Family Vacation July 2023

Great location to Coligny and an easy walk to the beach. Condo was well equipped with what 6 adults needed for the week. Comfy beds! Could use a few updates but, all in all, a nice place to rest and relax for a week in our favorite place!

Great family experience

The distance to the beach is a longer walk then expected. We had toddlers. I feel the beds need updated. They had a foam top that didn’t fit the bed or sheets. The condo was clean and comfortable and we loved the wildlife out back. We would stay again at this location. No issues with neighbors. It was a quiet location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures of this unit are very deceptive. The unit is not as big as it looks and needs some updating. The couches and carpeting on the steps are very dirty and need to be deep cleaned or replaced and the kitchen needs some major updates. The bedrooms have been basically updated and the beds are very comfortable but the bathrooms need some help. We have been vacationing on Hilton Head in different areas for over 45 years and this unit is not a 4 or 5 star unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was not the best. The ac went out in the middle of the night on our first night there. I did call the next morning. They sent someone out to repair it. It was back up by 5pm. Monday thru Thursday we got woke up every morning around 8am due to repairs being done on the condo beside of us.

On arrival the house smelled musty and moldy. In fact, two people who are allergy prone suffered from the moldy smell. The second floor bathroom tub/shower faucet was difficult to use. The back deck had a patio table and four chairs, two of which were completely rusted and unusable. The top sheet on the second floor king bed didn't even drop to the side...too narrow. The kitchen was in desparate need of a major update. I think the property description is very deceptive. Overall, very disappointed with the condition of the villa.

Very nice and great location

The doors for the washer and dryer were not working well at all. The deck was splinterting and needs work.Besides those small issues we really liked the house and it was decorated very nicely. The kitchen was stocked with alot of dishes and tools etc. The 3rd floor bedroom was so nice, we slept there and it was very roomy and felt like an island getaway up there!

Not my favorite

Upon arrival we notice can under the tv and the closer you look it just does t feel clean. Third floor bedroom is warm all the time and ceiling fan squeaks loudly . With kids there is always laundry and laundry he dryer wouldn’t turn on for anything so disappointing. Next time I’ll make sure to read reviews

Great Location, Poor Experience

Upon arriving to the property Sunday, we had to clean as if we were the cleaning crew. Dirt and dust were everywhere, the sheets and towels had dirt spots and hair on them, kitchen and refrigerator had to be cleaned, the balconies were full of dirt including some reside on the table, bathrooms had not been cleaned, and there was fresh urine on one of the toilet seats. On Monday, not one but two realtors showed up to show the property unannounced and just walked right in because the owners had not notified them of our stay and on Thursday pest control showed up at 8:00 in the morning unannounced ringing the doorbell and banging on the door and then again just win before someone could get to the door. In addition some of the neighbors were rude and possessive of parking although the rental company clearly stated there was no assigned parking. The saving grace was the property managers were very accommodating and refunded our cleaning fee and two days of our stay. We will visit the area again and even use this rental company, but we will not stay in this neighborhood again.

Nicely decorated

Let me preface that we booked this place about 2.5 weeks before our travel date so we were thrilled with this condo with that context. Pros: Beautifully decorated. Nice touches. Comfy beds. Overall suited our needs. Cons: this unit is the very back of this complex. Your walk to the beach is easily double the time from units in the front. We weren't a fan of the layout. No bathroom on the 1st floor was a terrible idea by developer. The lagoon concept is pretty and peaceful but almost felt dirty and was a mosquito haven. The pools do not get sun. Overall just average accommodations. Nothing outstanding.

Nice layout. But worn out and smells.

Nice layout and location. However the place is worn out and smells like old furniture combined with a musty smell. Even after opening the windows and spraying febreze the smell was always waiting to greet you when you got back. The throw rugs were stained and dirty. Might as well not have them at all. We still had a great time, but if you have anybody that is picky about a worn out smelly place, then it’s a problem. There is a pull out couch but I wouldn’t sleep on it. They can fix the problem with A new couch and living room chairs (or at least replace the cushions...the chair cushions look like they are 20 years old) would go a long way, plus get rid of the throw rug in the living room and kitchen. Maybe a fresh coat of paint and a deep scrub will get the place to where it needs to be. Also... get rid of carpet in the twin bed bedroom. It’s dirty. It’s hard to keep carpets and rugs clean when people are coming in from the beach etc, so get rid of the carpet and rugs! Go laminate or tile.

Cozy stay but quite a walk to the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6, including my parents, had a nice stay in this villa. It was challenging at first with so many stairs but we all got used to it pretty quickly. Not having a bathroom on the main floor was not ideal. We loved having the use of a grill and a deck which is why we chose this spot over others. The walk to the beach was very far for my elderly parents but having a private bathroom over there was fantastic. We purchased a beach cart and I’d highly recommend you do the same if staying here. It is too far to walk to get the Coligny Park but there was always parking there. Rent bikes to get around as Hilton Head is so accessible for biking and walking with sidewalks and bike lanes everywhere, The condo itself has worn furniture and a very small, dated kitchen, but it was comfortable and clean with enough seating for the 6 of us. The bed on the third floor was very soft but lumpy. All was good in the other two bedrooms. Be sure to take toiletries as the description was accurate, only starter items, The kitchen had everything we needed.

Great Week On Hilton Head

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in was easy and convenient, no worries there. The property was a bit worn in spots, well used furniture but very functional. Air conditioning worked perfectly, all of the other amenities were in place and functional. Location of the unit is one of the furthest in the complex from the beach access, but still a great location. Generally the property was clean upon arrival. As with all of the condos in Seascape they are popular and used hard, so it isn't unexpected that there are some areas of the unit that may be under the standards of some more discriminating renters, but this unit served us quite well and we were glad to have the opportunity to rent. I would recommend this unit to a friend as stated with limitations related to location in the complex, and the overall worn condition of some of the furnishings. All in all, another great visit to Hilton Head!
