So cozy and perfect for a small family! Great location to be able to come and go from the beach as needed. We stayed with our two small children and dog and it was absolutely perfect.
This was our 7th stay at this cottage because we love it so much! It feels so secluded even though there are cabins close. Everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation on such a great beach. Tim is great at communication. I already booked our 8th visit!
This is the perfect private getaway that has anything you may need. The beach is pristine, the coziness is spot on, and the Alcons Brew Haus (just up the road) made our experience one to remember. We will be back here, what a gem right on Lake Huron!

Hi there! Thank you for the nice review, we so appreciate it! Your included pictures were certainly a bonus. Please come back again, you’re welcome anytime…. If you cross country ski or need a wintertime getaway, the cottage is open!
Absolutely amazing place here we love it every time we come here no matter what season of the year it is. Out of 1-10 this lovely cottage is 10 hands down
Always an amazing time at cabin. A step away from the beach or a cozy night by the fire. This place gave us the best week of getting away and it can for you too.
Tim and Sandy were responsive and helpful. The house and beach are very private. We enjoyed the hot tub and the king size bed. The house is a perfect example of the "Up North" experience we were looking for!

This place is a gem. The location was convenient, and exactly as described and had everything we hoped for. We did not want our stay to end! We had the best time, and our dog loved it too. The hosts were very accommodating and the communication aspect was wonderful.
Second visit and we'll be back again! We loved it and our 2 labs did too.

About the host
Hosted by Tim and Sandy Reed
Sandy grew up in nearby Harrisville. Tim grew up in Howell and spent lots of time at his grandparent's Lake Huron home. We both love the area and that big lake! This is the best beach around, NO STONES! So.....here we are! Our favorite time of day at the cottage is the morning....Sipping coffee on the deck with feeling of sunshine and the natural wood deck beneath your feet is the best!
Why they chose this property
With 100" of private beach, to the south, a privacy fence offers a sense of seclusion, ensuring that your escape feels even more intimate. This feature invites you to relax freely in your outdoor space without concern for prying eyes. To the north, a lush area of trees provides a natural buffer between you and your neighbors, enhancing the feeling of being enveloped by nature. The cottage sits comfortably pushed back from the main road of US 23, allowing for peaceful solitude while still being conveniently accessible.
What makes this property unique
We love spending time on the beach swimming, walking and sun bathing. In the evenings we love to build a fire and star gaze. If you live in metropolitan area you will be amazed at the star shine. Keep watch for the northern lights too. Weather your sipping coffee on the porch as the sun rises over the lake, enjoying a bonfire in the evening, or simply soaking in the beauty of your surroundings, this vintage cottage offers a perfect year-round-retreat-an ideal blend of comfort, nature, and privacy.
