This is my go to place in my periodic visits to the Oscoda Area. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating making sure you enjoy your stay. The house rules are reasonable so that all the guests can enjoy their stay. I always pick cabin 10, because of the deck right near the waterline. The cabin is well furnished with everything you may need. Looking forward to my next stay. BTW, our stay was nice and quiet due to the time of year with very few other vacationers

Beautiful beach and view from the large deck. Quirky decor - an odd mix of cozy cabin and beach life. At the end of their summer season, some things were in need of a deep clean. The bedding was Clean and fresh but the beds are Small with not much room to move about in the bedrooms or for storing personal items. The off-season price was right for the accommodation.

Was surprised how small it was. Needs TLC! Found greasy utensils in drawer and pans that were not washed. Shower curtain has mildew stains on the bottom of curtain. Lake view was pretty.

The cabin is really cute and well stocked, the deck is truly wonderful, we just picked the wrong week to stay somewhere with no air conditioning. Yes, there are plenty of fans and if you don't mind the heat it won't bother you. Checked the weather for the following week and it would have been exceptional to be there that week! The water is gorgeous- clean and clear, the beach is beautiful, with amazingly soft sand. Would definitely stay there again!

Dreamy location!

We stayed for three nights for an anniversary getaway and couldn’t be happier. The cabin was clean and cozy and the view was unbeatable. We spent a lot of time in the cabin reading and it was perfectly comfortable for the two of us. We loved the solitude of the off-season but are hoping to come back sometime in the summer—and to bring the kids, who would absolutely love this deck and this beach. This isn’t a super high-end accommodation, so expect some quirks (small shower, slow-draining sink, that sort of thing). These are all things I expect of a beach house, though, and didn’t detract from our stay at all. One word of warning: if you’re hoping to sleep in, don’t think you can just “sneak a peek” at the sunrise and go back to sleep. This is the sort of beauty that demands you wake up and admire it!

Gets better every year

This is our third summer, and it gets better every year! As always, the cabin is very clean. They make improvements to the property every year. The beach is perfect. We look forward to our week there every year!

Birthday getaway!

Thanks you, Tim and Nancy, my husband and I were so pleased with our cabin 10 accommodations! Even though the weather was cool, windy and at times, rainy, we enjoyed every minute. I’ve never spent time on Lake Huron, always on Lake Michigan, I was so impressed! The area is is fabulous and has a lot to offer.

What a great cottage right on the water. I fell asleep listening to the waves every night, so relaxing. Sunrise every morning was amazing! I will stay here again!

Second year - better than the first!

We stayed in a cabin with a deck this year. It was great! The cleanliness of these cabins surprises me, given that they are literally on the beach. We had a great time during out second summer, and look forward to next year!

Affordable, Cozy, Waterfront, Beach cabin. What more could your want?

We booked this 4 day staycation for my youngest's birthday, so it was my Husband, two kids (9yr & 7yr), and myself. I'm so grateful to the owners tips with the driving directions, as we did in fact pass the cabins and turned back around. The lot isn't huge, but we still found a spot easily, and the walk to our cabin (we stayed in cabin #10 with the deck, definitely recommend the deck!) was short and quick. The cabin itself does have some wear and tear, a bit of siding damage, outdated electrical, small plumbing and floor issues...but IT'S A WATERFRONT BEACH HOUSE! Of course there's wear and tear. I found the staff did a great job at keeping things clean. The cabin is very cozy, I think 4 people may have been it's limit, and I got a good laugh squeezing into the small standing shower (for reference I'm only 5'5" tall, and I bumped my elbows, also my yoga came in very handy when attempting to shave lol). But it has great hot water. My kids came in for a quick shower after every swim session, and we never once ran out. The view here is absolutely incredible, honestly breath taking. So who cares if the cabin is on the smaller side, you should honestly be outside enjoying the beauty of this private beach. Visitors were in other nearby cabins, but everyone was respectful and kind. There was a small, open, central storage area with beach toys and chairs to share. I could go on and on about this cabin, but recommend you check it out yourself instead, I promise you won't regret it.

Miami Beach Resort

Beautiful view. The Cabin had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable. The shower water was hot. I have no complaints.

Great location

The cabin was decently sized and had a cozy feel. The stove, fridge, microwave and cookware was great to have so we could spend more time at the beach instead of going out for food. The deck was awesome and was well built. It would have been nice to have a spot to put an umbrella on the deck for shade. The two day stay was a bit pricey but it was a great vacation spot for a family. With the beach and deck right there it was the most perfect setup I could have asked for.

Perfect location, not so great inside

Let me start out by saying the location and beach were absolutely perfect. Easy access to two cute towns, and being right on the beach was beautiful. The deck was awesome, and we spent a lot of time out there listening to the waves. However, the inside of the cabin needs a lot of work. There’s two sets of blinds in the kitchen, both very filthy & one was actually burnt in one area. The coffee pot was being held together by masking tape & we ended up purchasing one and leaving it for future guests. The sheets in one of the rooms had mildew all along the bottom of it, which was only found upon leaving and checking to make sure we had all my child’s things out of the bed. The biggest issue, though, was the floor in the bathroom. It was separating near the shower & extremely soft. It felt like we could fall through at any point. From speaking with another guest, we learned the owners are newer and in the process of trying to fix up the property. I completely get that, but maybe the cabins needing this much work shouldn’t be rented out until major issues are fixed. Especially when they are willingly renting it out to families with small children or older (60+) people. I also spoke with a couple that was in a cabin next to us that said when they got there, the cabin wasn’t clean & smelled of mildew. Butter splattered all over the stove from the last people that were in it & pieces of food left in the fridge. Will definitely be back to the area, but probably not this resort.

Great Little Beachfront Cottage
