Summary:
Welcome to our charming 2 bedroom casita, located just a short distance from the excitement of Hollywood! Our home is the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The Space:
Experience the charm and character of old Hollywood at our beautifully renovated 1920's Spanish style house in Hancock Park. This cozy and stylish two bedroom, two bathroom home is the perfect retreat for travelers looking to experience the best of LA.
Each bedroom is furnished with a luxurious king size bed, ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep. The second bedroom can be converted to two twin beds as well. The primary bedroom has it’s own bathroom and shower as well as a dedicated desk/work space. The living room is cozy and inviting with a fireplace and plenty of space to curl up and watch a movie. The fully equipped kitchen is a chef's dream, with modern appliances and perfect for cooking up a storm.
Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee on the private patio, or sit around the firepit in the shared back yard and enjoy a glass of wine with the guest in the back house.
With easy access to popular restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, you'll have no shortage of things to do during your stay. We can't wait to host you and make your trip to LA a memorable one!
Guest Access:
There are three living spaces here at Melrose Space: The Casita (where you will be staying) and two units in the back: The MaisonNet is a one bedroom tiny home for long term rental and The Nomad Pad is the studio that I live in. While the front yard is entirely yours, THE BACK YARD IS A SHARED SPACE. The Casita has a side gate that tenants use to access the back houses. You’ll have access to the entire two bedroom home. All of the doors to the house are smart and will open with the personal code you receive when you book.
The Neighborhood:
Honestly, you’re at the corner of 4 awesome neighborhoods. I’d say we are technically in Handcock Park.
Hancock Park is a genteel residential enclave dating back to the 1920s. Well-preserved mansions in architectural styles such as Tudor and Italian Revival occupy large lots with broad lawns and porticos. Surrounding the Wilshire Country Club, the area includes Windsor Square and Larchmont Village, which features a quaint shopping and dining strip. Synagogues on La Brea Avenue serve the Orthodox Jewish community.
But you’re also so close to Hollywood, West Hollywood, and Fairfax district. It truly is the best of so many worlds.

8 minute drive Grove
5 minute drive to trendy Larchmont
10 minute drive to West Hollywood
20 minute drive to Silver Lake
24 minute drive to Downtown LA
Getting Around:
The neighborhood is very walkable. We are literally feet from Melrose Ave.
Parking: you’ll have 1 pass which allows you to park on the street.
Metered Parking: There is also metered parking along Melrose if you need additional parking.
Scooters: Bird, Lyft, and Lime are all fun apps you can download to use scooters to get around.
Uber/Lyft: Use ride sharing to avoid drinking and driving.
Subway: Believe it or not, we have a subway! Uber to the subway in Hollywood and get back and forth to places like Downtown without getting stuck in traffic!
Other Things to Note:
In an effort to maintain a secure premises, there are visible exterior cameras in the ally-way entrance, the back yard, as well as ring doorbells which monitor people coming and going. Cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras inside the airBnBs. There is a noise monitor in the unit to detect if sound levels go beyond a certain level and can detect parties. THIS DOES NOT RECORD SOUND, just alerts us when the decibels get too high, especially 10pm to 8am.
