Great host, condo & location

Condo is more spacious than it originally appeared and the location is also very good. Viktor was an excellent host and good person. Highly recommend

Very nice and big appartement

It's a very big appartement in the city center of Budapest. The location is perfect. Lot's of bars and restaurants on walking distance. The metro station is around the corner. But you don't even need it. You can see the city by foot from this appartement. It was very clean and whe where helped very kindly. Thanks again!

Spacious and centrally located

A large property with everything nearby. It had plenty of character and all amenitiies one would require. As with many older places in Budapest, some areas such as the window sills are wearing away and the entrance of the building to the elevator is not at all impressive, but this was made up for with the apartment itself. It did get a fair bit of street noise a couple of times a week but they are double closing windows, so you could block most of it out, and it wasn't every night. Viktor was a wonderful host, answered questions promptly, provided an excellent briefing of the apartment and what was available around the area, plus a map. He also booked a taxi for us upon checkout. I would recommend a stay at this apartment.

Fantastic!

A great apartment! Spacious and well-appointed in a circa 1915 building, in a nice neighborhood in a central location, this is one of the best vacation-rental apartments we have ever rented. Three large rooms, comfortably furnished; a fully-equipped kitchen, plus a balcony, washer and dryer, and elevator to the apartment's floor--everything one could reasonably want. Check-in was a breeze. Victor Erdos was a great manager, very responsive and attentive. We also hired him for a half-day personal tour of Budapest, and was delighted with his knowledgable and entertaining narration. From San Francisco, Californian, we're experienced European travelers, and after our 9-day stay there, are convinced one couldn't find a better place for such a reasonable price. Totally thumbs up!

Location and Interior of the apartment just perfect

Rented this apartment in mid October. The entrance on the ground level was a bit shocking we weren’t sure if the taxi dropped us off at the right place I buzzed the apartment, texted Viktor again and waited for 10 mins before he came down - the door bell was not working！luckily the elevator was working - it is on the 3rd floor. Though there are several rooms to go thru before u get to the bedroom after a couple of nights one can easily manage the place. There are working shutters so you can have total darkness in the apartment. Most nights are quiet except when the club down the street was opened-very late and u can hear the thumping music - do advice to have ear plugs. The location is perfect walking distance to most sights except Buda. We signed up for the 48 hours hop on/off so we can manage to take in all the sightseeing. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Viktor for all your help!

Really nice place

We spent a great time in Budapest. We enjoyed the apartment, where we felt at home, which is important to us (elderly couple - 72). The apartment is nicely decorated and is functioning perfectly. Victor met us, when we arrived and told us everything necessary. He had arranged transport for us from and to the airport. When we left, we were picked up by the driver at 5.00 in the morning. Not 1 minut past. Perfect. Victor took us on a historic walking excursion in town. Very good.

Perfectly Relaxing and Romantic!

What an amazing apartment! The entire experience was exactly as described in the listing, right down to the photographs showing exactly what the apartment was like. First, Viktor communicated so well with us in planning for our trip. We were new to traveling in Budapest, so his warm welcome and encouragement helped us so much- right down to showing us where to park and helping us understand the currency and how to get tickets to the show at the castle we wanted to see! And did you know that Viktor can give you a tour of the city if you need him to? And the apartment! Let me tell you, you cannot go wrong here! The interior design is so romantic and fun! And the owner thought of everything! We had a complete kitchen which allowed us to cook wonderful meals during the week. And when I needed help on some of those Hungarian recipes I wanted to try, there were all sorts of cookbooks and books on Hungarian culture in the apartment to help me! The balcony off the kitchen should be mentioned more in the listing—we spent so much time out there on the summer evenings, enjoying the cool breeze and watching the bustle in the streets. It also made for cozy mornings, curling up with a hot coffee and watching the sun come up over the buildings. I loved the view of the rooftop terraces, ruin bars and apartment courtyards. This city is so fun to watch! And the location – we could walk ANYWHERE in no time, and there are shops, salons, restaurants, groceries, historical sites, and taverns right on the same corner—no having to hunt places down at all! Don’t be worried about having enough room in this apartment. My husband and I felt so blessed to have room to move about and have separate spaces in the apartment when we needed to let the other sleep or have time to read or relax. My grown son came to visit for a few days and we were able to close French doors between some of the rooms to create a space for us and a space for him. The bath and toilet rooms in the apartment were so beautifully arranged and decorated. Taking showers and baths were a luxury after a day of site-seeing or a night of dinner and a show. And the bed is so comfortable! Waking up to those gorgeous tall windows and a view of the stone architecture across the street makes you feel so immersed in the city of Budapest. You’ll never want to leave! Thank you, Viktor, for such a beautiful experience! We hope everyone who stays enjoys it as much as we did!

Better than perfect

The glowing reviews are correct! This apartment is perfect in every way. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, spacious, well-equipped, perfectly located. Several grocery stores a block or so away. A bank with ATM across the street. Three split-system air conditioning units, and double windows all around to keep the space quiet when needed. Washer and dryer (& a couple of drying racks). A brilliant and inexpensive restaurant directly across the street, and many others nearby. A 15 minute walk or a $5 taxi ride will get you almost anywhere you want to go, with underground and buses and trams nearby as well. What's not to like. Viktor's apartment really is wonderful.

Salve, ho soggiornato in questo appartamento la prima settimana di agosto in 5 persone. La casa è molto bella, curata nei minimi dettagli e il proprietario è molto disponibile e lascia la casa provvista di tutto il necessario. Beautiful appartment in centre of Budapest

Large and clean appartment. Coffee, tea etc available. Very friendly owner. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets around the corner. 15min walk from the Governmentsbuding at the Donau. This stay will be followed by a comeback for sure.

Beautiful apartment with terrace view of Parliamen

We had booked an apartment near the Opera, but it was damaged just before we arrived. Instead, Viktor founds us a different one on Castle Hill. Although it involved a fair bit of up-hill walking, we couldn't have been more pleased. It was large, clean, well-decorated, and had a terrace with a gorgeous view of the Parliament Buildings across the Danube. Viktor was great. We took advantage of all of his restaurant recommendations. He arranged an airport transfer for us, and met us on departure to make sure everything went according to plan. Although we didn't see the original apartment, if it was anything like the one we stayed in I'm sure it was beautiful, and we'd highly recommend others to use Viktor for a stay in this wonderful city.

I was a great experience!!

Defininetly is a great place to stay...Viktor was an oustanding host, he was waiting for my arrival even after my flight got delayed. When I arrived I found a good bottle of hungarian wine, fresh bread, salame and olives (as requested in advance). The apartment has all the comforts and quality ítems you might need. I surely recommend it for couples or business people who do not want to go to a hotel. Plenty of space and privacy AC, furniture, laundry are great. I will surely return.

Beautiful apartment in the city!

We spended altogether 2 weeks in Budapest and this apartment was perfect. The interior was well selected. From the apartment it is close to the subway and to the busses that means it is not really necessary to have a car. On the first day Viktor Erdos from the apartment explained us some important thing about Budapest and the home. Thank you Viktor! In the home everything what you need for the daily living, you will find. The pictures from the house give you a good impression! If we come back to Budapest, we will be for sure stay again in this apartment: 5 Stars! Thank you very much for this pleasant stay in Budapest Andi and Chris from Germany

Great taste in decoration & ideal location

A group of three travelled to Budapest and stayed at this wonderful apartment at the end of October. I was surprised to see such a classy decoration and fully functional place in the heart of the city. It's true that this apartment made our stay even more enjoyable. Henriett, our host, picked us up and being experienced she made a quick and smooth check-in with a very warm welcome with wine. This property is fully furnished and equipped. There is everything in the kitchen even for the most demanding cooks. Neighborhood: you are only few steps away from many sites, like the opera, the cathedral, the elegant Andrassy avenue, the photography museum etc, as well as next to lots of restaurants, cafeterias and bars. I certainly recommend this place and when I revisit Budapest it will be my first accommodation option!

An Atmospheric Place

Don’t be put off by the building entrance: the building is quite old but the apartment is so beautifully renovated. This place is just lovely. It is stylishly furnished, comfortable, and spacious. It has large bay windows and high ceilings that make you feel at ease staying inside on a cold rainy day. The furniture is well laid out, neither encumbering nor sparse, further adding a cozy charm. The walls are adorned with nice paintings and wood flooring covers the flat. The apartment is also furnished with all the conveniences for a modern style living. In particular, the kitchen is well-equipped and the kitchenware was immaculately clean. The location is central and close to various attractions. Although the street pulsates with the young crowd on weekend nights, it is relatively quiet for a city dwelling for most of the week. Viktor is helpful in case you need any information or concert tickets, and the owner Henriett is very welcoming.

What a beautiful apartment in a Beautiful city!

The apartment was stunning! You get what you see on the pictures and what is written in the resumé. The kitchen was really fully equipped and stocked, so you don't need to go down to the shop for any basic necessities like in many other places. It's a bonus that the host, Viktor is a trained guide. He is very helpful and knows basically everything you need to know on a holiday in Budapest. For advice or when in trouble he is contactable. It is worth taking a short guided tour with him on your first day! Thanks Viktor!

Amazing apartment in heart of city.

Viktor met us on arrival early evening to show us round apartment and have to say we were blown away by the apartment. It is so big and bright and extremely well designed throughout. Location is also perfect so much so that we could walk with ease to all Attractions Budapest has to offer. Many good bars and restaurants are in the immediate area but you can walk in all directions from the apartment and always come across interesting places. We were there for 11 nights but could easily have stayed longer as it was such a relaxed and comfortable environment. Viktor was a great host and was extremely helpful when we left our bag with all our money, passports etc in airport taxi. Due to him we had it returned to us within the hour!! We can't recommend Varga Apartment highly enough and we will definitely return in the future.

Spacious, Unique and Comfortable

This is not your typical vacation rental...it's much more stylish and its very large for a one bedroom apartment. Bed and furniture are all very comfy. There are a lot of restaurants, bars, shops and pubs in the immediate area.......very convenient and fun (though not extremely quiet). Viktor is an awesome host...He cares about the people that stay there and is a wealth of knowledge and great suggestions. The building itself is old and is in need of work but it functions well (including the elevator which was flawless).....the apartment itself is a gem though. I enjoyed my stay and would return

Large apartment with great location

The apartment exceeded expectation both in terms of location-central with easy walks to most places of interest- as well as decore, size, cleanliness and extreme helpfulness of the manager Viktor who suggested a good close by Hungarian restaurant "Lugas" and acted as a guide for one afternoon. Over the years we have rented many apartments in various cities, this was the best prepared and stocked with basics including coffee, spices, and local beer and wine. We would highly recommend the apartment.
