Deceptive and disappointing

Booked online. Spoke to owner and when I was traveling to the location was told it got rented to someone else. Had to book at a hotel that charged extortion rates as I had no other options.

Efficient and Clean Room

This was a room in a house with other renters. The place was clean however the booking process was strange. The name on the VRBO listing did not match the name on the person who kept contacting me outside of VRBO and I wasn’t sure if this was a scam or not and made me uneasy. It wasn’t a scam but didn’t make me feel secure. This is a room rental with other rooms being rented out. You can lock yourself in your room while there, but they do not provide a key for you to lock your items inside the room while you are away- therefore I felt compelled to take my items with me each day which is a little cumbersome and not relaxing. Overall, it was a place to stay and that is all. No frills, nothing extra to make you say “wow.” It worked for what I needed at the last minute even if it was a strange and uncomfortable experience.
