool table, darts, and an enclosed porch. Retreat at Buxton Lodge

Our family of four enjoyed a visit to Buxton Lodge during the end of year school holiday. Leading up to our trip, the communication with Melissa was fantastic and the registration/check-in process a total breeze. We all felt right at home the moment we arrived. The house was decorated for Christmas and very cozy. Each of us quickly found our favorite spot! Melissa was very thoughtful in the small hosting details (leaving hot chocolate and snacks for the kids, having basic spices and condiments for cooking) that enhanced our experience and made us want to return on our next visit to Saw Creek.

Great home away from home!

Great location providing a getaway to a place of peace and serenity. Easy access to Delaware Water Gap for hiking, Pocono Indian Museum, and Pocono Snake and Animal Farm. Access to great community ammenities including pools, playgrounds, tennis court, basketball. The hosts are very responsive to questions and provided a nice surprise with snacks, bottled water and smores fixings. Appreciated the firewood provided for firepit and fireplace. Plenty of family fun for inclement weather with karaoke, games, pool table, and foosball table and multiple televisions. Thank-you for sharing a wonderful home away from home with our family!

Wonderful!

Melissa was absolutely wonderful. She was so quick to respond to any questions we might have had when booking. As soon as you walk in, you can see how much love they put into the Buxton Lodge and their guests! We were greeted by a lovely Happy 20th Anniversary note on the message board, along with a surprise gift. All the cozy personal touches and the decor were exceptional! There were so many spaces to sit and relax. My favorite was the screened porch. It had such a soothing vibe. This place has everything you need and more. We will definitely be back! Thank you Melissa for the use of your home. It is one of the best!

Didn't need a thing!

Melissa's home was truly one of my favorite places I've stayed. The place itself was just as nice as the pictures. Everything was extremely clean, well organized, and comfortable. We loved the screened in porch, deck, and 3 lounge areas to spread out and have fun. While it's in a housing community, the house is on a cul-de-sac and hill so from the back deck you barely see any other homes at all. We didn't spend any time using the amenities, but the location itself is very close to the all the Delaware Water Gap activities. As a host, Melissa was communicative, welcoming, so thorough, and added lots of special touches for our birthday celebration. Thank you so much, we loved it!

Unwind at Buxton Lodge

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Buxton Lodge. The home is immaculate and beautifully designed. Every room has special features making the home cozy and comfortable. We loved the sun room with the special lights, the coziest deck chairs, and the fire pit. We enjoyed games of pool and darts and the home is fully equipped with other games, books, cards,TVs, gaming, karioke, in addition to a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed spending time on the back deck enjoying nature, even had a visit from a deer that took a rest nearby. Beautiful home, fantastic host who remained available and communicative, though we had no issues. The community offers multiple amenities and the surrounding areas also provides many attractions. We will definitely return!

Logical and Lodge-ical

My entire family enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this property. The home itself had everything you could possibly need if rained or snowed -in: tvs, games, fireplace, and ample space to congregate or seclude oneself indoors or outdoors. The game room with bar in the basement was a huge hit. Plenty of privacy. Full access to all the amenities at Saw Creek; our favorite was the private ski area and sledding hill. Melissa was very communicative, very helpful and informative; she and her home made us feel very welcome and very looked-after. The property had many warm, personal touches, the decor was perfection, and felt very much like staying in a mountain cabin/lodge. We would definitely return!

A Delightful Retreat and Exceptional space.

What truly made our stay exceptional was the host's outstanding hospitality. From the moment we made the reservation, the host was prompt, responsive, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly, The level of communication and attentiveness displayed by the host.They also left thoughtful touches, such as a welcome basket and a wish board which added a personal touch to our stay. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend both the vacation rental property and the host to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free getaway. We feel in love with the quiet, peaceful area when we first starting visiting a few years ago. There is always something to do in the community and even more outside the community. Choose from one of the four pools, head to Shawnee to ski, or go rafting down the Delaware but you can always return to The Buxton Lodge and relax on the deck or enjoy the fire and unwind!

We have put a lot of hard work and long hours into this house to make it feel like a home but also a vacation. We wanted a welcome feel with modern touches but all the comforts of home. You can pack and bag and head to the lodge and everything will be there. We want you to feel like your staying at your families home.
