About the host
Hosted by Megan
Grey Cottage is hosted by us, Megan and Greg and our 3 children. We live part time in Port Stanley ON and part time on our sailboat. After spending 3 years in the Caribbean we crossed the Atlantic Ocean as a family and now sail in Northern Europe during the summer and move back to Port for the winter. Our sailing season means that our charming little house is open for guests during the best time of year in Port Stanley with the perfect beaches, great dining and sweet little shops just a short walk away from our front door. We hope you will love it as much as well do!
Why they chose this property
We love that our quiet street offers a park-like setting to enjoy evening fires, bird watching and a large outdoor space to relax and yet is close enough to the summer hubbub of Port Stanley that we don't need to drive anywhere if we don't want to. A dead-end street means it's safe for children and pets and peaceful enough for daytime naps as well as restful nights. Just a few minutes away however we love that downtown Port offers some of the best dining in the county and charming shops to find special new or vintage items to bring home with us. The beaches are pristine and truly are a treat during the hot summer months. Super walkable, super quiet, super special place for a vacation getaway.
What makes this property unique
Grey Cottage offers a peaceful vacation experience and yet you are an easy walk to downtown and the beaches. Our cottage boosts a large green space with no one in front or behind us, our street is a dead-end and our neighbors have been there for decades. Also, since Grey Cottage is our part-time home, we deeply care about the space being homey and welcoming, clean and comfortable. Our personal touches will make this space feel like you're home away from home, our neighbors will welcome you and our town is at your fingertips.
