About this property

New-built 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths Craftsman

Summary:
Welcome to our spacious home with brand new furnishings! 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bath across 2,500 sf, surrounded by a huge 10,000 sf yard, where you'll be able to spread out and relax. The oversized garage was designed to fit two Chevy Silverado 2500s. There’s room for at least three cars in the driveway and plenty of street parking. There is no step-up to enter the front door and the main bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor.

The Space:
Recently built in 2018 with the classic style of a craftsman bungalow, this home features 10-foot ceilings, an expansive kitchen with a wide gas stove, a standalone crushed-ice maker, and a whole-home water softener. A gas fireplace brings a cozy feeling to the living room. The patio is set up with a propane grill, outdoor television, and furniture to relax and enjoy the San Antonio sunset. For digital entertainment, enjoy our high-speed wifi or one of the three TVs, one in the master bedroom, one in the living room, and one on the porch. All are Roku TVs where you'll be able to log into your accounts for entertainment.

Three bedrooms, including the ground floor bedroom, feature king beds, while two bedrooms each feature two twin XL beds (7 beds total). All mattresses and furnishings are brand new as of March 2022. We also have guardrails for the beds on hand for your little ones if needed! There are 3.5 bathrooms, including a full bathroom off the master on the ground floor, one half bath off the living room, and two full baths on the second floor, each accessible from two bedrooms.

Off the kitchen, there is a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer for your use as well as a separate mudroom. You will have private access to the entire home and backyard. The home is also secured with a True Protection security system, doorbell camera and networked locks for your convenience. While the freight train goes by on occasion behind the house, the home was acoustically designed to prevent sound intrusion and noise is minimal thanks to the "no blow" zone.

We're happy to welcome pets but ask a $100 deep cleaning fee per pet that will be applied when you specify your pets in the reservation process.

Guest Access:
You'll have the whole house, yard, and gigantic garage for your enjoyment.

The Neighborhood:
Located in a historic Beacon Hill district in San Antonio, this home is just a few minutes from The Pearl, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and other Downtown destinations! It's also less than 10 minutes from my favorite pho shop!

Getting Around:
Your best bet in this area is driving. Uber and lyft are readily available, and if you want to bring a bike, the area is nice for bicycling!

Interaction with Guests:
We will be available by phone, text, or email for any questions!

Beautiful Home
Beautiful home in San Antonio. Huge kitchen and dining room, ideal for bigger groups. Very clean. The host is very prompt to answer questions and requests. I would definitely stay there again, even though the house is near a train track. The host provided ear plugs. Very nice touch.

Nice stay in San Antonio
The house is very nice, spacious, and was clean and had a modern feel. Furniture in living area was nice. The location is great for getting around town. There are train tracks that run right behind the house and trains pass by very frequently. You can hear the train inside the house. Some in our group were very bothered by it, while others were not. So, it depends on your sensitivity to noise. The ice maker was not working when we were there, but we did see there was a stand-alone, countertop ice maker in the pantry, but we did not use it. Carpets seemed to be clean, but were very stained and could maybe use a shampoo or replacing. The owner is very kind and extremely responsive.

Lovely home-Noise Alert
The house is large with tall ceilings and lots of natural light. The kitchen is equipped with essentials. However, please note there is no working ice maker. There isn't one in the freezer and the built in is empty and a bit dirty. There is also one of the counter but we found it also dirty. The carpets throughout are in need of cleaning. Our biggest disappointment was that there is no mention of the train tracks that run the property line. The trains run all night and it is quite noisy causing sleep to be an issue. When they were passing, they did cause a slight vibration in the house as well. We also had lots of barking dogs and owners yelling at their dogs late at night. I understand this happens...but just felt it was worth mentioning. The trains were not mentioned in the description of the home and I think that is an important detail to include. We did discover ear plugs were provided in the kitchen area. Most of our group found the beds comfortable, and there were towels and washcloths provided. The master included a hairdryer but the rest did not so you might want to bring additional with you. The space is great for families and groups but we would not rent again simply due to the noise issues.

Best House Yet
Our group rents houses twice a year for livestock shows. This is BY FAR the best house we have stayed in. The beds were comfortable, the linens were high quality, the kitchen was well stocked, and the communication was fantastic. Of the dozen houses we have stayed in over the years, this is the first house we would return to. The location is not super convenient for us (we spend all day every day at the rodeo/livestock grounds); however, the cleanliness of the property and the space make it well worth the stay. Every family had their own space (3 families, three bathrooms...win/win!!) The house had plenty of parking for our trucks and a gate we could secure at night. We will be booking again next year. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

70th birthday celdbration
We spent three days in San Antonio for my husband and my 70th birthdays with our children. The house is very nice and the space was exactly what we needed. We were able to walk to a few different restaurants and then Uber to the River Walk and other places we wanted to spend time. My only suggestion is that the carpet really needs to be cleaned. Otherwise the house was very clean and well equipped.
