Started by realizing at 2pm there were still no check in codes, although check in was supposed to be at 4pm. Sent message. Waited, killed some time, sent second message at 5:30, waited, finally owner answered around 6pm, which was 2 hours AFTER we were supposed to be able to check in.
Woke up the next morning and we had no water. Contacted owner through Vrbo messaging at 9am, no response. Texted at 10am, no response. Called the number listed for emergencies, got a voicemail that said to text for faster service. I left a voicemail AND texted, but no response. Finally about 7pm the owner called to let me know the water was working again, and told me it was not his fault, that there was a water main break at the building. His fault or not, a response sooner than 8 hours after calling and texting and messaging would have been nice!!
As for the condo….ewww. Totally outdated. Cheapest and oldest most uncomfortable beds ever. Washer and dryer sound like a train wreck. Shower in the master bedroom doesn’t work, no hot water, knob just flops around. Carpet in living room has a huge wrinkle, watch your step, I tripped over it in the middle of the night. Door knob on the front door has too big screws sticking out of the side and feels like it’s ready to fall off. TVs in bedrooms are smaller than my computer monitor. Hot tub and pool looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a week, and the hot tub wasn’t any warmer than the pool.
Complex looks nice from the outside, and the condo is a decent size. However it hasn’t been updated in several decades, and the beds are so bad we couldn’t get comfortable at all.
Such a mistake to try and save a few bucks by staying here instead of the place we usually stay!!
