The view was lovely, and the house has that vintage Michigan lake house vibe. It reminded my husband of his grandparents’ cottage he grew up visiting. The newly remodeled kitchen was wonderful. We cooked at the house once and we had some nice meals at restaurants in the 30-mile range. This is the heart of agricultural Michigan, so there are nice farm markets everywhere.

Everything was adequate. The only drawback was the neighbors. They definitely gave a vibe from the TV show Ozark. Those neighbors even accused us of stealing their roadside firewood. They made the children uneasy. But other than that lovely conversation with the “Darlene Snell” of Michigan, the cottage was really cute with lots of room

The property wasn’t bad, wish there was another bathroom to accommodate more people. Very small area for parking, the neighbors dog was a little aggressive towards my lab.

The house was very nice, the boys enjoyed the family room, bunk beds and fishing off the dock. The fire pit was great too. Overall, a great place to stay.
