Welcome to Art Haven Coastal Retreat, a charming escape in a historic building by the scenic Mill Pond fishway! Each May, witness the mesmerizing migration of hundreds of alewives to Walker’s Pond—an unforgettable natural spectacle. This beautifully renovated second-floor apartment blends modern comfort with coastal and creative charm. Immerse yourself in serene views, local wildlife, and an inspiring stay that sparks creativity.

This stylish second-floor apartment (note: stairs required) comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests, ideal for families or small groups, with no extra guest fees.

The apartment features: Two bedrooms, each with a full-size bed, plus a sofa that can be used as a full size bed in the living room.

Cool comforts: one Window AC in living room, standing fans in each bedroom, and a ceiling fan in the living room.

Entertainment: Free Wi-Fi, smart TV, board games, and a selection of books.
Fully equipped kitchen for preparing home-cooked meals.

Quirky Charm: The second bedroom is accessed through the first bedroom but includes an emergency fire escape for safety. Additionally, two small steps lead to the bathroom and bedrooms, adding to the historic character of the space.

Good food options. Bucks was ok, small portions. My go to was Marlitinis. Best Fried Haddock in my 60 years. The haddock chowder was killer and good blue cheese and bacon. Didn't cook a meal. Getting coffee is pretty easy too. Nice place. Stairs to tge upstairs weren't bad at all. Nice stay.Greg

Good location, clean, updated remodel with a good bathroom and great AC. Hui and Richard could not have been nicer and more helpful...left a welcome gift of honey from their hives. Even helped with a difficult outboard engine! Would definitely stay there again!

Spotless, charming, close to everything!

We had no idea how many fabulous outdoor adventures there are in this area, WITHOUT the Acadia crowds! This property is beautiful: super clean, comfortable furniture, very responsive and helpful host. We will be back for sure - it's a find!

Convenient & Comfortable

We chose this rental because it was close to all that Blue Hill has to offer. We visited Castine, Blue Hill and Stonington, all a short drive from this rental. It was well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the location next to an old Mill Pond as well.

Great spot!

The location is perfect. So many adventures in every direction! The apartment was very clean and cozy. Our kids loved checking out the fish in the backyard. That was a huge bonus. All in all, it was the perfect spot for our family of four!

Peaceful hideaway

I needed a quiet respite from a busy life and this space provided that! Not only was it clean, artfully designed/decorated, but it had a beautiful view of a pond and stream with the relaxing & meditative sound of the water heard at all times! Close to hiking trails & other beautiful scenery as well! Will recommend to others!

The apartment was just as described. Completely comfortable, cute and quirky. I would have loved for some outdoor space to enjoy, as the apartment was directly on the road. Our stay was during a heatwave and the bedrooms were incredibly hot. With only one a/c in the living room it was very tough keeping the furthest bedroom a reasonable temperature. Children’s toys and a smart tv were great for the kids. Checking in&out was easy and we and had no problems with our host.

It is a quaint home in a wonderful location - close enough to Acadia and a great view of nature. The home has the needed amenities and there is definitely a story to the house being older and a second story with an old store potentially underneath. The only area to be aware of is the uneven floors which played on our equilibriums. It was a nice getaway.
