Stayed for the Kauai half marathon and had a lovely time. It was very close to the shuttle taking people to the starting line and I was able to make my own breakfast before the race.

Great ocean view with close proximity to Grand Hyatt Kauai

Great place to stay, view was amazing -definitely has a 70’s vibe to it. The couch was very comfortable. Bedrooms could use some updating, Listing says AC but need to read the particulars/fine print as it was just portable AC units in the bedrooms. Beach towels were available to use. Pool was great. Very close to the Grand Hyatt which has great restaurants and amazing beach. Coffe was not provided so make sure you bring your own.

Nice enough, but needs some things

Condo is described as luxury. it’s nice, but luxury it is not. AC is only by portable units in bedrooms only. Bathrooms, kitchen and living area can get warm. Yes, there are ocean breezes if the doors or open, but it was misleading IMO to market it has having AC when the entire unit does not. On a 5 star scale, it is probably more like 3 3/4 stars. Nice, yes. Luxury, not really. The Grand Hyatt next door is where I would stay in the future.

Wonderful Poipu Condo!

Terrific condo. Well stocked, beautiful ocean views. Close to many great beaches on the south shore. This was our 3rd time staying in this condo and will be back again very soon. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous place!

We absolutely loved this rental. It was so clean and beautiful with wonderful decor. The view was amazing and the location ideal. There was construction happening during our stay, which we were made aware of beforehand. It wasn't terribly obtrusive but it did get pretty loud. But we still had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Best balcony with ocean view!

We loved our stay at this property! Very clean and had all the amenities, great location with walking distance to beach and walking paths. And one of my favorite parts: the HUGE balcony with ocean views, lounge chair and high top table to eat meals at. Great value for the amount of space you get. Feels private. Highly recommend!

Wonderful trip!

We had an amazing stay! The condo was absolutely fantastic! The view was stunning! The condo had everything we needed. We loved Puka Dog and Da Crack for fairly cheap eats and seeing the turtles on Poi’pu Beach each evening. Mountain Tubing and the Rum Safari Tour were both an absolute blast. We did a Resort Pass to the Grand Hyatt right next to the condo one day and that was so nice. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Pleased & Enjoyed Stay At This Beautiful Property.

I was very happy staying at this property. Some of my favorite things about the property was the ocean view from the lanai. It was wondrous to just step out and see the water from the lanai. I appreciated having the washer/dryer; the 2 master bedrooms were great. If we ever visited Poipu again I would consider staying here in the future.

Lovely and well-located

The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, and we found it spotless. It’s just next door (by seaside pathway) to the Grand Hyatt, where you can enjoy tasty (and pricey) meals. The ocean that the property overlooks is beautiful but, when we were there, was red-flagged as too dangerous for swimming. Safer beaches are nearby. We would stay here again.

Favorite Island

The location was great. No air conditioning which didn’t realize but they produced fans which wasn’t great but worked. Restaurants are wonderful. Beach House favorite.

We loved our location and view from our balcony! Enjoyed hearing the waves crashing at night!

It was a great experience and loved the place. Loved the waves crashing against the shore at night and the view of the ocean from our balcony. Wish had fans to move air at night! Ceiling fans didn’t have but one speed and wish could have turned up!!

Beautiful stay and great location!

We enjoyed our stay in Kauai. The condo was perfect for my husband and adult daughter and her boyfriend. The separate bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom was great! We ended up eating out only once as we preferred to cook and eat in the condo out on the lanai where we could enjoy the sound and view of the ocean. The kitchen was well appointed. We made use of the cooler, umbrella, chairs and boogie boards! The condo was comfortable and clean. We didn’t miss the AC since we just opened the windows to let the sea breezes flow through. Thanks for a great stay!

The only improvements I would suggest is to have Keurig coffee pods ( both regular & decaf) available on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking but not perfect for a serious cook. Appliances work very well, location is ideal & management company is very attentive. Condo is spotless. Had a really wonderful time. Thank you.

Badly in need of a renovation

Of our 12 or so trips to the islands this condo was among the worst. On the plus side, Garden Island was great. the condo was immaculately cleaned and all the major appliances were practically new. That being said, the apartment cries out for a makeover. I won't go in to specifics because I hate to type and the list would be lengthy. I won't be staying in this particular condo again, but wouldn't hesitate to deal with Garden Island Rentals again.

We were also disappointed that when we notified the property rental office that the ice maker in the frig was broken, but it was not repaired.

Nice and clean with ocean view

This was a nice property. i was hesitant to book this because there were no reviews, but here it is! It is very much like the ad describes it. First of all, it was very spacious, plenty of room for everyone. The lanai was great and had a good view of the ocean. It was the place to drink morning coffee or hang out after a days adventure. The location was great and within walking distance to the beautiful grounds at the Hyatt. The neighborhood felt safe and was very quiet. The pool was nice and hardly anybody there. so here is why 1 star was deducted. (5 stars mean perfection) The unit itself does not have air conditioning. The guest room cooled off if you keep the windows open, however, the master bedroom was hot and stuffy! There were some ceiling fans that didn't do much and one other small fan that we kept going in the master the whole time. The patio screen door was sticky and then fell off with a gust of wind. Even though the place is renovated, the property itself felt dated. It was priced fairly considering this. This place was a safe, clean, older condo that has a great lanai and location.

Very Nice Unit in a Prime Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed 12 days at Poipu Sands, unit 427. Great ocean views and convenient location to both Koloa and Poipu. Also, the beach trail was basically right outside our door. The grounds are well-maintained, with a lovely variety of tropical plants and flowers. We really appreciated having beach chairs and coolers, as well as plenty of beach towels. Also, it was so nice to have a working washer and dryer, as well as plenty of linens. The unit itself was clean, although not sparkling. We found a few dishware items that weren't quite clean, so just ran everything through the dishwasher once and we were good to go. The dish drainer and silverware holder were both dirty and also got washed in the dishwasher. One overhead fan wouldn't shut off, so we called Garden Island Rentals. The maintenance guy showed up right away to replace a battery. He was very friendly and capable. A few suggestions for the unit: Please get some better skillets. We made breakfast most mornings and the pans wouldn't sit flat on the stove due to warping of the bottoms. Also, why not invest in some curtains or blinds for the north bedroom? The light shines in from the street lights, which was a bit annoying. Other than those minor issues, we were very happy at #427 and would definitely stay there again. I have to add a note here about Garden Island Rentals- they were great to work with! Very friendly and quick to respond to questions during the booking process. Once we arrived, Jenny was on-the-spot whenever we called. A really nice touch was that they left us a card and nice selection of welcoming gifts to celebrate our birthdays. Thank you!
