Disfrute de unas vacaciones inolvidables en esta histórica 5 dormitorios, 3 baños unifamiliar casa frente al mar. Construido en 1940, tiene una mezcla de lo tradicional y lo moderno.

La planta principal cuenta con una cocina / sala de estar abierta bien equipada - un gran lugar de encuentro después de un día en el sol. Disfrutar de una cena en el acogedor porche cerrado, fuera. En este nivel hay dos dormitorios y 1 baño, al que se accede al baño desde 1 dormitorio y desde el área del porche. Arriba tiene 3 dormitorios y 2 baños.

Situado en el centro, es fácil distancia a pie de supermercados, tiendas y restaurantes en el centro de Wrightsville Beach. Muchas familias han regresado a casa para unas vacaciones de escapada. Venga a disfrutar de la playa Wrightsville la forma en que solía ser!

Great house

This is a great house. Wonderful wrap around porch, comfortable beds and very clean. Its only issue is that you cannot see the ocean from the deck because of the height of the dunes. The property managers are fantastic and were immediately there to help when needed.

Great location - tired house

Bryant was very helpful, but in the end, this property is really bad. It was dirty (baseboard and other areas with dirt), paint is peeling everywhere, original windows that will not open (or stay open), and just not a very nice property. We were very disappointed, and would not recommend this property at all.

Great Place, Some Improvements in Order

I have a love of old beach houses. This one was absolutely perfect for location and ambiance. It is in need of some minor updates but overall the experience was great. I was happy to see a washer and dryer on site but they are small and pretty old. Some of our clothes came out with "burn" marks. I loved all the rocking chairs on the porch but at least one was coming apart and made it unsafe. The furniture was comfy, but really worn out. All else was really great. Just can't beat the location and the number of rooms and spaces for people to hang out was really really great.

Lots of real estate, lacking in amenities.

Can't beat the location or the floorplan. Wish I had built my house from these specs. Lots of room, spaced well for privacy and for overall use, including the bathrooms with an upstairs jack & jill bath besides the private master bath. However, for the smallest investment, this place could be a wonder find, if the investment company cared. The property lists on Zillow as over 3 million, and they have little incentive to improve your stay. What you will probably want but won't have are chairs for the beach, a beach umbrella, some beach towels, a toaster oven with the burner that works on the top side, slippers because the floors are pretty filthy, and even just a few more dishtowels. They provide exactly one. The wash machine also stained our clothes, so don't bring your favorite shirt. Despite its draw of an ideal location and fabuous front porch, there are other places that might suit your fancy just as well. If you are not driving and bringing all your beach paraphanalia, you will be out of luck and out of quite a few more dollars supplying your own.

Great Family Home!

We loved staying at this beach cottage! There was plenty of space for our family, and the number of bathrooms and bedrooms made it perfect for our family. You cannot beat the location-the beach access is terrific, and the cute shops and restaurants are right down the street. Wonderful place to stay- we will definitely be back!

Back in the day merges with the modern life here.

If you're looking for lush accommodations, high rise views and 60" TV screens pass on this one. BUT...if you're looking for the Wrightsville Beach LIFE as it was intended, this this your spot! The stuff in the kitchen works, you DO NOT HAVE TO LUG STUFF UP three flights of stairs, if you want food and drink it's a super easy walk, if you dig clear-clean water to swim in, and if you enjoy surrounding yourself with real NC history, book this cottage. The beds are numerous and comfortable. The wrap around porch entices reading, board games, discussion, and just sitting there to enjoy what life is really meant to be on my beloved Wrightsville Beach. Have a Surfer Dog (add slaw) at Trolly Stop, have Pina Colda at The Oceanic, take home some chicken salad from Robert's Grocery...it needs to be on the NC historic record, and grab something that was receltly swiming at King Keptune's. There's also late night fun at Red Dog's ALL WITHIN WALIKING DISTANCE.

Classic Wrightsville Beach cottage - Oceanfront

This historic cottage is in the best location on the island within easy walking distance to shops/restaurants. It feels more private being oceanfront but views are partly obstructed by berm. Full ocean views are from upstairs bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The heat/ac worked well and water pressure good. My complaint is that there are not enough places to sit - recommend a larger dining table on porch and updating living room seating and furniture. The artwork was impressive and we enjoyed being there very much. Would book again in future.

Location, location, location!

If we had been any closer to the water, our feet would have been wet. Fantastic location, not just for its location right on the beach, but also for its convenience to all of the nightlife, shops, restaurants, and attractions in Wrightsville Beach. The house is older than the newer ones around it, but it did NOT lack for amenities, cleanliness, or comfort. Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely location; tight fit

I love an old school beach house, especially one on the beach! House had some charm but for our group, it didn’t quite work. Too cold to get much use out of porch so fitting 3 families into 1 living room with 1 couch wasn’t great. Kitchen also cramped and no indoor dining space. Deck is a bit crumbly and ready to give you some splinters. Didn’t like renting through Vrbo but getting passed to a rental company and having to fill out more contracts.

It’s right at the beach access so very convenient especially if you have small children. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone. The only negative thing is the fact that there is no storage for groceries. None. Nada. We put ours on top of the refrigerator.

charged for a pet. No pet was there. Charged for damage fee. Nothing was damaged. Charged for parking passes and was not told specifically to return them at a cost of $300/pass. all in all, very unsatisfactory.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very old so it has that old beach feel. It comfortably sleeps 10 and each room has an adjoins bath. The kitchen space and the living room space, however, are way to small for that number of people if there’s a need to all be inside. The furniture in the living room is old and worn out and very uncomfortable. You are not able to see to beach from the deck, but it is an easy walk to the beach. I wouldn’t rent it again.

Historic Wrightsville Beach Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a family of 9. Chequers had plenty of bed space and a beautiful wrap around porch (though dunes obstruct beach views from porch - disclosed in description beforehand.) Common areas were a challenge for our larger group, but again, we knew this going in as it's a 1940s cottage. Dining is either around the counter or on the porch. As we live in the area we brought a 6' banquet table and folding chairs to add to the existent porch table and that allowed us to eat together. Not too hot for us, as it was in the shade and in June. It might be a challenge later in the summer. We enjoyed having easy access to the beach and to downtown Wrightsville Beach. Parking is a slight challenge (as it always is at WB) with some jostling for street spots (2 street passes are included with the rental and the house has 2-3 spots, depending on car size.) Kitchen is well stocked.
