Marty was a phenomenal host from booking to check out. We were extremely fortunate to be able to check in early and check out late, which truly helped with a toddler in tow. Not only was his home spacious, I can’t say enough about the location too! A five minute walk from the ferry and just steps from the beach/shops, it made exploring and coming back home to rest for my son extremely convenient. Highly recommend Marty’s place!

The yellow house is a wonderful find on Catalina. Marty, the host, is the best communicator. No guessing - he explains everything. Highly recommend the yellow house for a vacation on Catalina Island.

I’ve stayed on Avalon many times over the last 40 years, hotels on Crescent, condos, houses. The Yellow House is a winner. Several doors down from Crescent St stores, restaurants and the sand. The double balconies are great to chill out on and the house well maintained and current. The Toy Room has more than you’ll need. We enjoyed rolling around town on the beach cruisers. Next time we’ll pull the kayaks out!Great communication from our host Marty.Overall, just a great experience in wonderful Avalon. Thank you Marty!

Marty has to be the best host in the Vrbo universe. He has undersold the overall experience of his unit in Avalon. Specifically, the WOW experience we loved was the unexpected total convenience and amenities provided: So close to the main area and ferry! We loved hanging out on the decks and people-watching, we loved the high-quality bikes we rode to the snorkeling and swimming beaches, to the restaurants, and up hill to the Wrigley monument and beer/snack places. The bed and sleeping lounges were super-comfortable, and even the excellent shower heads were on our list of details he thought of. Also, we so appreciated the outdoor locker we used to store our luggage for a couple hours after we checked out while walking and breakfasting before the ferry ride back. These were surprises and game changers that we kept raving about while enjoying our weekend there. Well done, what a great host you are, Marty!

LOCATION!!! Property is amazing, all the perks. Lots of space and the toys are great. Marty has a locker set up so if you arrive early or are departing after check out you can store your bags. No noise from the night life but only a block from everything. Great kitchen and layout of home.
