Our property sits just 7.5 miles from Starved Rock State Park making us a quick 10 minute drive away.

Aahhh, Pines cabin. What can we say? This is our #1 requested couples cabin on site. It is especially loved for its seclusion and makes for the perfect romantic cabin getaway near Chicago. This is our only cabin with two covered porches, one on the front with a porch swing and a small covered porch on the back of the cabin.

All of our Illinois cabins have central heating & air, personal outdoor bonfire pit, picnic table and charcoal grill. All linens & towels are provided.

Guests of Kishauwau Cabins enjoy the peaceful atmosphere we offer. Our Pines cabin offers a studio atmosphere with only the bathroom walled off separately. The bathroom has a huge, double sized whirlpool tub for 2 adults as well as separate shower. Each cabin offers a full kitchen, central heating & air, covered porch with porch swing and personal outdoor bonfire pit with picnic table & grill.

The space
Individual cabins on a family run property. My husband and I live right on site. Our office building is left open to guests 24/7 so you can borrow movies, games, puzzles & reading material. You also purchase firewood, pizzas, drinks, s'mores items as well as other things on the honor system. Although we have family cabins here, our property is very quiet for that peaceful, romantic getaway you are looking for. Just a 10 minute drive from Starved Rock & Matthiessen State Parks and a 20 minute drive to next bigger towns with fabulous restaurants & shopping.
