A short stroll to the east will lead you to the mile long white sands of Shipwreck's beach. This beach is popular for sunbathing, bodysurfing, boogie boarding and surfing. Wonderful hiking trails along Shipwreck rock and well renowned Poipu Bay golf course offer picturesque views of Keoniloa bay and Mahauleupu's coastline. Between the months of November to March, Keoniloa Bay is a playground for humpback whales.

To-Ha was a great host. Clear and timely communication, and even was flexible and let us extend our trip by a day when the family we were going to stay with next got sick. A perfect location! We made this our base camp and had so many great excursions from here. And being able to walk to a sandy beach, right from the condo, was such a convenient and wonderful thing. The home itself is exactly as pictured. Nice and clean. Great communication with the owners. Note: the bed is firm. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay

Spent 10 days here, everything about it was great. The owner is very responsive and took care of everything. This is one of the nicest condos we have stayed in on any island in Hawaii! Super clean, well maintained, comfortable bed, nice furnishings, just a great place to spend a vacation. The ocean view and proximity to walking paths and the Hyatt makes this a perfect choice for a relaxing time in Poipu.

Our Kauai stay

We spent 6 nights at Poipu Sands. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. The view was gorgeous and we saw turtles every day. The condo was immaculate and well stocked. We can't wait for a return visit.

Here alone to attend a conference at the Hyatt next door and preferred the extra space and privacy of a condo over a hotel. Well appointed, comfortable, with lovely access to large lawn and ocean view. Host was incredibly responsive and flexible with early check in/late check out requests. Would stay here again.

Great Spot

We had a lovely time. Our stay was unfortunately pretty short, but the location was perfect for a wedding we were going to at the Hyatt next door. Communication was great with the property manager and we had no issues. Kitchen was well stocked, although we didn’t really use it! Hope to stay for longer next time.

Perfect Poipu Stay

My husband and I enjoyed 14 days in this lovely condo. We have stayed at Poipu Sands twice before and have always been impressed with the units and location. This condo was no exception! It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Communication with the owner was spot on and the first floor location provided easy access. Walking to Poipu Beach and seeing all the basking turtles and monk seals was an added bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend it or stay there again if we visit the beautiful garden isle once more.

Beautiful Poipu Condo

We stayed at To-Ha’s beautiful condo at Poipu Sands for 9 days and everything was excellent. Great communication and easy to check in even though we arrived very late at night. Large parking lot and there was always an available spot. The condo was great and very clean, it contained everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and there were soft bath and beach towels included. Beaches were in close walking distance, great view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here.

Poipu Sands

My daughter and I had such a good time on our visit. This is a great location on south side of island. This was our second trip to the island both times we stayed at this complex. This unit was one building closer to the ocean than we were last year. Condo was in great condition. Short walk to the beach and pool. Enjoyed watching and listening to the ocean every morning with coffee and my book! It’s only a mile walk to the beach that has sea turtles every night.

Amazing hosts!

So we didn’t actually get to stay here because our daughter ended up in the hospital prior to our trip. However, the host was incredibly understanding and compassionate for our situation. This was absolutely not his problem to solve but he volunteered to refund the cleaning fee plus some which was very kind and way above and beyond. It’s so nice and rare to encounter such generosity and kindness. We’ll be back for sure. Mahalo!

Wonderful Stay on Poipu!

We arrived to our condo to find it sparking clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a 6 day stay. It was just my son and I, but is big enough for a family of four. Everything you need for a day at the beach is in the outside patio closet, including mask and snorkel. No need to hit the rental shop. We cooked a few meals at home as we had all the utensils to do so. BBQ just a short walk across the grass. Linens and towels were soft. AC in bedroom, but didn’t really need it. Open up the windows and enjoy the breeze! Neighbors were amazing. Thanks for a great stay.

12 days in paradise

Condo was perfect for us, a family of 4 (husband, wife, 15 and 13 year old kids). Loved the fact that we could walk out the patio door and see the ocean, walk in the well manicured grass, walk 50 yards to a gas grill which we used twice, and walk/jog 500 yards to the left and be at the Grand Hyatt as well as the ocean front. Everything about the place was wonderful. The only comment I would make, and this is definitely not a complaint, is that if a couple is looking for privacy from their kids, the bedroom arrangement is a bit 'open floorplan' to the living room. We loved the layout, just a heads up. To-ha was a great host, allowed us to check-in a couple hours early, and responded quickly to any questions we had. If we come to Kauai again, we'll seriously consider doing it all over again! -Rick

Luxurious condo in sunny Poipu

We stayed here for 2 weeks on our honeymoon. We would highly recommend this place. -unit is spacious and clean. It has everything you need to cook meals from home in the well stocked kitchen, which is very useful for longer trips when you don’t want to eat out every night. Ground floor Lanai (deck) does get a decent ocean view. Comfortable bed. 2 toilets and 3 sinks, very luxurious shower -Despite having AC and visiting in July, we never ran it as the units gets very good airflow at night when you leave all the windows open -host was very sweet and also attentive. She reached out during an island wide power outage to ensure we were okay. Very easy to get a hold of -unit comes with beach chairs, boogey boards, and snorkel gear. This was very useful as we didn’t have to rent a board and could also use the chairs on the beach -nice pool very close by. Ground are nice and well maintained -minutes away from Shipwreck beach on foot. There is also a nice walking trail you can do if you continue past Shipwreck beach -5 minute drive to Poipu beach. The proximity was great and allowed us to spend a lot of time there -tons of parking outside the unit itself so you never had to worry about finding a spot Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend this unit and host.

We agree with all the positive reviews, just a perfect place to stay. We enjoyed that the large lanai had lounge chairs, shade and plenty of chairs around a good sized table. We’ve stayed at condos where you couldn’t sit outside from lack of shade. And if you want sun, just move the lounge chairs unto the lawn. Also, there are 2 French doors that provide privacy from the living room so maybe they were added after a comment. Wonderful walk along the ocean to either the Hyatt on one side or the Hilton tiki bar and grill on the other. Pool is a short walk up soft lawn and was the perfect temperature. The kitchen had many high quality items to make gourmet meals. Lots of spices, oil, vinegar. Plenty of dishes, glasses, and even champagne glasses. One of the nicest, well cared for condos we’ve stayed in. Now I want to recreate their beautiful stone/ tile shower at our home.

We especially love to take care of people and give them the feeling of being warmly welcomed into our home. We love the outdoors, especially gardening and hiking. Since living here, though, we are trying to become more practiced with water activities like paddle-boarding and kayaking. We are looking forward to hosting you and will do our best to make your stay comfortable as well as help you enjoy this beautiful island. For my part, I am a big foodie, I can eat anything from any cuisine! Well, I draw the line at eating bugs or anything that has more than 4 legs or beady little eyes! I am a passionate reader and am obsessed with the Harry Potter books, when each first came out I would read through the night and finish it in a couple of days! Both my daughter, Amanda, and I are serious geeks about anything HP. I am extremely friendly and a little kookie in my sense of humor which most folks seem to like! For those that don’t, my apologies ahead of time! Besides English, I am also fluent in Vietnamese, and hoping to learn more Spanish as well as Hawaiian. Oh, and I also love shoes!
