Great place and location! My friends and I really enjoyed the gated community that only let people who booked their to stay. Parking was easy and the beach access was a huge plus!

Great resort with lots of options for fun in close proximity.

The unit was just like photos, the only issue I had was that there appeared to be mold/mildew in some of the air vents and also the shower. It was a bit dated but we spent the majority of the days outside or visiting places, but for the price it was good!

The perfect Stay

We were very pleased with our stay the place was very clean and in order. Close to the beach and pool. My teenagers enjoyed a lot. We are looking forward to stay there next year for our vacations. Thank you 😊 for making our vacations a comfortable one and safe.

The property was great (location, pools, access to beach). The condo was lacking attention. Housed up to 6 people but did not have enough dishes for 6. Old dishes, no cooking oil, salt/pepper, only 1 wine glass. Appliances looked very outdated. The condo was clean but again, needs updating aside from what was mentioned.

In dire need of updating

The Bahia Mar compound is nice and well-kept, but this unit was quite dated in terms of decor and amenities: the dishwasher did not clean dishes well, and there was a hole in the frame of the patio door that caused a howling noise during our entire stay, day and night, due to the wind outside. The furniture was dated, but solid and in good shape. Very limited amount cooking utensils, plates and cups.

We were told that it was a family friendly place that wouldn’t have loud partying. Instead we were up until 3 am every night with music, loud drunk guys and fights.

The beds were fillled with bed bugs my daughters have bites all over their body we have taken a couple of pictures, We didnt notice till 2nd day in the room with 2 beds, This is not right, It is very unhealthy and dirty make sure to check for this issue.. Please let me know what follows

This was a very big disappointment, Sofa/love seat smelled and is really old the carper use to be blue is now neutral with lots of oil stains Light switches are not labeled Living room switch is above sofa bedroom light by the bed.No balcony from living room but bdroom instead Positive note: good ac/refrig. A little bummed

Pros- Great location, safe, not crowded, tiny beach view from master bedroom, enough space for my family of six. Cons- The sliding door on the balcony is very difficult/dangerous to open and it leaked A LOT of water during the storm. We had to use our bath towels to stop from flooding the living room. The water in both showers never got hot, which was particularly awful when we were cold and wet from running back from the beach in the storm. The toilets clogged super easily and we had to plunge them often. Last, the pans we used had the non stick coating peeling off, which made me feel uneasy cooking on them. We really enjoyed Bahia Mar, but we will not be returning to this particular unit.

Thank you for choosing my condo for your stay. I am sorry to hear of the issues you reported. We have replaced the rollers on the balcony door to make it easier to open and close and secure properly in case of rain. We replace pans and cookware yearly, I apologize if they looked worn, we have gone ahead and replaced the needed items. I have also had the hot water heater checked. I am glad you loved the quiet and secure location. We have addressed all the issues and are confident the condo is back to its 5 star rating and our upcoming guests will love their stay.

Overall a great stay with issues.

The Bahia Mar is a nice, well kept property with security. Excellent location, further out from busy part of island but close enough for a run to grocery stores. Pros: easy parking, beach access, swimming pools, security. I would consider staying again but not in same unit. Our unit is outdated with old plumbing fixtures. Toilets slow flush. TV only worked in living room. A couple of days there were sewer or mildew smell in master bathroom. Ant problems in master bath. We had to buy Raid. Limited cooking utensils as well as pots and pans. No coffee maker- glass carafe was gone. Also, the property owner failed to notify us that there is construction below our unit. For 2 days, we had to walk through scaffolding with construction workers and equipment. Towel service was inconvenient. We had to drive to property office to exchange towels between 11-3. I'm not a big complainer but small issues like these are nuisance during vacations.

Overall nice for the island.

It was nice and close to the water for sure. Loved having a kitchen and more space than a hotel for the number of people we had. I will say a few things to expect. -mildew and moldy vents that also drip water - pantry ceiling dropped water down two shelves of pantry items -had a mildew smell -AC works well -nice bathroom -Cockroaches in the bathroom that came out at night -dishwasher - the check in building is also the “front desk” is a couple blocks away from the resort which is a bit inconvenient. -there was a pull out couch but no blanket anywhere so we had to go back to the front desk to get one. -There’s a broom and a mop but no mop bucket. Could use a vacuum or at least a mop bucket and soap because the floors get covered quickly with sand and there’s no rugs. -if you have guests staying nearby you won’t be able to get them in to visit. -pool hours are 9am-9:50pm wish they opened earlier! The hot tub was very nice and hot! -easy fast walk to the beach -you want linens or towels washed it’s .50 an item and you again have to drive them to the front desk. -No spices in kitchen not even salt or pan oil so if you get groceries add those! -one sharp knife that was supperrrr dull!! -enjoyed having most kitchen items needed -all tile was nice -sitting area by pools are great and the chairs and tables by the ocean! -loved the shallow plateau in the pool for the kids. -have to pay a fee the use the grills -hardly saw other kids here but did at the beach. -master bedroom was super bright at night and in the morning.

This property is okay. It could definitely use a really good cleaning. Coffee pot was horrible. Made the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted. Had to go buy one at store. Pools were nice. Beach area kinda small. Lush 15 acre garden is a little bit of a stretch.

Nice getaway

Great location, short walk to the beach, two pools if that's your preference. Added perk of gated community. Bathrooms have a little mold in the showers but the rest of the condo was in great shape. Would stay at this complex again.

Very spacious unit - perfect for grown teenagers and parents.

This was a great unit for the price. It was perfect for our family of two teenage boys - who had plenty of space in their bedroom and bathroom. We loved that it was separate and not close to our bedroom that was huge with a King size bed and a huge master bathroom with a great vanity. The outside balcony was nice with new tile. My kids loved running down to the pool and hot tub. I would highly recommend. I also loved that I came home with clean laundry....the unit has it's own washer/dryer combo. The kitchen was spacious enough to cook comfortably in and the counter seating and dining seating were great.
