Waterfront DUPLEX in Key Colony Beach, center of the Florida Keys! Fabulous open water views, no obstructions... watch Sunrise from the back yard dock in the morning. Then fish off of the lighted dock with bonus underwater lighting. NOTE: Shared common areas with guests of the other 1/2 duplex Property #2178313 - pool, hot tub, outdoor cookout, grill, Blackstone griddle, ice machine. Each 1/2 duplex has own dock for 1 boat and parking for one vehicle. There are RING cameras located on the gate, the pool and tiki bar area and the dock for the safety and security of our guests and the premises. Only Exterior Ring cameras that are not intended to intrude on the privacy of guests, but rather to provide security. Read more Reviews for Property #2178313, the other 1/2 side which has been in rental thru VRBO since 2021. This side 1 bed 1 bath has only been a vacation rental since 2023, hence not many reviews. It's the same property, amenities, owners, hosts management and attention to detail as in Property #2178313 with more stays and reviews.
Rent this half which has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom - sleeps 2 Adults (Queen size sofa bed in the living room for a teenager). 4-door new stainless steel Refrigerator has built in ice maker and plenty of space for your food and drinks. Comfortable bed, white fluffy towels and soft linens. Your home away from home awaits.
Walk out the French doors to backyard tiki paradise. Pool (heated from December to March 1st); 4-person Hot tub for total relaxation & hydro therapy; Dock your boat right out back & indulge in some night fishing off of the lighted dock with underwater lighting!
Perfect for a couple with one teenager or if you want to bring the whole family/gang - rent the other side #2178313 as well, that sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms plus a pull out sofa bed. Have the maximum fun and take both sides and enjoy the whole place with your family/group!
Key Colony Beach "Gem of the Florida Keys" is located right in the middle of the Florida Keys chain of islands. Perfect home base spot to explore the entire Florida Keys. 50 miles or about 1 hour drive to busy Key West. If you care for some serious night clubbing or island shopping, Key West is the place to go. Bahia Honda state park with it's pristine beaches & awesome snorkeling spots is a 30-minute drive over the spectacular 7-mile Bridge! The location and amenities were great. The dock and backyard was exactly what we were hoping for in a vacation rental. The huge perk as a boater was the commercial ice machine available in the tiki bar. I will likely inquire in staying again in the future.

We can’t say enough good things about our stay! The house was SO clean, modern, cozy, and had everything you need. Having a pool, hot tub, and dock was just incredible! Not to mention the blackstone and grill! The location of the property is perfect! We had so much fun at this property, we can’t wait to come back! The host is awesome, and always responded immediately if I had a question! You can’t go wrong if you book this property!

Divina the host showed up to the property multiple times during our stay so we feel like we lacked privacy. She showed up once while we were in the pool and I think to introduce herself? But with no announcement first either just came right in. But could tell she was uncomfortable with something. Which is odd since we are just a laid back couple trying to have uninterrupted quiet times. Then when we would leave and come back outside things would be tidied up. Chairs moved back. We left for a walk one morning gone 35 minutes and she had been there took trash cans in. She also showed up 45 minutes before check out and started tidying things outside. Which I confronted her about. Felt like she was watching the cameras while we were thereAnd would come when we were gone. I own 5 rental properties myself so this behavior is just bizarre to me and not acceptable. I would never stay here again. Total lack of privacy and uninterrupted use. The place itself is awsome though.

Wife is gracious and pleasant. Can't say the same for C, the husband. His claims here are untrue and majority of my previous renters' experience as shared here on VRBO can attest to my Respect for guests' privacy! I do Not go inside when there are renters. Only went to property myself ONCE to check on underwater dock light and was around the tiki bar area. Introduced myself and even had a nice visit and chat with wife at the same time C. was preparing his fishing gear outside by tiki bar. Did not go back to property myself after this One and Only time. I do have pool cleaners and landscapers, and their schedule is clearly printed on the House Rules and Notes provided to guests at check in. My crew go there to clean the pool and tidy up the pool and tiki bar areas. My landscapers also do their job, and take out garbage on scheduled collection dates. Again, clearly printed on House Notes which I would expect responsible renters should read. My place is well maintained with the help of my crew. I showed up 25 minutes before their expected check out time to supervise the cleaning of the other half duplex which was a check in that afternoon. We Quietly set-up next door. Yes, C. confronted me and said he has 5 rentals and blah blah, this is not cool etc. Well, him and his wife were able to check in early on their arrival day, at least 2 hours before official check in time because I manage my housekeepers' time efficiently. That did not matter anymore! I get it, you have 5 rentals as you have repeatedly bragged to me. How about you run your 5 rentals your way and I will do mine my way. Thank you. All the best!

Being able to fish off the dock right in the backyard was very nice. Having the pool was very enjoyable.

Good time in the keys

This place was perfect for us. The pool was amazingly warm and was used by us every day as a night cap. The host was great and communication was awesome.

Honeymoon

This place was absolutely amazing. It’s got a bunch of great restaurants around it and the pool and in the back are amazing after a long day on the boat. The docking is really easy and it’s only a short ride out to the Atlantic side. There is also a marina in the same bay the house is in so getting gas or bait in the morning is really easy. It’s honestly the perfect little spot for just about anything you want to do.

Fantastic Place

This property is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy a stay in The Keys! The outside space is amazing and the house was just what we needed -- comfy bed and great appliances. Our friends rented the other side of the duplex and we had a great week around the tiki bar and in the pool. We would definitely stay here again!

All you need

Stayed here for 2 weeks with friends renting the other side. planned on doing more excursions but staying here with the pool, hot tub, and tiki bar, and being on the water we were content just to enjoy all the amenities! The hosts were very helpful if we had any questions. Would gladly book again.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The property had everything we could have asked for and more. The docks for fishing and the boat slip made it so convenient to get on the water. The house itself was wonderful—beautifully updated, comfortable, and spotless.The pool and jacuzzi were perfect for relaxing after a day out, and the tiki bar, cook area, and ice machine were such extras that really set this place apart. We also loved that paddle boards, a bike, and a kayak were provided— making it easy to enjoy the water and explore the area. The location couldn’t be better—close to marinas, fishing, and every restaurant imaginable. The tenants in #23 were no issue at all and caused no disturbance, which made the stay even more peaceful.We loved every minute of our trip and can’t wait to come back!

Great little property! Extremely clean, fishing dock was fantastic! Work with your neighbors for use of pool etc., and things work out fine. Walking distance to good food and fishing charters. Divina is a great host!

Great house on the water. Photos and description were an exact match of the property. Owner was very communicative and checked in often to ensure we had everything we needed. Would rent this property again!

Thank you for this feedback. I always tell my guests that weather is a big factor with the outdoor amenities such as the Weber grill & Blackstone griddle and cooking tools outside. The week that you were here, constant strong blowing wind and non-stop rain for many days straight made it impossible to keep up with the clean-up of the outdoor cooking area. I pretty much addressed everything you mentioned when I was there..... As for the pool noise, the efficient operation of the pool equipment and pool heater is of course necessary. This is what guests most enjoy on a cold day, pool is at 83 degrees! Anyways, all the best and hope you have a good spring!

stayed 3 weeks in the one bedroom side. All good. Great pool, hot tub, bar, atmosphere & hosts Dee & Brian. Attentive & though rough hosts. had great neighbors in the two bedroom duplex next door.All good- Bob
