This is a unique experience and for those that want to be immersed in the experience of harbor living and the quiet sounds of the ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed the harbor taxi and being close to the music at the fort. Using a water taxi for transportation was really cool , dropping off in the town for dinner and a sunset cruise back to the boat, enjoying the sights and sounds of evening boat travel under the stars. It’s not for you if you can’t deal with being untethered from life , but if this world is spinning too fast , slow down and unplug on a houseboat !

What an awesome way to experience Newport - it was our first time on a houseboat and Daniel was so kind and informative during our stay. The best thing I can say is that I can not wait to visit again soon and stay on the Waterlily.

What a unique way to see Newport. The Old Port boat launch made getting to town quick and easy. Loved sitting on the top deck in the sun. A quick splash in the ocean was just what we needed.

It was beautiful to be out in the Newport Harbor. There was so much activity on the water during the day and so peaceful at night.

Danielle was a great hostess! Her Water Lily houseboat was perfect for a girls weekend or if you want a getaway with your partner. The water taxi was very convenient to get to and from town for dinner at night. It was comfortable and a great spot to hang out during a nice sunny day! Swim or dunk off the boat steps or the floating raft that is available. Relaxing on the raft was also nice! It was perfect!

We love the water/ocean/bay. So, first time staying right on the water for us. It was a fun, memorable, and unique experience. Really enjoyed the outdoor living space with great views of the sky, boats and water with and without binoculars. Danielle is an amazing host.

Best spot in Newport!

We were welcome by Danielle on the boat that was clean and ready for us! Bed linens, paper towels, paper plates, plastic cups are all there for our use, which was great! Sleeping on the boat as a dream! Jumping off the back and swimming is even better! 5 star recommend!

Such a great time on the Water Lily. My husband and i stayed and had our daughter with 3 of her friend's over one day. It was a gorgeous day on Danielle's house boat. 3 decks to enjoy. Swimming right of the boat was easy and there is an oversized float tgat my daughter anf her friend's enjoyed. Bed was very comfortable. Danielle was a great host! I highly recommend it! We'll be back!

Amazing stay with amazing views

My husband and I went for a weekend and could not have enjoyed our stay more. Getting to and from the boat by the water taxi was super easy and a nice way to get around. Danielle met us on the boat to show us the ropes. Took about 10 min to get downtown by the water taxi- was nice not to worry about parking downtown! We spent our nights relaxing on the boat enjoying the beautiful views. We definitely plan on returning again!

DO NOT STAY HERE! It is like staying in a parking lot and the bathroom smells like a sewer. The three of us (all VRBO hosts) paid for three nights but left after one. We requested a partial refund, but were denied. We were unable to get the power working, so no lights, no phone chargers, no running water. The outdoor railings were not properly secured and the inside steps were not secured at all, making the entire boat unsafe. We were given water in a used container with no seal on the plastic cap for our "fresh drinking water", the coffee maker came with a used filter with mold growing in it. There was no indoor seating except for backless stools and one of the two outdoor chairs was broken. One of our party is a blue water sailor with 60 years boating experience. Even he was unable to get the power working. Also there was no internet connection available.

Danielle is lovely and responsive; the boat itself is clean. However, there are significant issues that should be clearly disclosed. We were booked for two nights but left after the first morning. I grew up on boats and have stayed on them for extended periods; I am familiar with boat life.There is no electricity on the boat. There is a generator located on the dock that guests can pull start, which can be used sparingly to make coffee in the morning and charge phones; nothing at night. The bathroom odor was intolerable. During my stay, I ended up using a bucket as a toilet.There are safety concerns with the railings, both when getting on and off the boat from the water taxi and with the railings around the boat itself. They did not feel secure enough to rely on.Another major concern is the brown, sludge-like liquid coming from the ceiling and light fixtures, both inside and outside the boat. In the morning, I woke up to find brown liquid covering the kitchen counter. My belongings were next to the kitchen counter and fortunately, they were zipped in a waterproof bag and my clothes did not get damaged.I appreciated Danielle’s communication, however, she is dealing with an uninhabitable property for paying guests. The boat should be scuttled.

We had such an amazing stay on this houseboat in Newport Harbor! The location was unbeatable—right on the water with beautiful harbor views, yet still close to all the restaurants & shops. Waking up to the gentle rocking of the boat and watching the sunrise over the harbor was unforgettable. A water taxi picks you up right at the houseboat and brings you to wherever you need to get to! All of the crew were so helpful and friendly! The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It felt like the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation—unique and fun, but also cozy and peaceful.The host, Danielle was wonderful, easy to communicate with, and made the whole experience seamless from check-in to check-out.Highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for something special in Newport—you won’t forget it!
