Best place so far I have stayed and I grew up on Sanibel. Really cute, clean and cozy. The pool was very warm and welcoming. I come back every summer and I hope to rent this house again in 2022 or sooner. Hannah Bailey ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

location

nice cottage, loved the pool. more than 300 steps to beach, about .12 miles to beach. property is on backside of a resort, so for 2 days we had to listen to the resort resurfacing the road

The Shell Basket 1 was a nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stayed at the Shell Basket 1. The house is really laid out nice with the master bedroom on one end of house and other 2 bedrooms at opposite end. Pretty much everything you need was there. Could use a few more small spoons. Very nice having a washer and dryer too and the pool was a hit with our 2 grandkids. Location to the beach was just a short walk. The only negative response we would have was the dog poop that was not cleaned up in the grilling area and dog hair left on the welcome mats.

I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the lanai where the table and chairs are needs to be treated. Something constantly bit at our feet, ankles, and legs that left little red bumps. And the kitchen is not fully stocked with pots and pans, etc. We ate out more often than we normally do for this reason.

Cool but far from peaceful

Construction noise sucked!! along with steady traffic in and out. Pool guy came 2x in the week and dumped in 2 buckets of chlorine... ruining my day poolside after shelling Not THAT clean, Trash under furniture; dusty... other than that we had fun

Location, Location!!!

We loved our stay at the Shell Basket 1. It was clean, and the perfect size for 5 people. We like the large kitchen and bar area, perfect for gathering. The pool was perfect for the kids. The screened in porch was a huge bonus. No bugs! Most of all the location, was beyond what we expected. We were a 1 min walk to the beach and a few steps away from the walking trails! We will definitely be coming back next year!
