The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the location in Grass Valley was peaceful and beautiful. My family and I had a wonderful stay as we gathered to celebrate the life of our mother. It was the perfect place to reminisce, make new memories together, and explore the charming nearby towns. The peaceful surroundings made our time together even more special. We truly appreciated this beautiful retreat and would gladly stay here again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! It had everything we needed and more! Communication with the host was almost immediate before, during, and after our stay. My family plans on staying there again some day soon!

Absolutely gorgeous property! The views are amazing and the location feels secluded, yet is only 15 minutes from town. The waterful was so cool to see and there's also an awesome trail close to the house that goes to the creek. The house was clean and very well stocked. I would definitely stay again!!

The roundhouse gave such an amazing stay experience. It is a truly beautiful place. Everything was comfortable. The hot tub was a major hit as well. It is truly a place of pure beauty.

Beautiful relaxing retreat

The house has amazing views and is so cozy. From the comfy couch to the cozy beds, it was all so wonderful. The house has everything we needed to cook and spend time together. It also was close by some great restaurants sndcstores.

Charming and Peaceful!

We really enjoyed our stay. It felt like a whimsical treehouse! The view every morning was beautiful and we enjoyed hikes around the neighborhood. Great place for the family to unplug. Would definitely come again!

Amazing for groups

We loved this property so much! It was so perfect for everything we did and we even were able to have hibachi one night outside. We had several girls and the upstairs sleeping arrangements are honestly perfect. The beds are so comfy and we all slept with no issues. Air conditioning works great and hot tub was really fun to be in!

Special place

This house is just as beautiful in real life as it is in the photos. Incredible architecture, lovely decor, high quality furniture, clean and bright, beautiful views, great wifi, etc. Very easy check in and check out and great communications with owner. Excellent getaway.

Round House

Rural setting. Quiet. Great hillside views. Lovely deck for early morning coffee. Lots of wild life ( goats, wild turkeys). Plenty of room inside.

Perfect for View Lovers

We loved feeling part of the outdoors when inside of this fun yurt. A true relaxing getaway among gorgeous tree-covered hills. Lots of options for sleeping arrangements as our group came and went. I had a fantastic deep tissue massage by Skya from Nevada City who came out to the house. The home was located about halfway between Auburn and Grass Valley which was nice. Hosts were very helpful.

Round Retreat

Such a beautiful house to enjoy peace away from home. The view of the meadow, sounds of the creek, waterfall, goats, deer, geese add to the serenity. Everything we needed was at the house, but we did also enjoy a day in Tahoe City and Grass Valley. Missed the Nothern Lights but saw the stars from the floor to ceiling windows. We will come back!

The place is nice enough, but a bit out of the way from town. We were disappointed that neither one of the coffee pots worked, so bring your own. It would have been nice if the owner had responded to my concerns, but never heard back. BTW, the cottage has a hot plate with cooking utensils and pots and pans, but the rules say absolutely no cooking. The coffee pot was rusted out. A bit confused on that one. Unfortunately, it was not worth the extra 175 in my opinion.

We are sorry to receive this review, we never heard once from the guest and always respond immediately to any concern or issue that arises (by immediately I mean within minutes of receiving a message as our reviews attest to). The cottage is only intended to be a place to sleep and hang out, which we explain in the listing...we have a large fully-stocked kitchen in the main house and no one has ever wanted to use the cottage for any kind of cooking.

Bad experience that we tried to keep a positive attitude about but in the end the negatives won over on our overall experience. Dealing with this host in particular was extremely stressful and the house was not at all as advertised. It was supposed to be a quick weekend getaway that turned into a headache. On top of all of the problems with the house, I know way too much about what went wrong with the last stay because the host text me all about it. As a positive though great views!House wasn’t ready as promised because the host couldn’t access the property due to all keys being taken. Check in moved back. Late check out granted. Hot tub was broken. One of the big reasons we booked. We were open to it being fixed during our stay or a credit (conditions she had offered before we arrived). It never got fixed. Host wouldn’t give credit unless I proved a five star review at the end of the stay. Never received any refund. The texts from her wanting proof of a five star review before refund went on for days and got so stressful I had to block her on my personal phone. Bathroom door broken off of the slider. Host asked us not to use the bathroom as it will scratch the floor. Kitchen plumbing at drain not connected, discovered while draining pasta. We contacted her and she asked if my husband could fix it.Host asked us to put bath mats in the dryer that the cleaner forgot to switch over. Don’t stay here if you want to leave feeling relaxed! It’s a headache.

Sehr ruhiges Haus mitten im Wald. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Toller Blick aus dem Fenster. Der Whirlpool war sehr schön. Gute Ausstattung der Küche. Sehr sauber. Rundum ein toller, erholsamer Aufenthalt.
