Great week

Enough room for 11 people. Well keep, nice location. Large kitchen and room for all to eat in comfort. Walking distance to beach. One draw back was one road in and out with some traffic during high travel days usually on weekend with people check-in to house. Nice and well keep pool and hot tub.

Great first experience renting in OBX!

This was our first time vacationing in OBX so we were a little nervous about this whole experience but let me tell you it was amazing! The photos do not do this house justice. It is even nicer in person! The house itself was very clean which was nice. We did not have to waste time cleaning anything when we arrived. The walk to the beach is very manageable even for someone like myself who has back problems. Half way through the week a very nice gentleman showed up and cleaned the pool and Jacuzzi for us which we thought was great. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home!

The home is spacious and clean with beds for all of us. There is about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach with easy access. Access to grocery stores both north and south. Plenty of souvenir shopping and we enjoyed the mini golf. The bay views and access were great as well.I would highly recommend this home. Exceptional space for relaxing in the pool and hot tub with activities nearby.

We didn’t check on the one on left till last day and it was easier to access than the right one! Air filters definitely need replaced as you can see/smell they are over due! The house had everything needed to cook! Few more hooks woulda been nice to hang towels up with so many people in the house. But over all, it was nice and relaxing!!!

The location was great - just a short walk to the ocean.Our complaint was that again, 2 years in a row, the ceiling on the lower level leaked during a rain storm. Also, the home wasn't clean. This time we were prepared - we brought our own cleaning supplies and took care of that. In their defense when I sent notice that the home wasn't clean, someone from housekeeping called and offered to come and clean. Wow, the spiders had a colony in the home! Yikes!!In spike of those things, we love Duck, North Carolina!

Enjoyable Place to Stay

The house was spacious and provided many of the "home away from home" necessities. We had a small issue with the pool circulator, but it was resolved without issue or inconvenience.The things where the home fell a little short was it could have had more substantial furniture on the decks and some form of shade by the pool (an umbrella or sunshade would have been greatly appreciated on some of the really hot days) and also some hooks or somewhere to hang wet towels and bathing suits. It also looked like there was space for small fridge in the sitting room off of the kitchen, but it was not there. It would have made that space FANTASTIC for preparing drinks from coffee to adult so much easier, and freed up space in the regular fridge for food.

The floorplan was probably the most clever design I've ever stayed in! The pool was clean. The house had most everything we needed which was a nice surprise. Examples beach wagon! Loved it!!! Another ex. Grill, charcoal, lighter fluid! All perks! Had some concerns about cleanliness. We had to wash all the mattress covers the day of arrival. They were dirty. Found some blood on a pillow but we had brought our own so didn't matter too much. Couldn't tell if it was a stain or new blood. A few of the comforters had blood spots on them. Surprised that linens should be a normal cleaning item. I realize this doesn't reflect the owners but the cleaning crew. Overall I would stay here again. Great house, great extras, great location, great price!

Had an issue with the hot tub and they sent someone right over to fix it. The Beach was amazing and ghost crabs 🦀 were so cool to watch. If it quite a walk though. The kitchen has everything you need, especially to cook the freshest seafood around. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to have a family getaway, plenty of room for everyone to have their own space too.

First Time Duck Vacation

The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. All the bedrooms were fine. Overall, the house was clean with two exceptions. The windowsills did not appear to ever get dusted, a bit disconcerting when you raise the shades & see dust and dead insects. The outside shower was in need of a good sweeping. There were some glitches, like no working outdoor lights in the pool area, but were resolved the day the report was made. We did not report this, but we could not get the tv working in the room by the dining area. The ice maker was slow in making ice so we used the trays that were there to make more. The refrigerator & freezer doors were missing shelves which meant less storage space. Lastly, the dishwasher often didn’t didn’t do a good job of cleaning.Overall, we enjoyed staying here, the house, the pool & the location made it a great first experience for us in Duck.

Outer Banks Vacay

Couldn't see the ocean at all but the sound was visible from the deck. Enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds. Lots of interior steps, three levels. Very well equipped kitchen and picnic table on the top deck outside the kitchen door. Very nice pool and hot tub. Although 51/2 baths, only one to share between two bedrooms serving six people. Place was very clean. Kudos to housekeeping for finding and turning in to office two Father's Day cards with gift cards in them. Office contacted me to have returned to me. Any small house repairs were handled quickly. Enjoyed our stay.

A home away from home!

The beach was close (literally just down the street), all the shopping and amenities in Duck were nearby, and the home had everything we could want. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub while we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. Thank you for thinking of everything - games, wine glasses, charcoal grill, and more! The Flip Flop Inn was a perfect location and home for our family vacation!

Unhappy customer

Reviewer Comments: upon arrival the first thing I found through the house was cob webs with spiders hanging in the corners off the rooms as well as the ceiling fans. The spindles leading to the living room had spider webs all over. If house keeping had just cleaned how they missed all of this is sloppy work. i shouldn't have to come in and clean before we unpack and start our vacation. We also found the sliding door leading to the pool had the locking mechanism broken off and laying on the floor. I called property management and they assured me someone was coming out to fix it and it never happened. I wasn't able to secure the door when we left the property or when we went to bed. that wasn't safe for my family and our possession. We also requested that the front be power washed, the doors and windows were covered with bugs as well as the deck and the railings and the furniture. I couldn't enjoy the deck because of dirty it was with the bugs. I couldn't let my grandchildren even play on the deck because of the bud debris and all the spiders and webs which were covering all the furniture and hanging down from the rafters and door frames. I called and reported this and again property management assured me it would be done on Sunday or Monday which that didn't happen. Finally the guy showed up on Thursday to clean the deck and i left on Saturday which meant we were able to use the deck 1 out of 7 days, to be treated like this was very unprofessional. im honestly not sure that i would use Beach Realty again. Thank you

Good price for size and layout, beware of spiders

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the size and layout of the property. The exterior of the house was not maintained. Spiders EVERYWHERE outside (falling on us while grilling) and inside the home on doors, ceilings, and windows. No wii or PS2 as described. Very convenient to beach and shopping/dining. A good power washing of the house could have made all the difference.
