The hosts’ TLC for this property is quickly evident from the lovely decor and vintage accessories. Though we didn’t have the opportunity to use the yard, the outdoor grill and picnic table are nice amenities. Similarly, the home is well-stocked with anything a traveler might need.

This is a very clean and well maintained home! Shopping close by, grocery stores close as well! Host was great with communication! Lots of games and puzzles to do, Chargers in every room, and beds are super comfortable!! Highly recommend for your trip to the Tacoma area!

This place is simply spectacular. From the exceptionally well-stocked kitchen to the tasteful decor, large dining room table, and musical instruments, it was beyond perfect for my stay. We had guests in for a small afternoon "celebration of life" for my recently departed musician mother; the vibes were so warm, comforting and comfortable -- completely appropriate.

This was the perfect place to spend our vacation in the SeaTac area. Felt like the perfect home away from home! We enjoyed the instruments, games, and even the Bluetooth speaker and those small touches made it feel even more like a home, not just a house. Thank you, Cathy!

Cathy was very responsive to any concerns we had. The house was great and met our needs - excellent air conditioning was greatly appreciated. The back yard was perfect for grilling and visiting in the early mornings and evenings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect Intro to Pacific NW Life!

Our kids and grandkids made their first ever trip to Washington from Indiana and Cathy’s Craftsman was perfect!! It is close to everything - has a nice park up the block and most importantly it feels just like home!! Do not hesitate to book this lovely craftsman - it is amazing!

Best house stay we have ever had

This home was extremely well set up and had everything we needed. The small touches count: fresh coffee, condiments in the fridge, some basics in the cupboard, internet that worked well, and easy check-in. On top of that, the house was warm and inviting, the rooms were on point, and there were lots of clean towels, etc. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The kitchen was supplied with all sorts of wonderful appliances and cooking tools. It was anxious to open the drawers and see what was there. You couldn't ask for a cleaner home. And then there were all the little finishing touches like a basket of toiletries on the bedside table of each bed, numerous bundles of charging cords typed neatly together for various USB styles, coasters on each bedside table, etc. Cathy seems to have thought of most everything... And she's incredibly responsive to messages --- I think in no more than 15 minutes each time I wrote. Last but definitely, not least, it is the aesthetic that she's brought to this home. Wonderful prints on the walls throughout, and the furniture and floor coverings that fit so perfectly with the period when the house was built. Can you tell? I'd love to live in this house! I totally recommend it. You'll be in for a treat.

I love the Northwest lifestyle and spend a lot of time outdoors fishing, snowshoeing, hiking and gardening, but my real passion is restoring old Craftsman homes. I’ve owned and restored 14 of them over the years, but the Cushman house is definitely my favorite. I’ve restored everything from the original wood windows and clawfoot tub to the plaster walls, and I feel like the house is a cherished member of my family. Over the last 20 years I have worked to bring the house back to its original glory, furnishing and decorating it in true period style, and now I want to share it with the world.
Hosting guests here has been a very gratifying experience, I enjoy providing guests with a comfortable and unique stay, and hope that they can come to appreciate the house as much as I do.
