We had issues with the water supply but maintenance was dispatched promptly each time we had no water and was able to get it back on. Layout is great, kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable.

Great getaway overlooking Ocotal bay

The property was well maintained and is in a quiet location in the upper part of the mountainside and has a great view of the bay and a fantastic pool. All of the 5 bedrooms have their own bath and privacy.

Amazing home with outstanding views

A group of childhood friends with our families enjoyed our stay at this home. The rooms are much bigger than they appear in the photos. The kitchen was well equiped. The pool is AMAZING and definitely this high point of this home. The road to the home is very steep and twisted - make sure you have the right 4x4. Ocotal Beach was just 10 minutes drive and was beautiful. House had some minor quirks, but nothing to be worried about. We had a lovely stay!

Excellent Experience

We loved the property and its amazing view. The grounds were well managed and the house was spotless upon arrival. The property management team was welcoming and attentive The house was located on a narrow windy road high on a hill; which provided a great view but it did take 10-15 minutes to get to the local area/beaches of Coco beach. The house itself had spacious rooms, beach gear, a well stocked kitchen and a not so great washer and dryer. The only issue was with the room layout. The rooms do not all connect to the common areas; instead they each have doors to the outside. This made it hard for sleeping arrangements with kids. With that said, we would go back with couples and leave our kids at home

Amazing Stay in Ocotal!

So, we rented this 5-bedroom house as well as the 4-bedroom house down the hill for a family reunion of 17 people. Yes, that is a whole lot of people to coordinate! This home housed 10 adults and we all had plenty of room and privacy. This house is perfectly configured - every couple had their own bathroom, the common area was spacious and comfortable, and the views were absolutely amazing!! The infinity pool, spa, and outdoor, upper-level bar were a hit - providing lots of different places for family members to hang out. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious and provided the perfect place to gather for snack while the cooks in the family prepared meals. The large picture windows provided amazing views from inside the living and dining room, and the view from the pool was to die for!! On top of ALL this, the Zindis team was the absolute best. They were responsive, helpful, and caring throughout our stay. In particular, Bryan helped us negotiate great excursions - he helped the entire group of 17 with zip lining, horseback, and hot spring adventures, he negotiated a very luxurious boat for 12 of us to go fishing, and he helped get two of our guests to San Jose safely. All of these complicated logistics meant that I kept bothering Bryan, but he was so kind and generous with his time. This house PLUS Zindis made our family reunion so special. Thank you!!!

We just returned from 8 nights at Villa Allamanda from June 4 - June 12, 2025. The house is as beautiful in person as the gorgeous pictures online. The view is spectacular, and we got up at sunrise every morning to watch for wildlife and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and made us feel like we had our own private resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed so we could cook breakfast each morning and the occasional lunch or dinner. Playa Ocotal was the closest beach at only a 5 minute drive down the hill and very easy to get to from the house. The sand is mostly black with some tan mixed in, and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We snorkeled most days by the rocks on both sides of the beach and saw a huge variety of colorful fish, so bring your gear if you like to snorkel. There are foldable lawn chairs (not reclining), a cooler and a few sand toys at the house. There are 2 blue foam pool floats that you can lay on in the pool but no noodles or inflatable tubes, so you might consider bringing some or buying them nearby in Coco. There are plenty of every type of towel. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and a hair dryer. Showers are hot with great water pressure. A few of the beds are very firm. The road to the house is very steep, curvy, & narrow, so small 4WD SUV is best to rent. Lissa with Zindis was wonderful and so helpful. Ready to return! Pura Vida!

The view from the house was extraordinarily spectacular! Our family of 14 - ages 4 - 75 - had such a great time enjoying the beautiful pool, the hot tub, and the outdoor living space. Watching the sun set was lovely while hearing the howler monkeys in the distance. The rooms were spacious and the living space was perfect for our family. We experienced no water issues (note that the water is not hot like we are used to in the US though.). The home is a relatively short drive to Playa de Coco which had grocery stores and restaurants as well as other beautiful beaches nearby. It was very helpful to have a 4 wheel drive. Our real estate group, Zindis, was exceptional. If we had any issues they were immediately proactive. They were also extremely helpful before we came sharing great info about tour opportunities and helping us book a chef for dinner one night (I highly recommend the latter.).

The view is incredible! The infinity pool was amazing. The hosts and house managers were very nice and accomodating. There was a lot of space. This property is a little out dated. We had no hot water while we were there even though we had the maintenance out twice. There were drainage issues including the tubs not draining and the toilets not flushing well. The drain hose came off the washer while we were using it causing a small flood that we cleaned up. Overall a beautiful house, but in need of some upgrades and maybe a new hot water heater.
