August 2025 renovations included new hurricane-proof sliding glass doors, custom draperies, white kitchen cabinets and appliances, quartz countertops, floor tile and repainting throughout.

Frequent visitors to Grande Bay have written 'This is the nicest unit we have stayed in.' It is in the front building on the ideal second floor next to the water.

Picture yourself here! This premiere, quiet one-bedroom condo just feet from the ocean offers views overlooking aqua waters from the roofed front balcony with balustrade. (No building in between.) Inside, floor to ceiling turquoise drapes frame glass doors of the living room decorated in shades of aqua, blue, and spring green. A queen size sleeper sofa and chair offer seating for the Sony flat screen TV with DVD player. Original artwork enhances the tropical atmosphere.

The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave and freestanding stove/oven, blender, coffeemaker, and toaster oven. Granite countertops extend out, offering barstool seating for four. Guaranteeing a quiet night's sleep in this tranquil setting, the spacious master bedroom with full bath features Lexington Tommy Bahama furnishings: king-size bed, night tables, and bureau. A back balcony offers sunny views of the ever-blooming, tropical landscaping.

Everything we needed was there…and organized and clean! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out to Cruz Bay. It was only a short walk to restaurants, shops, the grocery store, and to the beach taxis.

Surfside was just right for us. It is very comfortable and has of the extras like paper towels, soap, washer and dryer. The only thing we struggled with was the very tight parking space. We are looking at trying to rent a much smaller vehicle in the future. We had a Bronco.

Fantastic views. Management checked in couple times to make sure everything was going well. One maintenance issue was fixed immediately. Stayed for 14 days, well stocked without running out of basics. Toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, garbage bags, dish soap.

Why they chose this property

After years of exploring the Virgin Islands through bareboat sailing rentals, we settled on St. John because of the spectacular scenery, the warmth of the island people, and the perfect weather.

What makes this property unique

We love the ever-changing vistas of the harbor: pelicans diving, sailboats coming and going. The proximity to town is another plus - we love leaving the car behind and walking to the many wonderful restaurants in Cruz Bay.
