Es lo mejor de ambos mundos: dentro de las dos horas de la mayoría de las atracciones principales, pero lo suficientemente retirado para esa sensación de alejarse de todo. ¡Ven a descubrir el condado de Highlands por ti mismo!

Esta casa es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de sus vacaciones. Esta casa remodelada tiene pisos nuevos de techo / tejas y ha sido completamente pintada en el interior y admite mascotas. Ubicado a solo 10 minutos de las tiendas, Highlands Hammock State Park, el hospital de Florida y numerosos campos de golf, Sebring International Raceway y otras actividades locales.

El patio junto al lago está adornado por robles muy altos que muestran musgo español colgando de sus extremidades. Su sombra, la piscina y la brisa del lago refresca el patio trasero en el calor del verano. En invierno, lo que más me gusta es sentarme alrededor de nuestra chimenea portátil de ladrillo y disfrutar de los cielos llenos de estrellas.

Observar la vida salvaje en esta propiedad es un verdadero placer, puede encontrar una variedad dependiendo de la época del año, búhos, halcones, ardillas, tortugas, grullas, maravillosas especies de aves de Florida.

Exactly what we needed.

My son and I needed a nice place to stay for the long weekend as we went to the 12 hours of Sebring. This was a perfect place to rent and we’d come back for sure.

Our recent stay

We stayed in the property two years ago and loved it. The view is beautiful and has a large acre fenced in yard for our dog. The downside this year was that in the second bathroom the owners removed the sink. This was a terrible inconvenience if you have guests staying with you or just visiting. The guests would have to use the kitchen sink or the other bathroom to wash their hands. Because of this we will not be staying here again.

Great cabin at the lake

The home is accurately described on the VRBO website. All equipment at the home, including the air conditioning system worked great. The fenced in yard was a bonus for our dog who traveled with us and the boat house was a prefect place to end the day. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. The neighbors we met were friendly and made us feel part of the community. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Weekend getaway

This place was just as described. The house is well stocked with everything you need. We fished off the dock every day & when it got to hot we swam in the pool. The owner was very friendly & quickly responded to any questions we had. Will definitely stay here again.

Snowbird Getaway

We found the property to be better than pictured. It was a great location on the lake with a nice yard for our small dog. We were there for 2 months. The neighbors were friendly. Fredrika was easily accessible (only a text message away). Nice scenery and areas to walk. The house had most anything we needed and more. The pool was well kept and got warm enough to use in February. I would rent again.

Absolutely love this charming home. I was looking for a location that offered beauty, wildlife and peace and this met every requirement. Everything about it was just what I wanted and needed. Home is very charming and comfortable, pool was perfect, and the location on the lake was so tranquil. I didn't want to leave and will definitely stay here again. Freddie - I cannot thank you enough. Great place for boating and kayaking!

Brought our kayaks and boat and enjoyed our stay. The pool was very welcome during the extreme heat we were experiencing in Florida during June. Because of the heat, the AC had a difficult time keeping it cool. The ceiling fans helped, though. Good variety of birds, good fishing, and fabulous sunsets!

Great Experience. Perfect view

It was our first time renting a house on VRBO. I already knew Lake Josephine had amazing views, I used to live on this lake when I resided in Highlands County. But, the pictures of this post does this rental no justice. It was perfect. Waking up in the morning to a bright view of the water/dock area due to all the windows. Eating breakfast at the nook next to a large window with the lake view. Afternoon swimming in the underground pool with the lake view, while my husband would cast his line. (We did not come down at the right time for fishing, but why not try.) The evening sunsets down at the dock with the lights and the hammock to relax. Just perfection. Best money we have ever spent on a vacation. The gate at the entrance of the property made me comfortable no one would just show up. The neighbors were super friendly. Also the house is huge. It was just the 2 of us, so we didn’t get to utilize all the space but again, the pictures just don’t do it justice. I fully recommend this rental. Peaceful, clean and just overall beautiful.

Sebring lakeside hideaway

Property location was nice quiet lakeside community. Spacious grounds with open outdoor pool/ patio area. Wonderful Views of Lake Josephine with spacious covered dock. Home is somewhat dated and does need some work . Classic 60’s florida ranch style home. Somewhat eclectic. . Overall home was clean, aplliances dated but functional . It was a great location to go back and forth to Sebring international Raceway . Would also be great for boater with plenty of space on property for boat and trailer for adjacent lakes and fishing. Would stay again.

Beautiful Setting

We stayed at this property for one month. The location for us was ideal. The home was clean and spacious. The yard was large and beautiful. The dock was lovely as well. It is an absolutely beautiful setting. We would certainly stay here again!

Peaceful getaway

My family and I were in town for the state baseball tournament. We needed to book something last minute with enough room for our children and a pool for entertainment. The property owners made the whole process simple. The pictures do not do this home justice. It is beautiful, spacious and super clean. The bunk room was perfect for our children. Even though we were in town for baseball many memories were made with my family here.

Family getaway

What a great time! If you just want to relax and chill out by the lake, this is a great spot. Hop in the pool to cool off and grill some burgers! Only left the house to pickup groceries. Fished a little bit off the dock and enjoyed the quiet. Did take one quick trip to Highlands Hammocks State Park for a short hike.. really nice old Florida perspective.

Best sunsets! Relaxing getaway

The whole family enjoyed the place, my wife and my mother enjoyed laying by the pool side, the kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, played badminton and used the kayak. We barbequed every night and had dinner outside while watching the sunset. It was not our first time staying at this house and wo t be the last.....highly recommend it.

Wonderful

Great romantic weekend getaway! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and couldn't have been better having dinner on the dock while watching the sunset. We also enjoyed watching the wildlife, birds, squirrels, loved the natural setting of the home. Highly recommended, we will certainly be back

Perfect weekend trip

My family enjoyed staying at the property for a long weekend. The dock was perfect for our boat, children enjoyed the pool and the sunsets were stunning. The home was as advertised and worked out perfectly for my family of 4.

Warm and Peaceful

While sum items could by updated everything was adequate for five adult that sheltered from the coronavirus. Great weather and the pool even got warm.
