Wonderful place to stay

We've been coming to San Jose for 9 years and have stayed at Las Mananitas for 5 years. It's perfect for families or anyone who wants a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Rich, the owner was wonderful to work with. Booking with him was super easy and he was kind enough to check in on us a few days into our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. You won't be disappointed staying here. The condo is well appointed and the kitchen has recently been updated. The location is great. We love staying in Phase 1 because it's closest to the beach and the pool is right out front. There is a Mega grocery store about 2 blocks away that has literally anything you want or forgot to pack. We shop there for our groceries(bakery is really good) and found that there are plenty of cabs out front if you need to haul back a big grocery run. Las Mananitas provides little wagons at the entrances of each phase so it makes it easy to unload groceries from the taxi vans and then use the wagons to get the groceries to your unit. (note: you can't take the wagons to the Mega, they are just to haul on the grounds). Our friends stayed at hotels a few properties away and they were very impressed with Las Mananitas. No loud pool electronic music blaring from 10a-10p or fighting over beach chairs at 7am. This is definitely the way to go. There are several restaurants close if you don't want to cook every meal. CJ's Deli and Cynthia Fresh are both wonderful and next door. Across from the Barcelo there are more restaurants & shopping. You can taxi in to town for more options and there is also the Urbano (aka Peso bus) that will take you into town for next to nothing. It picks up right in front of LM. There are usually taxis waiting at the Hyatt Place across the street too. Art Walk is on Thursday evenings and shouldn't be missed. Super fun. Foodies should absolutely consider a reservation at Flora's Field Kitchen. It's farm-to-table and organic and the ambiance is incredible. Their menu is online and you can make reservations online too. They are always booked and it is advisable to make a reservation online before your trip. The cab ride can be in the $30-40 range so don’t head up without a reservation. Tuesday nights they have a Fried Chicken option and it's unbelievable. We’ve been there 4 different vacations and it never fails to impress us.

Las Mananitas is beautiful, safe & relaxing. I can’t say enough great things. You will love it here. We'll be back!

Loved Las Mananitas

We stayed at Rich's place on the ground level for two weeks and absolutely loved it! This is the best location if you want beachfront in San Jose and the grounds and pool areas are exceptional. The temperature of the pools were just perfect, so refreshing! The staff are friendly, helpful and work so hard to keep the grounds perfectly groomed, and always willing to help out with anything we needed. We were so happy there. The condo has everything you need, and is cool and comfortable. The urbano is right outside your door and only 25 pesos to town for both of us. Mega store is very handy for groceries, and we checked out Cynthia's organic restaurant just around the corner and it was fabulous. Overall we had an incredible vacation and can't wait to go back! Thank you Rich for sharing your beautiful beach home with us, we had a fabulous time and will definitely come again!

Vacation!

This place is simply perfect. The view from the patio, and the pool being a mere 15 steps from your condo. The place is very comfortable, remodeled kitchen and nice amenities. Shopping and restaurants are always great. The Mega is a short walk away, and has everything you need. The owner Rich is a good guy who communicates well and had everything ready as promised. We will be back!
