This quiet studio, located in Bastille neighborhood near the Marais, is a perfect base camp to discover Paris. You'll find all the necessary comfort to relax and rest during your stay.
The historical site of Bastille also is the ground of the new Opera house, and was traditionally the haven of the capital's artisans. Tradition is still visible nowadays and the area is filled with historical buildings. By a sunny day, it takes a pleasant 20mn walk along the Seine to reach Notre Dame.
And if you are more into contemporary culture, Centre Georges Pompidou is also a short stroll away, as are many music joints and cafés.
If you are looking for a typical market, Parisian style, the Marché d'Aligre, 6 days a week is around the corner.

Perfect Stay in the 12th

Wonderful location, well connected by the metro. Quiet, located within walking distance to Le Marais and the fun parts of the 11th. The apartment is clean, quiet and well accommodating for a long stay (we stayed for a month). Highly recommended!

Nice little place in the 12th

We really liked staying here. It had everything we needed to be comfortable while in Paris. An added bonus was that it was on the second floor so we only had to trek up 1 flight of stairs after a long day of sightseeing. The bed was comfy and the shower stayed hot.

Awesome Experience !

This was an awesome experience ! Everything was exactly as described. The location was perfect and we felt like real Parisians. The communication with Benjamin was very quick and efficient. He met us at the exact time we had set up for the keys. The apartment was functional, clean and had everything we needed. The market in Aligre is fun and there are many eateries and wineries around. We had a great time exploring Marais and can't wait to return !

This is the neighborhood to stay in!

First time to Paris for my wife and I and we were trying our best to stay in an area that wouldn't be inundated with tourists. We succeeded. Le Bastille is the perfect neighborhood for a vacation stay. The metro is a block away. 20-30 minute walk to anything that could possibly be on your list of tourist attractions. The shops, cafe's and people in this neighborhood are lovely and feel much more geared toward those who live in the city than in other parts of Paris. many restauranteurs set up shop in this area a decade ago because of cheaper rents and that has made it a gem of a locale. Benjamin the host went over and above to make us feel welcome, even giving as a short walking tour of the neighborhood to give us a lay of the land.

Perfect apartment and excellent location

This apartment was perfect for me and my boyfriend. We stayed for a week and it was a great base to explore the city, it is right next to a metro station and surrounded by restaurants, bars, markets and shops. The apartment was clean and comfortable, highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful

Benjamin was a gracious host, who made sure I had everything I needed. He made excellent suggestions about the neighborhood, which was conveniently located near two metro stops. The space was perfect for me, and I would definitely stay there again. The apartment was clean and there was plenty of space for all my belongings.

Benjamin was a great host and I liked the studio apartment a lot. Benjamin met me at the appointed time and showed me the ins and outs of the place. His instructions were perfect and it was easy to get settled in. The location was incredible, great grocery stores, cafes, shops and restaurants VERY close by. 10 minutes walk and you are in the perfect oasis of the Marais district, and in fact I could leave the apartment and stroll through the Place des Vosges quickly, which was heaven. The studio isn't big, but is perfect for one or two people. It's an old building with a lot of character, and it's faces a bright courtyard. The Bastille Metro was very close by so you could get around Paris quickly. The Seine was relatively close by, a 10 minute walk and you are at the river. The amenities were good helping to make it more like a home.

最寄りのLedru-Rollinは結構バスが集まっており、バスティーユとリヨン駅も徒歩圏なのでどこに行くにも困りません。規模大きめのMonoprixや、銀行や郵便局も近くにあります。少し行けば大通りなので治安も大丈夫でしょう。BN、ANに近く、パリ市文書館やサン・ミッシェル界隈もバス1本で行けるので、研究目的の滞在にも便利です。 室内は洗濯機、浴槽、クローゼット、タオルウォーマーなどもあり、ネットもよく通じるし、調理道具は数週間の滞在となると少し足りず買ったりもしましたが、設備も概ね充分だと思います。部屋は広いし、とても静かです。ただ、その分、自分が立てる物音にも気を付けたほうが良さそうです。 家主のBenjaminは親切で感じが良く、シーツを途中で交換したいと言ったら持ってきてくれたりもしました。メールの返事も速く、安心してやりとりできました。

So happy I booked here!

I'm so happy that I found this place online and decided to book. It was such a homely space, very simple but everything I needed. Great location with plenty around, very safe and private. The place was clean and pretty much the perfect base when seeing Paris with lots of restaurants and shops on the same street. As well as the Bastille statue roundabout at the end of street. The small negatives would have been the shower is tiny and hard to shower properly as the shower head is on a long cord which you have to hold. Also the neighbours are easy to hear however these were only minor issues and didn't really bother me. I would definitely stay here again!! Perfect.

absolutely wonderful

An absolutely wonderful place to live. Being secluded from street, the apartment is very quiet. You just get a nice feeling when you walk inside, and it feels like home very quickly. The neighborhood is lovely, and the apartment is ideally situated. You're right next to the metro (line 1 and 8), multiple bus lines, and velib bicycle station steps away. There are some wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby as well, in addition to several outstanding boulangeries. And around Aligres market you have all kinds of fromageries (cheese shops), wine shops, charcuteries, and other specialty food shops. Great music venues are also a very short walk away. Walking to the very center, Chatelet or Notre dame, is a pleasant stroll from the apartment, along the Seine. I also loved the fact there was a great bookstore nearby. There really is a truly authentic Parisian neighborhood feel to the area around the apartment. I adore it.

Quiet and Comfortable

The location was good, closed to 2 different lines' Metro, a Big Mart, many restaurant. Attractive places were also near; St. Paul, Le Marais, St. Luis. Especially Walking from the house to St. Luis alrong the river Seine is beautiful and Local Market at Metro Bstille on Sunday is interesting. the room was clean and arranged well. the surrinding neiborhood is silent and cozy. If you prefer a quite roon, here would be perfect. The most imprresive thing was the owner's attitude. I had had difficulties to find the house at first, He helped me a lot. He picked me up, showed me aroud the studio and gaive me some living information. His servive was nice. During staying there, He cheked if I would need more his help, it made me think I was a valuable customer.

Great Apartment!

This was the perfect apartment for our stay in Paris. It is on a very quiet street near the Bastille, and extremely convenient as a base to get around the city. When we booked our stay there were no reviews of the apartment so we didn't know what to expect, but we took a chance and are very glad we did. The owner, Benjamin, was great to work with and we would definitely stay here again. A great value in a great part of town.

Very good for a single female to stay

What a great little find! I was very happy staying here - all the amenities I needed (except an iron) for the 9 nights I stayed. The room is cosy but not cramped, practically furnished, the tv works well, as does the washing machine and the bed is comfy. The bath tub was fabulous for soaking my sore feet after a long day discovering Paris, but don't expect to be able to give yourself an all-over soak! There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants (the little Italian one right next door was a real find!) and shops close by, and public transport was very easy to use and find. I definitely plan on staying here again next time I visit Paris - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owner was very helpful and easily contactable, not that I needed to.

Cosy app. in a nice neighborhood

I've spend 6 nights in Bastille place with my girlfriend. Hosted by a young gentle man ready to help with solving a potential problems. The suite is hidden in backstreet so we weren't bothered by the street noises at any time. Bathroom is fine, however you won't enjoy a hot bath in this small tube. Kitchen is also well equipped, but sometimes I was missing a big knife. We've even learnt how to prepare coffee in the mashine! =) I must praise Mr. Benjamin because he have not charged me any extra euros for the broken plate... Perfect place for a couple which enjoys normal conditions with self catering in affordable price.

Great budget stay!

Bastille metro station is very close by and the bus stop at the end of the street was VERY convenient for visiting the Louvre, St Germain district, Notre Dame, and the Latin quarter. It's a small studio with a single flight of stairs up to the flat. If you plan on spending all your time in there, this place might not be for you, but if you are on a budget and want a home base from where you can explore the city then this studio is excellent. The owner was very responsive and easy to contact. The studio is in a quiet neighborhood and I'd recommend it to another couple or someone traveling alone.
