Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, Fireplace, Sleeps 8, WiFi, AC, Elevator

Luxury warm and characteristic three bedrooms apartment close to Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori.

The apartment is very quiet and located at the third floor with elevator of an elegant building of four. The interiors are spacious, furnished with care and very bright from the morning till the late afternoon. When you enter the apartment you are in a comfortable entrance leading up to the spacious living room. The living together with the dining room are the hearth of the apartment, from the living you can access the first bedroom, the bathroom and the dining room. From the dining room you will able to access the other two separate bedrooms. The living room comes with a large and comfortable corner sofa, that becomes a standard double bed, an armchair and a 50'' wide led television. All the 3 bedrooms are equipped with queen size beds, the first one comes also with a nice fireplace, the second is roomy enough to eventually guest an extra bed on request. The dining room comes with American kitchen and a table that once opened accommodate up to 8 guests. The kitchen comes with gas stoves, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and cattle. The bathroom comes with a wide Jacuzzi bathtub with telephone shower, sink wc and bidet. In a separate room there is also the washing machine.

The apartment is very easy to live, the 3 bedrooms are completely independent, and the bathroom is not en-suite. Air conditioned in every room, independent heating, and WiFi broadband internet connection. We will be happy to supply a baby cot on request.

The position of this apartment is awesome, being in the hearth of the historical center. Within fifteen minutes walking you will be able to reach some of the best roman attractions: Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, St. Peter and the Vatican museums just to mention the closest ones...

It may also help to know that at less than 100 meters from the apartment you can find a supermarket (Despar - Vicolo della Moretta, 12), Bank (Cr. Firenze – Piazza della Chiesa nuova, 25), Pharmacy (Celestini – Via dei Banchi vecchi, 24), Wine shop (Vino Olio - Via dei Banchi vecchi, 14), Caffè Bar (Caffè – Via dei Banchi Vecchi, 6).

The area is also one of the most rich of restaurants and pubs, and the list of the ones close to the apartment is really huge, some of them are really just a few steps from the apartment, in Via dei Banchi Vecchi itself or in the narrow streets around.

About Owner/Manager

I am a person who loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning new cultures. I was born in Italy, in Rome, to be exact. I feel very fortunate to be born in this beautiful city where the weather is always mild.

Owner/Manager purchased this apartment in 2000

Why Owner/Manager chose Rome

Of many apartments in Rome, this is located in a perfect location. I suggest to all the people who intend to book not to rent a car. Rome is such a beautiful city that should be enjoyed on foot and this apartment is just the perfect solution.

The area is actually an extremely lively location to stay. It is possible to have speedy access to the unique city activities, attractions and tours. In addition to this, the location is also considered the center of the present day Roman life. The unique narrow streets, and the characteristic architectures, are making this area one of the most attractive of Rome.

What makes this apartment unique

I am always very attentive to details. For me punctuality is a key factor in my work. I do my best to make each customer feel like home.

In addition, before each check-in I prepare a detailed list, built according to the needs of each client, of all the restaurants and shops of products typical of Roman cuisine.

Beautiful room in a perfect spot.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here with our family of 5 (kids: 9,13,16). We walked to the Pantheon, Coliseum, Spanish Steps & Vatican City. Loved the neighborhood feel to the area instead of the shopping district of the Spanish Steps location. Restaurants & boutique shops all around. Perfect spot for us. The room was very clean & comfortable with plenty of room. Thank you!

Excellent location; great service

  • 5 of 5

My family was looking for a walkable location in the heart of Rome with enough space for two parents and three teenage children. This apartment was perfect. Luigi was excellent to work with- very professional and above-board. He even helped arrange transportation to the airport. The apartment was very clean- the bedrooms were large and inviting. We walked EVERYWHERE from here- it was an outstanding location. There is a great cafe across the street for morning pastries and coffee and a grocery store very nearby as well. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Excellent location and service

  • 5 of 5

Great location, close to just about everything. Good bus stop 200 mts away on Corso Vitor Emmanuelle. Luigi was quick to respond to our every need. The cleaning lady was prompt and very thorough. Good restaurants close by; walking distance from Piazza de' Fiori and Navona. Great for evening walks (in winter) to St Peter's

What a find!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (wife, 4 kids and mother) stayed at this wonderful apartment while in Rome, as we toured through Italy. This apartment was unique: the lighting, fireplace and furnishings all work to give the place a ton of charm. Most importantly, the apartment was easily within walking distance to all the major sights in the city.

Luigi is a great host! He couldn't have done anymore to improve our stay.

We were steps away from the Campo de Fiori, where we enjoyed hanging out in the evenings. Nearby was also a little grocery store, which had all the necessities for a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. We were also very close to Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. We walked to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, as well as the Vatican, all without any problems whatsoever. Despite the cold weather, Rome was amazing, and this apartment, and passing by Campo de Fiori every day on the way in/out, was spectacular. If you're into clothes, there's a great little tie shop, where the owner and his staff hand make ties and scarves, personalized to the customer in only 2 days. I bought 2 7-fold ties, and love them both. There was also Bessutti Tessuti nearby, which could likely go down as the most epic fabric store in the world--thousands and thousands of bolts, including Zegna and silks used by all the major italian designers--a really neat place to shop, especially if you have a tailor.

Absolutely perfect location and large enough for a family

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 6 traveling in Italy and the Banchi Apartment was perfect. The location is s 20 minute walk from absolutely everything! The grocery and church are on the same the block, cafes, coffee shops, wine shops, everything on the same street. Very comfortable and clean, three bedrooms and kitchen perfect for our family of 6. Everything was wonderful. There is one bathroom, but its truly not a problem, and thats from a mom with 4 kids. You will love this apartment.

Wish I had read all of the reviews

  • 2 of 5

I really wish I'd read all the reviews; I only read the ones here, and not on other sites..

The good: location is excellent; right off Vittorio Emmanuel, and about 15 minutes walking to most sights. The 64 and 40 buses go by every 6 minutes, 3 grocery stores within a block and plenty of places to eat This apartment is on the 3rd floor (4th American) and there is an elevator. The decor was nice, and matches what is shown on the web. Closets in 2 of 3 bedrooms, the other one has dressers.

The rest:

WIFI worked great in the living room and kitchen. Did not work at all in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. There is air conditioning; it's all controlled by the same remote and turned on spontaneously in different rooms.

This apartment has 2 bedrooms on the street, and it's quite noisy. The smallest bedroom overlooks the courtyard, but unfortunately, a restaurant is in the courtyard and the sounds of dining funnel up between 8pm and midnight every night. That's with the windows and shutters closed.

Beds are typical rental beds (hard). Nice duvets and pillows (memory foam, not flat at all). Towels thin.

The bathroom does not have a shower; it has a jacuzzi tub (didn't try the jacuzzi) with a showerhead that hooks up. It was pretty crusted over, so not a lot of water pressure. Nothing to block the water, so it goes everywhere. As a bonus, the bathroom window (no shutters) looks directly into the kitchen, so best to keep that in mind when planning showers. Heated towel rail did not work.

When you book with VRBO, the apartment manager will send you an email telling you NOT to pay VRBO, but pay them cash on arrival. When I arrived, the greeter was adamant that I pay cash; I refused and brought up my VRBO inbox showing I paid. This resulted in a phone call to "management". Then, the greeter insisted I provide my credit card details, including 3 digit security code, for a "security deposit". I declined to do so also and after another call to "management", we were given the keys and left alone.

The decor and location are nice, but the restaurant noise, bathroom situation and demands for cash payment/credit card details made this a property I can't recommend.

Owner's Response: Dear Eliza, I am sorry for the problems occurred. The apartment in question is located in a wonderful area of Rome. It is crowded in the morning, like most of the historic center of Rome, but quiet in the night. All restaurants and bars located in the center, must comply with a law prohibiting any noise nuisance after 22:00. In fact, as you have noted, many restaurants after that time don’t accept more customers on the external tables. By saying this I do not want to question your word, but I assume this might been a sporadic episode. The apartment is equipped with a mobile phone that gives the possibility to our customers to call us anytime(For Free). I would have really appreciated a phone call in which you inform me about your problems, so that you can solve them, rather than get a bad opinion after your departure. About the bathroom, I would like to inform you(as well as future guests) that I have changed the parquet surface surrounding the bathtub with a new one and now the water flow perfectly down without leaking on the sides. The window is equipped with a darkening curtain(as it was during your stay). The drying rack was off because it is controlled by the Gas heating system which, during your stay, was turned off. It start only when the temperature goes lower than 23 Celsius. About the balance, I want to point out that I NEVER asked for cash payment. I own a company and I pay all the necessary taxes, I have a credit card machine that can process payments at the check-in. This is why I kindly asked you to process the payment at the arrival and not through VRBO. To facilitate the work of our accountant, we prefer to collect the balance on the same day of customer arrival in order to don’t mix the transaction made with others. Unfortunately this is not possible with VRBO, because each transaction is delayed up to 7 working days. By saying this I am not forcing my customers to process their payment in a different way. I will be happy to accept any kind of payment. About damage deposit, as all hotels does, at check-in we require a credit card as a warranty for damage deposit(WE DON’T NEED CCV). No amount is charged at the check-in. I take my work very seriously, and I always do my best to meet the needs of my customers (As written in the numerous reviews I received during this year). I am sure that, if I had received at least one message or phone call from you during your stay, I surely may have satisfied most of your requests. Kind Regards. Luigi
