The house was perfect, everything you need for a relaxing stay. Immaculately clean, the views were to die for and very nicely decorated. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. 5 stars all around we will be back!!!

The lake view was absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of our stay! Unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing. The patio furniture was broken and in terrible condition, and the outside of the property was cluttered and poorly maintained. The cleanliness inside was also lacking. For three guests, we were only provided one washcloth and one extra blanket, and the majority of the kitchen cupboards were locked. This property has so much potential with such an incredible view, but the lack of cleanliness, basic amenities, and overall upkeep really took away from our experience.

This review is inaccurate. First off, there are several towels/washcloths for our guests located in the bedroom dresser and closet which is clearly stated in the handbook which you didn’t read and they are clearly labeled! You even messaged me asking me and I quickly told you that. Second, we had a severe wind storm the day before your arrival which we explained to you about the patio table being broken from it. Third, not sure what you mean about cleanliness as the home is professionally cleaned in between every guest and we never had a complaint about anything like that. We wish you luck

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Lake House. Was not too far away to get downtown, or hard to find the house. Everything needed was accessible and clean. I recommended looking through their guidebook as we found some cool spots. Overall an amazing experience and a gorgeous view.

The view from this property was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the overall condition of the property and the experience with the rental did not meet our expectations. There were several maintenance issues and cleanliness issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived. Outdoor furniture was broken and safety issue. There was trash around the property, and the kitchen poorly equipped. There was only one pan available for cooking, and many of the utensils were old and worn. The bathroom door handle also did not have a functional lock, which is a basic privacy issue that should be corrected. The communication before our stay was also unnecessary frustration. I was told that I needed to verbally agree to the rental terms before I could proceed. I had already agreed to the terms in writing through the process provided to me, and there was no clear place to provide or instruction explaining how I was supposed to provide verbal agreement. After several back-and-forth communications this situation was resolved. This property has tremendous potential because of the location and beautiful view, but the condition I mentioned need to be corrected.

Beautiful View

My granddaughter and I had the best time staying here. With floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, we had a perfect view of the lake. We enjoyed our walks throughout the pretty neighborhood. The host was very attentive and the house was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again!

Aspectos negativos: Limpieza, comunicación y precisión del anuncio
Very disappointing for the price — beautiful view, but poorly maintained property and poor communicationUnfortunately, our stay at this property was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. The property was advertised as a house, but it felt much more like a very run-down mobile home. The overall condition, lack of basic amenities, and maintenance issues were not what we expected based on the listing. We were only able to comfortably use the guest bedroom, and we were surprised to find out that someone actually lives at the property permanently. The guest bathroom had no cabinets or shelving, making it difficult to even have a place to put toiletries and personal items while getting ready. The guest bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin that you could feel the springs underneath you, making it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The property does have an amazing view of the river, which was definitely the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, we couldn’t really enjoy the outdoor area because there was very limited seating, and much of the furniture was in extremely poor condition and felt unsafe or unstable. There were holes in some of the furniture, a broken table that was leaning over, and the wicker furniture appeared to be rotten and deteriorating. We also could not use the jacuzzi. It was empty and appeared to be an inflatable type of jacuzzi that wasn’t set up for use during our stay.

We’re disappointed by this review because many of the complaints presented as surprises were clearly disclosed in our listing before this reservation was made. The listing clearly explains the property’s setup, including that the home is owner-occupied, the amenities provided, the outdoor areas, and the specific features of the property. The listing photos also provide guests with an accurate representation of the home and furnishings. These details are available to guests before booking, so they should not come as a surprise upon arrival. In particular, the reviewer states that they were “surprised” that someone permanently lives at the property. This is explicitly disclosed in the listing. Similarly, the comments regarding the property’s amenities and outdoor setup are based on features that are visible in the listing and photographs prior to booking. We understand that every guest has different expectations and preferences regarding mattresses, furniture, storage, and amenities. However, a personal preference does not mean that a property was misrepresented. Guests are responsible for carefully reviewing the listing, photos, amenities, and house information before making a reservation to ensure the property is a good fit for their needs. We do take legitimate maintenance concerns seriously and address issues when they are brought to our attention. What we cannot control is whether a guest chooses to book a property after having access to the information describing it. The beautiful river view that the reviewer mentions is, in fact, one of the defining features of this property—and it is clearly represented in the listing. We’re sorry the property was not the right fit for this guest, but we encourage future guests to read the complete listing and review the photos carefully before booking so they can make an informed decision about whether the property meets their expectations.

My husband and I booked this home for a weekend trip to getaway during our anniversary vacation. My hubby can be difficult to please but couldn’t stop complimenting the choice I made on this house! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the location was beautiful, with plenty of great food and parks nearby to try.
