New to VRBO. Modern mountain retreat 8 miles from NorthStar and 15 miles from Alpine/Palisades. Surrounded by N. Tahoe Regional Park with miles of hiking, X-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails with lake views, tree ropes course, disc golf, and tennis courts right off the backyard. 4 miles from the Nevada border and casinos. 2 miles from Kings Beach. 2 miles from Garwoods and mini-golf. A private hot tub, chef's kitchen, BBQ, and 4 large bedrooms (2 with ensuite) provide a relaxing, comfortable stay.

This house has only one adjacent neighbor and is surrounded by forest with mountain views. Upstairs is an open floor-plan great room, dining area, and large kitchen with soaring ceilings, all with modern high-end furnishings perfect for entertaining. A sunny upper deck is attached with an 8-person table for outdoor dining. Also upstairs is the master bedroom and ensuite with dual sinks, Jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. A guest bathroom sits right off the great room.

Downstairs is 3 bedrooms (one its own apartment with ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet), 2 bathrooms, laundry, and a large common/play area with a TV. 2 sliding glass doors lead to the fenced-in backyard and spacious lower deck with a private hot tub, which is concealed from the only neighboring house.

Approximately 2,800 square feet. Gig-speed internet and 4 cable TVs are installed.

2-car parking in the garage and 3-car parking in the driveway is included. County laws prohibit street parking.

Why they chose this property

This is one of the best neighborhoods in Tahoe. This is a quiet neighborhood adjacent to North Tahoe Regional Park. To access the Park, walk behind the house via the service road that runs beside the fence, then turn left at the street (Donner Rd) for the Park entrance. To walk to the lake, turn right on Donner Road to reach National Ave, which runs 0.4 miles down to the lake and beach access. Boat rentals are available at North Tahoe Marina where National Ave ends. Sandy Beach, Atagam Beach, and Moon Dunes Beach are also walking distance, and Kings Beach is nearby.
