Great place for a large group of people with a beautiful view. The playroom was great for my niece and even though it was really too cold to spend time outside, there was plenty of games that we enjoyed inside.
Amazing. This place is convenient but off the main roads. We will be staying again soon.

Amazing property for boys weekend
Came to pre fish for an upcoming tournament. Had adults and boys from 12-40 years old and this place was perfect for our group of 7. Frank was the best host/communicator I have ever had. This place was everything and well worth it!
The location and communication with host were great.

Milkyway Lodge Country Home
Excellent property. 8 adults and 7 kids had a wonderful family reunion. Swimming, fishing, campfire and boating were all at our back door. We will be returning.

Old style home with distinct summer fishing and boating feel
Good impressions although home and furnishings are reminiscent of the 1970s. Maintenance is needed. Most railings would not meet current codes. Dock is undergoing renovation.
Great location! Lots of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy with the siblings. Frank responded quickly to solve our check in issue. Our fishing members were rewarded with a catfish and several perch. And when we went into Frankston, we enjoyed the (surprise) arts and crafts in the town square. Our only disappointment was that the house was not as updated as the one we rented last year.
The place was fantastic. 9 adults and the infant grandchild. Got a guide, crappie everywhere, filled the boat. Cobb Inlet is a nice cove with great scenery. Gals went “treasure hunting” in Frankston and Palestine. Burgers from the Marina and breakfast from the Tex-Mex place in Frankston. The house is great. Plenty of room, good and plentiful amenities, and the boathouse is nice. Plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. The house made the whole weekend very enjoyable. We had a really great time!

Peaceful Retreat
Coming into this Home and I use this word Home because this is just the way we felt as we arrived,At Home. We found it to be a very peaceful retreat. Everything we needed to make our stay a total success was right there, Thank you for providing covers on the furniture . It was like unwrapping presents as we uncovered and discovered this beautiful decorated home. The Kitchen was equipped with all we needed to have our stay a fun and fattening one as we cooked and ate and cooked and ate. Setting out on the deck over looking the lake was the most relaxing time we have had in years. The stars were incredible and the sounds of not traffic no Neighbors close was comforting to say the least. The beds were very comfortable. We found our Children not wanting to leave, especially sense you provided a special place just for them. Now they are asking when can we go back. Thank you. Oh Yes . I love the pictures we bought while we were there. I am glad to share our adventures with others. Again Thank you.

Pictures DO NOT match actual condition
I had a great time on the lake, but this particular home had a number of issues. I rent homes for vacation multiple times a year, but this is the first time I've had to leave a poor review. The house wasn't very clean or in good condition. All the furniture that didn't have torn fabric was covered with bed sheets with instruction not to remove them? Mold in the shower, missing carpet causing a trip hazard for kids and owner leaves a VERY LONG list of "RULES" that you don't receive until the day before your trip. The stairs don't even have safety railing. Unfortunately this lake view doesn't existing since the neighbor build a very nice boat house for you to enjoy looking at. The dock seen in the images is from 2 houses down, and the dock available is NOT kid friendly. I felt like I was paying to stay at my weird old uncles old lake house.

Hi Thomas, Thank you for your review. The homeowner would like to respond with the following: "We are glad you had a wonderful time at the lake. We are surprised that you found our place unsatisfactory to your standards as our highly-rated cleaning service thoroughly cleans and inspects the home before each guest's stay. We ask guests in the check-in form that they receive by email before their arrival to please report any issues that may arise during your stay. During your stay you did not contact us with any issues, nor have you provided any documentation to support the claims in your review. The house does not have a boat dock, it has a private boat slip, and the wonderful lake view is still there even with the new boathouse that was under construction while you were there. The house is very safe and in satisfactory condition for all ages. As seen in other reviews, our house has a warm old vintage feel and look that our previous guests have enjoyed. We will also be adding our own boat dock for guests to enjoy at the end of October." Best, the Evolve Team

" I love it when a plan comes together."
The plan was to get together at the lake house and to make memories rather than just send gift certificates. Fortunately we found a house with six bedrooms (one of which had a playroom for small children)and four bathrooms right on the lake. Plus the property manager was very. responsive. Thank you, Frank.
Plenty of room for our small gathering of 15 family members. Very spacious with plenty of seating indoors and out.
All 8 people that stayed here slept comfortable and enjoyed the property. Property manager, Frank was very helpful and easy to reach.
This was a great place for our group to stay. Plenty of room, nice amenities, and the lake dock was just a bonus. The back deck was a great place for coffee and quiet time too. Would definitely stay here again.

Good Times
We had a golf outing with some friends at a nearby golf course. The house was a great place to convene after the round and relax by the water.
This Property was excellent, and provided the perfect stay for my family as we waited to attend my son graduation from the University of Tyler. My family ranging from 87yrs to 4 months old love fishing and the lake was the perfect venue. The owners hospitality match the excellence of the facility. Even the neighbors were great. Great place, Great service would highly recommend !!!
Peaceful but wish I'd known some things ahead of time
We had a lovely stay. It's a quiet and peaceful location. Large property. We loved the friendly ducks that would frequent the lake and back yard. the lake is beautiful and the dock is big. plenty of space to relax and good fishing. sun deck on the 2nd level is lovely too. the house is clean and has lots of room for a large group- there were 9 of us ranging from 14 - adults.
things we'd wished we'd known beforehand:
The stairs are open on one side so may be hazardous for small children.
The bedroom with the twin bed has no door so it's not private. it's a playroom with a bed in it. fine for a child but didn't work well for my adult daughter.
you will be asked to water the potted plants every 2nd day.
there are a lot of rules: remove the outer bedding and shams and use the blankets in the closets, don't stand on the furniture (we wouldn't anyway), don't let the children eat outside of the kitchen or dining area. We wouldn't do some of these things anyway but it made us nervous that we'd do something to upset the owner.
Overall it was a relaxing week and our family had fun.
We stayed Wed - Sunday at Frank’s lake house it was great! The house itself is a little dated, but is huge and can accommodate a lot of people. The layout of the house is very nice and really provides a lot of privacy when needed. We brought our 3 year old son and he was THRILLED with the playroom and swing set outside. The back deck and boat slip and really nice and great for fishing and hanging out. We had a great time and will be back again as soon as possible.
We enjoyed our long weekend at the lake house. The porch was beautiful, as was the view. Unfortunately, our weekend had some of the hottest weather on record, and we weren't able to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked. The kitchen was well stocked and we were easily able to prepare meals for a large group. There were two separate living areas which was nice for the different age groups to have different activities. The beds were comfortable and clean. The fishing from the dock was not as great as we had hoped (only had 3 fish on the line the whole time we were there) but that was also probably due to the high heat.
