DuPont Escape est un condominium récemment rénové avec 1 chambre et 1 salle de bain dans un bâtiment de style colonial en brique magnifiquement restauré au cœur de DuPont Circle, dans les rues P et 21st. Doté de chambres lumineuses et d'un mobilier de bon goût, cette unité au troisième étage est accessible par ascenseur, ou en montant deux volées d'escaliers. L'emplacement de l'unité est calme - à l'arrière du bâtiment, de sorte que vous ne serez pas dérangé par les bruits de la rue le long de la rue P. It should be noted, however, that there is quite some constant noise and sometimes even vibrations coming from the fans on the roof right above the apartment and from the adjacent hotel. The noise gets especially loud in wintertime.

Great stay

We really enjoyed this apartment. It is very well located, close to Dupont Circle and the Metro there, restaurants, grocery stores and a CVS drugstore. It is also close to the Phillips Collection, which we love. The kitchen was quite well stocked, with all the cookware and dishes we needed and even oil, vinegar and some spices in the pantry. A good washer and dryer are right outside the front door of the apartment (in a closet) , with a cleaners downstairs if you are not inclined to do your own laundry. We found the apartment well-lit and cheerful. We were very comfortable staying there for a month. Whenever we needed something or had questions, Charlotte got back to us very quickly. Highly recommended.

Comfortable Stay !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed in this condo for 3 months while I enjoyed the beginning of retirement. Since I was there just to see all the sights, I feel so lucky to have found this condo to stay in. It was a perfect location. The red line metro was within easy walking distance. There Is a small grocery store just steps away as well as (2 )Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Safeway all within a 15 min walk. There are 3 drugstores close by. The restaurants close by were great, especially Rasika on New Hampshire ! It is also a short walk to Georgetown where again there are many stores and restaurants. The Postoffice and UPS store ,where I had a mailbox ,were also easy walks. The condo was very comfortable including the bed and pillows ! When I first arrived there was a broken curtain rod and a slow draining bathroom sink. One call to Charlotte and the the repair man, Lance, was there the next day. I also needed the replacement of a couple of kitchen items and again Charlotte was right on it and had them delivered to the condo. The top floor is pretty quiet. I met 3 people who live on the floor, otherwise I would just hear others coming and going. There are 6 condo units on the floor, other floors are commercial businesses so there is not evening activity. The area and building felt very safe to me. I appreciated that there was a code to get in the front door. Anyone coming to the businesses downstairs had to be buzzed in. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. I appreciated the prompt response from Charlotte with any question or concern I had before and during my stay.

Perfect Getaway

My wife, son and I needed a quick getaway Easter weekend and this was perfect. Then property is in Dupont Circle steps away from the sprawling Sunday Farmers Market and location to great food and bars, all within walking distance. The property was as described, clean, spacious and quiet.

Great Location and Property - bad timing

The property and location are great. Our problem was with noise. There was nightclub noise emanating from somewhere down 21st street that was too prominent in the bedroom, and a neighbor across the hall had a very loud party one night that went until 2a - we couldn’t sleep at all. Sad outcomes for an otherwise hopeful property.

I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate timing of the neighbor's gathering. The unit is in the back of the building and thus protected from street noise, it is usually very quiet. It is the first time we have had comments about noise. The noise down the street may have been do to the NBA playoff? That's all I can think of. On the other hand, I am glad the comments about the condo itself were positive.

Spring break ‘22

The space was plenty of room for our family of 4. It was very clean and close to many restaurants and easy access to public transportation. The kitchen was well stocked. Pull out couch was comfortable. Bed the the main room wasn’t great. No TV in main bedroom. Be sure to purchase toilet paper, paper towels & coffee filters to last a week. Pillows on the pull out were great. Pillows for the main bed not so much. A comforter for the pull out couch would of been great.

We were literally a block and a half from the metro, it was such a great neighborhood with restaurants in a few bars, but very quiet, you would never know there were businesses out there. We felt safe at all times, and more than once I commented to my wife and how clean the neighborhood was. The rental itself was immaculate, kitchen bathroom living room and bedroom, they cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. We recommend it it will definitely be back!

Cute DuPont Condo

My husband and I stayed at this property. The condo itself was clean and welcoming. The building, however, could use some TLC. Overall, the experience was great! The kitchen had almost all the comforts of home we needed to make our stay comfortable. The bed in the bedroom was very stiff. We were less than pleased to spend 6 nights sleeping in it, as it left much to be desired. Also, we purchased our town toilet paper because the toilet paper provided was 1 ply. The listing doesn't say this, but there IS a hair dryer under the sink in the bathroom. Had I known this, I would not have packed my own. The washer and dryer is a stackable, small machine steps away from the front door of the condo. I brought my own Tide pods and Bounce sheets, and was glad that I did because none were provided. There was a note on the door indicating the unit is used by multiple residents on the floor. There were 2 dishwasher tablets under the sink when we arrived. I also packed my own Cascade tablets, as I anticipated cooking. I'm glad I brought extras. The neighborhood is quaint and hip! We really enjoyed staying in DuPont Circle, and plan to stay in this area again when we return to DC. The only thing that really scared me was the black boxes around the trash area in the back which I came to learn were for rats. The check-out instructions indicate to remove your own trash, which is understandable; however, we left at 5 am for a 7 am flight, and the thought of going out back to where the trash cans and recycling bins were (surrounded by those scary black boxes, something of which I have never seen and am not accustomed to having come from a suburban area in SC) while it was still dark really scared me. I made my husband do it. The metro was a convenient walk just a few blocks away. We rode the red line metro all around the city with no problems. We recommend this condo!

We appreciate thorough responses as it gives us an indication of where we can make improvements. We are leaving behind more machine pods in the condo based on this helpful feedback. The black boxes are bait boxes and are indeed a fixture in urban areas, you will see them around buildings, in alleys, parking garages, everywhere! We are glad they are here in abundance keeping control of pests. It's a great condo in a great location, we hope to host you soon.

Very nice stay

This is a very pleasant and clean unit in a great location. The building itself is a little tired but the apartment was comfortable and pretty (and again, clean!) and had everything we needed. Proximity to markets and transportation. We could walk many places. Not a luxurious get away but perfect for what we were looking for. No issues at all with check in or check out. Would definitely recommend.

Great location. Pictures accurately depict the unit. Elevator wasn't working and unit was on 3rd floor. Kitchen was flooded during rainstorm and we had to use bath towels to mop up all the water. Request for replacement towels went unanswered. Problem with water pressure in shower.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was a good one. Apartment was very quiet. Sits in the rear of building on 3rd floor. The building is older and could use some sprucing up in hallways and staircase. Has an elevator. The first and second floors are commercial which is nice because it keeps it very quite. Never saw any tenants on 3rd floor. Washer and dryer right outside the door which was very convenient. Location is 2 blocks to metro. Easy walk. Bua Thai restaurant on P street was excellent. Pizzerio Paradiso on P street also great place for craft beers and pizza. Had some trouble with lock on entering the apartment, phoned manager and was responded to quickly and was helped getting in. There are some items in apartment that need some TLC like the blinds in bedroom one is broken. The curtain rods in living room are coming out of the wall and last that leather chair that all other reviews talk about that needs to be retired. It is comfortable but is pretty scratch up and from an appearance stand point does not create a good first impression. Couch in living room has been replaced with a nice gray one. Kitchen was new and had everything needed.
