Casa Malbec A - Walk to the beach - WiFi

This charming 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo is the perfect family rental that will leave both the kids and adults happy. The home has a large flat screen TV in the living area, a fully equipped kitchen and bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses. A king size bed and a flat screen TV in the Master bedroom, a queen size in bedroom #2 and two twin beds in bedroom #3 and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a washer and dryer vertical center conveniently located in the home and close to the bedrooms. The dining area has French doors opening to the balcony overlooking the pool. Other amenities include WiFi throughout the property.

A wonderful and refreshing semi-private pool (shared by only two other units) awaits you and your family when you come back from the beach. The patio also features a stone picnic table and tropical patio furniture, all surrounded by year-round flower beds.

The awesome SPI beach is only a short walk away, and there are a couple of good restaurants also at walking distance from the home, such as PadreRita Grill and Blackbeards, two of my favorites!

Notes:
- Swimming pool is not heated - This property is registered and holds an occupancy permit with the city of South Padre Island - House-trained pets allowed through a small pet fee.(2 max) usually $59 per pet. If it was not included on the original quote, it may be charged after reservation is booked

Great stay walking distance to the beach!

We loved this place! We had the whole upper unit and were able to fit our large family perfectly. The pool right outside the back deck was a great added bonus! But the best part was the quick (5 min) walk to the beach! Would definitely recommend this place!

This was a beautiful cozy spot that was just minutes away from the beach and anything else that you want to do. The pool was perfect if you didn’t want to go to beach. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again.

Perfect location and comfort

Our family of 4 and cousin's family of 3 enjoyed a fun 2 night stay. It is a short, easy walk to the beach. The condo was clean, fully stocked and comfortable. The kids took advantage of the pool both evenings. We had one question at check-in and the host responded immediately to resolve the issue. Would happily stay here again!!!

Rainy stay

The property was as described. We all really enjoyed the unit we stayed in. I gave a 3 on the communication only because i emailed a question about parking a golf cart rental which went unanswered. Other than that, check in and check out emails came in a timely manner.We'd stay here again, especially if the bottom units go unfilled as was our case.Great time, even though it rained the entire time we were there.

Property clean, large master bdrm & bath access to patio, large kitchen & dining very organized, 3drm & 2 ba. Large back open porch, great location. Half a block from Beach access 13. Good size clean pool. Large backyard with bbqs & shade under pergalo. Our family was very comfortable. Host was easy to contact & good about sending instructions & checking to see if we were doing ok.

I didn’t go to stay at this place Casa A Malbec, which I had reserved and paid for, but my son stay there which it was arranged for him, when he arrived there to get into the place, my name was not on the list and he had to call the property manager in order to get the code for the house and to see that all was working correctly, but other than that he like the house where he stayed at

Very Nice but could use a little TLC.

We enjoyed staying in the house but needs a little TLC. Our overall exprience was great. The Beach was just a block away and easy access. Able to see the Fireworks from the Bay from the balcony in front. A few suggestions that would make the next stay better. The Refrigerator was very noisy and needed a few more Towels and washcloths if staying all week. It would be nice to have an outside shower when coming back from the beach to keep sand out of the pool. Curtains to block the light from Bedrooms would be nice. The light from the outside Pool was bright in the bedrooms if others tenants are swimming. It was great and would stay there again.

Thank you for the review. Let me start by saying, I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and since I am the owner and I am local, I am very easy to contact and can take immediate action on most issues or concerns. I would like to address each of the concerns expressed in this review so my future guests have a complete picture. There are two outside showers on each side of the building, used by guests to remove sand before entering the swimming pool. This stay was for 4 nights, and the unit has a washer and dryer combo and laundry detergent is provided to wash towels or any other cloths as required. By the way, longer stays are provided with additional towels. The refrigerator was noisy, correct!...Too bad I never received a phone call or text. It was my Cleaning Crew that reported it and it has been replaced. Easy as that! I own this building and I take care of maintenance, and periodic improvements and upgrades and are very proud of it. As I mentioned above, it is very easy to contact me, and I do take action immediately whenever possible!

Owner is super responsive and friendly

We stayed a total of 8 days, with 8 of us. I had to call the owner twice and he was great. He answered the first time, and immediately took care of anything asked. The property is great, and very family friendly. We enjoyed it.

Needed Getaway

The property was PERFECT! My family enjoyed every minute of it. They wouldn’t get out of the pool LOL. But really this property was one of the best we’ve stayed at on the island. Fantastic property steps from the beach

This is my second time staying at this property and I was very happy to see that it's been beautifully maintained since my last trip a couple of years ago. Everything was very clean, beds were comfy and the kitchen had all the things needed for cooking a meal or making drinks. The beach is a very quick walk so it's easy to make several trips a day without feeling inconvenienced whatsoever. My favorite part about this condo is the back deck and patio area where you can relax and have drinks or swim and suntan. Everyone in my party had an amazing time- we will be back!

Beautiful beaches, close to home, warm almost all year long...and eventually planning to retire to SPI.
It's walking distance to the beach, which my wife and I enjoy it very much. It is also very close to some good restaurants such as PadreRitaGrill and Blackbeards and to the local supermarket, the Blue Marlin.
