Fish, crab, shrimp or just watch dolphins swim or pelicans fly, from your patio, boat, or the private dock. Trail your own boat or rent one and tie to the dock. Close to a public boat ramp. Parking is off road and plenty of room for vehicles and boat trailer. If you arrive in an RV, parking for it too, Located 2 miles from Thunderbolt, 10 minutes to downtown Savannah and about the same to Tybee Island's beautiful ocean beach. This property offers something for everyone. My family and I had the most wonderful stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and warm, and the house and property were beautiful and very nice. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The house is amazing and spacious, the property is unbelievable, the hosts that live next door are awesome, and the location couldn’t be better to experience both Savannah and Tybee. My dog, Elvis, also had a ball playing with the neighborhood dogs. I will definitely stay here again. I am very grateful for this experience.

We ended up in this home unexpectedly due to a scheduling error with another host (which VRBO handled well, by the way), and we are so glad that we did. We arrived expecting a simple weekend getaway for Labor Day and left with some wonderful new friends! The homeowners, Mr. Bill and Ms. Emma live right next-door and are an absolute delight. They made us feel so at home, loved on our doggies, and just made the overall experience so nice for us. The home feels more spacious than the photos suggest, and we really like the layout. Our dogs were so happy running around the spacious yard! And our teenage boys really enjoyed themselves fishing right off the dock in the backyard. The location of this home was perfect for what we were looking for. Away from the hustle and bustle, but close to downtown Savannah and also to Tybee. It really is the perfect coastal getaway, and if you’re lucky enough to book it, don’t hesitate!

We had a great time in Savannah. This home is located in the middle between historic Savannah and Tybee Island so it was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and using the crab traps. Hosts were very inviting and we had plenty of room for our dogs to run. Home has plenty of privacy on the 1.5 acres.

Bill and Emma (and Shotsie) greeted us with such hospitality. Perfect location to explore the Savannah area. Beautiful and relaxing setting with water access. Enjoyed the fire pit and the view. Bill even let us use one of his crab pots. Maybe next time we’ll catch some!

We had an amazing stay with William and Emma and their dog Shotgun. The house is beautiful and well kept and is convenient for Savannah. We tried to fish but it was too cold but we did see some Dolphins! Overall I would definitely recommend.

Mr Bill was an excellent host! Always available by phone and very accommodating! Will definitely be staying again! Great fishing from the dock and was able to bring my 24' boat for docking. Richardson Creek is large and deep enough to access from the major waterways in the area, also loaded with reds and trout if you fish from the property's dock.

Perfect spot

Great house on deep water and beautiful river and marsh views. Minutes from downtown or the beach. A much better alternative than staying in town. We will certainly stay here again!

Perfect Weekend On The Marsh

We had the best time here! The owners are so kind and very friendly. Our daughter and dog loved the dock. The views are great, neighborhood is safe, and the house is so beautiful. The house was outstanding! Bill and Emma are great hosts. We unfortunately had a family issue and had to cut our trip short, but we will be back with the boat. The location is perfect, it is so peaceful and the house has plenty of space for all of us. Spending time on the dock is a very peaceful place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

As a long time, and current resident of this coastal neighborhood I have fished the waters inshore and offshore for over 40 yrs. Savannah history and culture, captured me as a young man . I enjoy all Savannah offers and get great pleasure seeing people enjoy the experience. The cottage built in 1941, is among the 1st in this neighborhood which was originally a fishing camp community. This is a Vacation property for people who enjoy fishing, the sights, sounds, history and wildlife activity. of the coast.

Wake up each morning to the spectacular river and marsh. Watching boats go by, fisherman heading out, or coming back. People fishing from their docks,crabbing, or casting for shrimp. The property is just minutes from Historic Savannah, National Parks Tybee Island's ocean beach. Historic sites, fine golf courses, tennis, and many other sites of interest.

This is a 1 1/2 acre private, wooded property, yet close to restaurants, shopping, downtown Historic Savannah and ocean beaches . Quiet and very little traffic.. I call it " COUNTRY IN THE CITY"
