Very comfortable unit. Great location with easy beach access. Close to shopping and multiple restaurants. Parking was very convenient. Nice pool and patio area.

The short walk to the beach cannot be beat! Pool was underwhelming and we hardly used it But the location was great! No problems with the rental company.

A Nice place to stay

The apartment is nice and clean. It is very comfortable and has a lot of space for 6 people. The location is great. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. We enjoy our stay.

Great Time

Came with the family for a long weekend. The place was clean, lots of space, and close to beach access. Everything we wanted. The only issue was that in the evenings, the internet seemed bogged down and kept disconnecting. My guess is due to shared bandwidth and bogging down. Other than that, everything was great.

Nice place

Furniture toss pillows and blanets needs to be replaced. We covered the furniture in sheets because they were stained and sandy. I wouldn't reccomend 6 people, but 4 would be perfect. Pool is clean. If you have someone in the upstairs unit, there is banging from them walking all day. There are plenty of pots and pans. The freezer barely kept Popsicles frozen so don't buy ice cream.

Not worth it

For the price point I expected more. Small TV in living room and master bedroom. Couches were stained. Beds in master and kids were horrible. When you turned the head boards would bang against the wall. We had to put pillows on the master and kids rooms. Cheap furniture. Not very pleasant to sleep in. I will never rent from this place again. Not please at all with this place.

Great area by the beach

We booked just on reviews of area and looks and It Was Perfect! The beach was a block away and the stores and such were blocks away and easy to walk to. My kids were able to walk back and forth to the beach without any worries and the house had enough room for all 5 of us to enjoy without being cramped and messy. We had lots of fishing stuff and there's many places to go fishing. The kitchen was nice, bathrooms were good, bedrooms had lots of room too; except the queen mattress needs to be replaced AND the couch mattress for sure needs replacing because after a long day in the water and walking all evening around town and on the beach, a good night rest is most important and that was our only disappointment. lots of closet space to store everything also. The pool was relaxing if we were the only ones out there, but if other guest were out there it was to small to enjoy, so you just don't go out and that's ok. They had all we needed to enjoy our stay and YES I will book same place again if we go back!!! Thanks for a Clean, well kept, entertained house for our family vacation to truly enjoy! The island is very clean and and lots to do to have fun and the renters were very nice and helpful and made everything go smoothly for our first time there. Thanks again!

Property is nice roaches not so much

The condo was just like it is pictured. I loved everything about it except for the roaches. 2 water bugs the first night in the master shower. We never used that shower during our stay. One huge water bug on the back door leading to pool the last night. Medium size roach in the laundry center. One medium roach in the hallway. And the guest shower had a roach in it when we woke up on the last day. We packed and left and didn't even shower. The first night we were there ants were on the kitchen counter second night too. We killed and cleaned what we could and that is the reason this does not get a 5 star. The towel exchange was great, the location was so close to the beach access. The condo itself was very pretty and comfortable. The pool was just the right size for us and our above neighbors were so nice. Although it sounded like they were stomping each time they walked. I would make sure that the condo is sprayed for roaches and ants. It probably would help if the trash was not directly outside #1 on the side. I don't think bugs would get in so easily.

Liz, I am so sorry you had these issues during your stay, I am embarrassed you had to put up with this. I have already started stared getting everything corrected. We are doing a deep clean in the condo right now, cleaning behind all appliances and making sure everything is just right. Our maintenance and pest control guys are getting into every space in the condo and around the property to make sure everything is treated and this never happens again. We are also moving the trash cans as an extra precaution. I am so happy that you chose our condo for your vacation and want you to know we are doing everything to make sure from now on this is a 5 star condo. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the condo and the location, I hope I can get the opportunity to host you again on your next visit to South Padre Island. Thank You

Not the best. Run.

From the dead roach and the living roach I stepped on in the master bathroom the next morning, to the sewage smell in the master bathroom, the poor draining tub in the smaller bathroom with the toilet that wasnt bolted down properly to the floor, to the soap scum/crud on the faucets, the dirty floors that caused my feet to be filthy after every day after showering (I've been raised to take my shoes off and not wear them in the house). All pieces of wooden furniture was so worn and were stripped in places, the headboard is STILL broken, The cleaners were there more than a week prior to my arrival... so just shows you they dont really clean that well, faucets were rusty and had mold in the grout, there were scrapes on the painted walls. After i contacted padre islands rentals maintenence to have them fix the tub, there was poor communication and the worker started to dismantle the toilet when i specifically said it was the poor draining tub... he took the plunger from the cabinet and started to plunge the tub. Highly doubt this was cleaned after and he said he was going to come back to bring a snake (which is what i said in the first place) Really the only positive is that it's a great location to the beach. I feel like i stayed in the ultimate slumlord condo. Super disappointing after this being my first vrbo rental

Not on the beach

This is on one of the side streets near beachside. We ended up driving to an access point vs walking from this condo. When you have a 3 yo, food and toys it's just easy. But it was clean and nice!

Nice place & conveniently located but we will not be booking again.

Overall of the place was good but our experience with the neighbors in the same complex was horrible! Our first night there one of the other renters partied in the backyard pool till past 3am. Our master bedroom was right next to the pool so all the loud music, screaming, yelling & so forth didn't allow us to even get a decent nights rest. There is a sign by that clearly states no one in pool past 10pm, which is why we did not get in to follow the rules. Our 2nd night there we had tenants above us that made tons of racket with kids running, jumping that went on till past 1am. Ceilings are apparently very thin because we heard everything. What should have been a relaxing weekend at the beach turned into a restless tiredsom weekend because of the neighbors who were not very considerate of others. This is our 1st time renting a place that has other neighbors & this will be our last.

Enjoyable

My husband and I have 2 kids both in age 12 and 8. The location was great and the property was very enjoyable, clean, comfortable easy access to the pool. Everything was very pleasant and accommodating will definitely be returning when visiting south padre. Local restaurants and entertainment was excellent and service was amazing!! We overall enjoy this stay.

Worry free rental at SPI!

Great first time experience

Well maintained condo, the ac was not working well, and the padre island rentals took care of the issue right away! Aside from the one time issue, we had a great family time, will definitely coming back again, soon. Close walking distance to the beach, quiet neighborhood, convenient location. Condo was very well accommodating.
