Great location!

We enjoyed the house and the location! Beautiful deck, great walking in vicinity. The views of the water were lovely! The rooms were spacious. We had a couple of issues but I hv notified the property Mgr so hopefully, they will be taken care of.

Classic WB Beach house

This house is a classic old school WB sound front house with loads of room with a perfect layout for entertainment. While it was just our family of five, this house could easily accommodate a larger group or host a family gatherings. The boat slip and dock were an added bonus and made for a fun boating day with kids. We will definitely keep this in mind for future visits.

Hawes is perfect place to stay for a big family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were there for our son’s UNCW graduation so the entire family was able to stay under one roof. The locations was very convenient to walk to the beach, restaurants and bars and we enjoyed walking “the loop” for exercise! Very spacious inside with pool table and other “toys” downstairs, but the real bonus for us was the large deck overlooking the inland waterway and the dock for watching the boats go by. Well equipped kitchen and lots of seating all over the house. All in all a fantastic stay!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very low demanding group of people who were here to enjoy some warm weather. The house has an incredible location and lots of space to enjoy the outdoors. The inside furnishings and décor is frozen in time (e.g. 1985). Would suggest reducing so much of the clutter and also increase lighting as the home is very dark when the sun sets.

Awesome Location!

Awesome location plenty of room to spread out. Boat dock was a plus. Maybe a little to much furniture and a little dated. Appliances need to be updated some work some don't. Hood vent was falling apart and dropped little metal pieces in our food we had to throw out. Garbage disposal we had to plug in and out to make work. Ice maker was broke. Other than that the location was great. Parking is what it is on crowded days we only got one ticket but that was our fault we had pass that came with house and when we went to put it in car we already had ticket beware they are quick to write one on Wrightsville. All in all if appliances are upgraded we would stay again and maybe longer.

Reviewer Comments: Our vacation was planned in the fall to take my 80 year old step father fishing with the family consisting of 7 adults and four children 2,3,4 and 8 years of age. The house is huge and accommodates a large group. If you plan to take small children, take a long baby fence to cover the rails on the stairs. Extremely dangerous! The rails have space between them a small adult can slip through accidentally. If we had not brought a flexible play yard that we could connect to the rails we would have made the children live downstairs for the whole week. That would have been miserable. This is not a house for small kids. Other than that, it is a nice place. We loved our family time there.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a property. The neighbors are extremely nosey, rude, and the property manager from Bryant Real Estate was extremely rude in handling situations. The property owners do not need to offer rentals as sensitive as they are. This house also needs major updates - furniture was ripped and did not look clean. I will not be renting from this company again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was truly a mixed bag of good and bad. It is an older house, which we knew when we rented it, but it has the feel of the owners completely giving up on it. The kitchen and bathrooms have been updated and are very usable. All the bathrooms have walk-in showers, which was important for our senior citizen. The rest of the indoors was less comfortable. It seems like the entire extended family has dumped its old furniture there, and it is jumbled. The upholstered furniture just seemed dirty. The plethora of knick-knacks and abundance of mirrors created sensory overload. The kitchen ware was completely disorganized and thrown into cabinets randomly, and there is way too much of it. The thermostats for upstairs and downstairs were backwards, which was manageable once we figured it out. This should be information included upon check-in and posted at each thermostat. The outdoor space is great, but the deck is in desperate need of power washing (or replacing). As for cleanliness, the bathrooms were spotless, the kitchen pretty clean, but the downstairs bedrooms did not appear to be cleaned at all. The rugs are all so old I'm not sure adequate cleaning is possible. The management company is very responsive and professional, but some problems just require owner attention.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the experience left a lot to be desired. It is an excellent location and great views and the house was the right size to accommodate our family. However, when we arrived we noticed that there were several maintenance issues that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. There was a vent downstairs that was off of the wall sitting in one of the chairs by the pool table, there appeared to be blood smears on the wall and the fridge in the garage, the wall paper was ripped in one of the guest rooms pretty significantly, the internet and the cable was not working when we arrived. There was a door knob missing from the cabinet under the sink and there was a second stove that didn't work at all. There were signs everywhere that if you touched any of the cords for the tv or wifi there would be a $200 fine which seems pretty ridiculous. There was something that looked like BBQ sauce smeared all over the internet router. I called to report the internet issue and sent photos to the property management company of all of the damages we identified a the time of arrival (12 photos). They sent someone out to look at the wifi and cable issues - that person show up and then left without notifying anyone so I had to call back to determine if the issues were fixed and eventually it was.

The downstairs with the pool table, air hockey, foosball and poker table along with bedrooms and bathroom was perfect for the five college kids we took. There was plenty of seating for everyone to do things together. The furniture and decor are showing their age but other than that it was a great property to rent!!

Great vacation home!

This house was made for family get-togethers and celebrations. It’s in walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and the private dock was my favorite part. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for letting us share your home, memories were made for all 8 of us.

The ONLY downside was that there were no cleaning supplies or trash bags so make sure you bring your own.

Reviewer Comments: Arrived to a dirty and unkept property (dead bugs on the carpet, left over make up residue, splatters on kitchen cabitnets, holes in pillows, torn wall paper in bedrooms, stains and filth in kitchen drawers, gap in between the sliding door and frame, unkept lawn, cockroach infestation on deck at night) the list goes on. The beds were ready with wrapped linens and fresh towels but that was the most that was done in this property. Such a disappointment for a beautiful location. The outdoor dock lights didn’t work. There was a strong weird odor throughout the lower level. I was so embarrassed for my in-laws who had never visited wrightsville beach and I talked it up so much! Then they arrive to this dump of a property where we spent close to $7,000 for the week. We left after the second night when I woke up to some type of feces droppings next to my pillow where I slept along side my 2 year old daughter (and also please consider I even brought my own fresh linens!!!!!) Bryant real estate didn’t even bother to comeTo the door when we walked to the office.

We spent every second outside except to sleep. The boat dock was amazing. We brought our boat and fishing poles and the kids were in heaven. We never even made it over to the beach. We will stay again!
