Oceanfront /Spectacular Views/"OCEAN BEACH "

'Ocean Beach' resides at 21 Silversides Trail directly across the street from the beach on a cul-de-sac. WHAT A VIEW! We are midway down the South Beach, near the Maritime Market, fire station, boutique shops and almost exactly between The Bald Head Island Club and The Shoals Club.

Our new home got a thorough going-over and is redecorated, repainted, and rebranded in the owners style. Our luxurious new bedding is sure to please everyone. There are two master bedrooms, all four bedrooms have king beds with a twin in the upstairs master. Each bedroom has new 32' flat screen TVs.

Please remember to make reservations with the Bald Head Island Ferry to arrive and depart. Your ferry ticket also provides you with tram service but is not automatically added to tickets. Tram reservations require a distinct booking from the ferry to 21 Silversides Trail. Arrival may not be before 4 PM and Departure must be by 10 AM on the day of Departure.

Guests wishing optional Temporary Guest Memberships at The Bald Head Island Club and or The Shoals Club should contact them immediately upon booking our home. This is done by visiting their respective websites and following instructions for Guest Membership, there is an extra fee for each Club. The host has no responsibility in the Guest Membership quest other than assuring The Club(s) we are hosting a particular guest.

All linens and towels are provided. We have wireless high speed internet service.

The view from the upper deck is just spectacular and allows us to see from the Cape Fear River to Frying Pan Shoals. Dolphins are frequent visitors to 'our' beach and are easily seen from all 3 porches.

In the garage you will find a 4 passenger and a 6 passenger golf cart. You MUST be a licensed driver to operate the golf carts on Bald Head Island. The shaded protected area that is the entry to our home, also serves as a place to escape the sun in one of the hammock. There is a sandy play area under the house for those little ones who have grown tired of our sun drenched beaches and a hot outside shower to get rid of the sand.

The Maritime Market is quite amazing considering they must bring everything to the Island on a barge. The selections are extremely good and the service is excellent.

Wonderful house on the beach. Well stocked with all you need - and I cooked 3 meals a day for our large crowd. Lovely porches/decks when you want to feel ocean breezes and see the waves but need a break from the sand. Close to everything. We will be back!

I cannot say enough about this place and the owner! It was the best family vacation we’ve had in a long, long time! Hugh was so wonderful to work with. The house is STOCKED with everything you could ever need! Everything was clean and just as described. This house is truly a case where it’s even BETTER than the pictures… plus you can’t beat the view! We’ll be back!

Perfect location and perfect views!!

This was the most well stocked house we have stayed in. You felt like you were staying at a friend’s house. Everything you could need was available in the kitchen, plenty of towels for shower and beach, beach toys, chairs etc. The house was directly off the beach- just a short walk to the access walkway and a straight shot to the market as well. The view from the top balcony was enjoyed by everyone each morning. Hugh was super responsive for a few minor issues we had. Will stay here again!

Incredible stay

This was our third year at this house. It remains the best house we have ever stayed at. The attention to detail is incredible. New floors, ovens and furniture make the house fresh and current. Hugh is so responsive and helpful - it actually feels like staying at a friends house. Can’t say enough good things about it!

Love Bald Head Island

Great location, decks are amazing, Bald Head is really fun. House fully stocked with items for cooking and eating-multiple sets of dishes and utensils. Good layout with the bedrooms-each one has its own bathroom. Super nice hosts.

I just want to say Thank You to Hugh for facilitating our stay at this beautiful house and property. The location is a very short walk to the beach and very convenient to BHI Club, the Market, and the Shoals Club. The appointments in the kitchen were the best we've experienced, and in every way the home exceeded our expectations!

Love this house!

Repeat visit! 5 stars all around. Ocean Beach is a beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean and well stocked home ideally located on BHI’s South Beach. Owners are super thoughtful and just lovely people. You will have a wonderful time here!

Wonderful home!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is nicely decorated, comfortable and very well-equipped for cooking and relaxing. The upper deck is the perfect place to view the sunset and the screened porch off the main bedroom is the perfect morning coffee spot. We enjoyed the ocean views and the very close beach access. The owners were very informative and responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely stay at Ocean Beach again.

Tropical Storm Debby Stay

Great location. Really nice house. Hugh was very responsive. Would stay there again. Too bad we were there the week of a tropical storm as the island shut down for a few days and we had a lot of rain/wind. I strongly suggest either avoiding a trip during hurricane season or have insurance if traveling this time of year.

Wonderful Beach Retreat

Our family had such a wonderful thanksgiving holiday in your beautiful home. The house is perfectly appointed with wonderful homey touches that made us feel like we were at home. You thought of everything - and we were so appreciative. It meant so much that we could bring our dog, we enjoyed beautiful views with dolphins awaiting us each morning. great beach access, well equipped kitchen, super loacation! Hope that we can stay here again!

A perfect spot!

The property was great! The location was perfect! The house was clean and extremely comfortable. It had great entertaining space, great relaxing space, a spacious property for sure! The property owner was easy to communicate with. The house was perfect for 4 couples. Each had their own en- suite. Beds were comfortable! I would rent this property again and again. !

Great House!

The house was fantastic. Just as described. In addition to being a great house, Hugh was a great host. Very responsive and one of the few rentals that really has all of the accessories (paper towels, toilet paper, salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc.) that make the place like home.

Picture perfect relaxation

This house has it all — unbelievable beachfront views from multiple decks, super comfy accommodations, and well-stocked everything (there are more towels, chairs, boogyboards and gas grills than you will probably ever need!) The house is in an ideal location near the market but in a quiet cul de sac. Hugh was super responsive to questions and even let us keep our bags at the place and use the porch post checkout for a few hours since we booked a later ferry. Highly recommend and looking to come back next year!

Great host, great location and all the stuff!

Hugh is an incredibly responsive and generous host. This house is the most well-equipped beach house we’ve ever rented - beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys galore plus the most well-equipped kitchen you could ask for. Sunny deck, shaded deck, screened deck or Sandy play area with kids swings and a porch swing, you have every option imaginable for family space or quiet space. Living room and dining room are great for family games, and the second fridge in the garage really helps!

We visit quite often and keep our home well cared for, and by our presence, keep an eye out for whats of interest on the Island to tell our guests what might be fun to do and prepare for.

We chose Bald Head Island because the Island grabbed us 10 years ago when we first visited. It is relatively close to our home, 'hard to get to' because its an island, and it is in North Carolina the best place to live!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This Island is magical! It starts as soon as you unload and begin the journey on our great ferries. The 20 minute ride is just enough to unwind and relax before you hit the Island and start what we call 'Island Time'. You will love the slower pace. Step onto the lower porch or the upper deck and see the Atlantic in all its glory, and you'll want to go get another drink and sit yourself down a spell. Our home is so close to everything and RIGHT ON THE BEACH! We thank the Lord every day for allowing us to be so fortunate and share this wonderful Island. We pinch each other to make sure we are still awake, because it seems like such a dream come true.
Memberships at The Bald Head Island Club and The Shoals Club allows our guests the optional amenity of securing Temporary Guest Memberships during your stay with us. Guest contact the Clubs directly for Guest Membership application via their websites.
