Why Bonnie Jacobs chose Duck Creek Village

“We chose to purchase this area for our vacation home because number one the unspoiled beauty of the area was captivating and second, the views from our cabin are breathtaking. The 100’s of miles of ATV trails and the close proximity of the National Parks was also a consideration. Having paved roads that allow for year round access makes it a bonus.”

Perfect house, great location for a week among the parks

  • 5 of 5

This house was all we had expected and more, and certainly a great value. Fantastic accommodations which lacked nothing, and breathtaking views , especially at sunset. We were a group of three couples and, for us, there was plenty room and the beds, linens, etc. were very comfortable. We used all three levels , but easily could have accommodated another adult couple , or some kids !! Also a western facing deck, gas grill, and outdoor area with fire pit, although it was just a bit too cold when we were there to take advantage of it. House is in a great location, within an hour's drive of Bryce, Cedar Breaks, and Zion. A bit more driving...to Kodachrome State Park (a hidden jewel !!) and Capitol Reef. And for sure, don't leave the area without driving Rt. 12, through the Grand Staircase - Escalante ( Bryce to Torrey ), one of the most scenic drives ever! We went on hikes/excursions each day but always wanted to get back to the house in time for sunset!

very good

  • 5 of 5

Excellent property - worked very well for our group of 7 adults. Spacious, well located in terms of driving distance with respect to major attractions and some quirky little local towns, lovely views from the expansive windows, very well maintained.

One simple and inexpensive potential improvement - given the location and our interests we did lots of large group cooking so a couple of very large cast iron and/or ceramic casserole bowls & one very large fry pan for casserole bases would have been great additions. Those simple additions would have rounded it out perfectly.

Overall, highly recommended.

Book this house

  • 5 of 5

You will not be disappointed in booking this beautiful home. It was a perfect stay for our group of four adults and three kids. The views were breathtaking - sunset, moonrise and sunrise were all beautiful on the porch. The home is well appointed, clean and had everything we needed in its well-stocked kitchen! It's a great place to stay while seeing the best of southern Utah. We spent most of our days at Zion and Bryce, which were easy rides from the home. The owners were responsive and provided some great materials about the area that were so helpful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Simply AWESOME!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week at the Ridge Top Home. The location was central for visits to Bryce Canyon, Zion, Lake Powell, Cedar Breaks and many other lakes, parks and national forests. The house was beautiful, clean and well kept. It came with all the basics including toiletries, towels, kitchen supplies, spices and a cooler for day trips. The view was just breathtaking. We enjoyed mornings and evenings sitting on the deck watching the wildlife and sun over the spectacular view of the mountains I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Southern Utah.

Conflicted

  • 3 of 5

Although the location was ideal and the house beautiful and perfect for our families, we had several issues during our stay. For one, the air conditioner didn't work until the last two days of our stay and it was July! It was 80-85 in the house during the days we were there. Fans were given to us to help cool it in the evenings. We took into consideration that it was over the 4th, however, the folks who stayed before us also had difficulty with the air and it wasn't addressed before we came. Secondly, there were several wear and tear issues with the house. The dishwasher bottom rack was completely broken, the washer door was difficult to shut, there was a hole in the room upstairs, the downstairs shower did not drain and the boys showered with an inch of filth in the bottom, and the downstairs bathroom door did not shut for privacy. So, with that being said, I would recommend this place only after the owners addressed these issues.

Again, the view was to die for and the house beautiful. It is in a perfect location to visit The national parks and then come back to the home to find peace and comfort.
