The space is styled in Nordic fashion with a play on American 1950`s retro; simple, clean and elegant. 1bd/1ba chalet. Luxury linens, high quality mattresses and location right on the trail hard to beat.
NOTE: This space sleeps 4. The single room has a king bed and the living room has 2 sofas, each folds into a full-size bed. All linens included.

I am available to resolve issues, provide additional supplies and help with recommendations for your trip.
My wife and I were born and raised in Alaska. We are both explorers and adventurers so have a lot of personal experience in Alaska`s outdoors. My wife has worked in the Alaska travel industry for a long time and is an expert with bookings and trip planning.
The property is located in one of Anchorage`s first homesteads. As the family grew in generations the original homestead was divided over time into the smaller pieces we currently have. There are multiple descendants of the original homesteaders still living in the neighborhood.
This said, the property is very centrally located in Anchorage:
10 min to the Airport | 3 min to the Seward Hwy | <5 min to multiple restaurants 15 min to Flattop Mountain | 10 min to Downtown | 45 min to Girdwood
There are two private and designated off-street parking spots. There is also a city park that abuts the property where larger vehicles or those with trailers could park temporarily.
We have a private access trail to the Campbell Creek Trail and are directly next to a creek access park. The park has a nice small beach that is safe for kids. The Campbell Creek Trail is paved and connects to over 100 miles of city-wide trails for access to endless local adventures. Taku Lake is 1 mile South on the trail and offers a great morning views, fishing and sunshine. Peanut Farm Bar and Arctic Roadrunner Burger Joint are both .75 mile North on the trail and are both classic Alaskan watering holes with tons of historical pictures and a look at Alaska`s short past.

Beautiful property with hiking trail and a brook close by and surrounded by nature. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and the host was so helpful with providing recommendations to make our stay so special.
Host was very personable/helpful. Helpful to know it is in a neighborhood, but the backyard is a wonderful setting within walking distance to a city trail.
Secluded lower level apartment in a nice creekside setting not far from airport and downtown. Good size for 2-4 people. Well equipped and comfortable. Only a few minor gripes which didnt detract from the overall experience
We had an amazing time in Alaska (first time visitors) and Dallas’s place was amazing. It’s literally on the creek so you can enjoy and outdoor grilling or sitting around a fire pit. The chalet itself is very clean and organized in the way that you will have everything you might need during your Alaskan adventures. Top notch communication from the host as well. Thanks a lot!
This place is the middle on Anchorage but feels like the middle of the woods. Creek and bike path just steps from the backdoor. Owner was such a great help in helping me plan my daily hikes/ fishing trips. Place super clean and only 10 minutes from the airport. I would 100% stay again... great for a honeymooning couple or just a couple friends.
This was a great location to sit at the creek out back and enjoy your coffee. It also backs right up to a nice bike/jogging path if you like to keep up your morning run while on vacation. The darn rain dampened our plans to use the firepit, but it was a great setup! Dallas (host) was extremely helpful in giving us ideas on places to go and made sure our stay was super smooth.
We stayed at Creekside Getaway #3 for a week while vacationing in Anchorage. We absolutely loved our clean, spacious home away from home! The place is well cared for a while minimalistic, it has everything you will need. The kitchen with the retro appliances was soo darling and had all we needed to cook breakfasts each day. We also loved the special features such as lighted bathroom mirror and the best hot shower ever!! We loved the creek area behind the house and took advantage of the trail for daily walks. We would definitely stay again!

Jana, i love that you had such a great time! I love that you appreciated all the finishes and extra touches. Cheers!
spacious apartment, modern appliances, beautiful setting, convenient location
This is a very spacious one-bedroom apartment in a house with two other rental units. The kitchen was recently remodeled with modern appliances. The bathroom was recently remodeled too. The whole place feels clean and new. It is adjacent to a linear parkway along a creek, it was green with lush vegetation when we were there (in May). It is located in the middle of Anchorage and was convenient to everywhere we went around town. We would definitely go back if we go to Anchorage again.

Thanks for your great description and for staying! I really appreciate your time taken to write something. Please come again any time! Alaska is a new place every 6 to 7 weeks as the light and weather changes.
Location was very good, close to the airport and shopping. Nice backyard with view of the creek and a walking/biking path.Bed was comfortable. The bedroom was one step up from the rest of the apartment but there were no windows so no issue of trying to sleep during Alaska summer. Be careful of that step in the middle of the night, pack nightlights.Nice little kitchen. The decorator was going for a “mid-century modern theme. The downside for us also of mid century vintage is the furniture looked the part but was not comfortable at all. The couch springs were uncomfortable no matter what we tried. The kitchen appliances were cute but the fridge is smaller than it looks, so it can’t accommodate much of anything that is tall.Lots of stairs down to the apartment, it is a basement unit and the upstairs neighbors walking around sounded at times like Storm Troopers.
