Our quiet lane starts on Petronia Street, which has become the culinary center of Key West. VIV wine bar, Le Creperie, Blue Heaven, Rams Head, & Santiago’sBodega are at the end of the road. Two FREE bicycles come with the property and a parking spot option- not that you need it- Key West is a walker's paradise from your perfect location.

The entire second floor is a Master Bedroom Suite with walk in shower, huge closet, and a private covered porch with views overlooking the Key West Lighthouse and our fabulous lazy river pool. Perfect spot for your morning coffee or a cocktail hour. Master suite also offers a private side staircase… easy access to pool. Outdoor teak and mahogany porch furniture, made from reclaimed boats, offers solitude and privacy up on the second level covered porch. Lovely Stay in Bahama Village

Hidden Gem in Key West

This is a beautiful historic house in the middle of everything but hidden from all the chaos of Duval st. Area was super quiet with very friendly neighbors. Everything you want to see or do is within walking distance. We really love this place and hope to stay again as soon as possible. Sheryl, the host was fantastic and answered any questions within an hour. Communication with host was great. This was the best place we have stayed in our 5 trips to Key West. I Highly Recommend this property. 10 stars to this property and host.

This house was spotless and beautifully decorated with a flair found only in Key West. The location was perfect to walk to most everything we needed. Totally enjoyed each day we were there. The grounds/pool are spectacular and the neighbors wonderful. You truly feel like you are in the islands and not in Florida. Could not recommend this vacation spot enough. Heavenly Honeymoon

Our stay in Key West exceeded our expectations. The home is immaculate and made our stay very comfortable. With the beautiful decor and lush landscaping, you feel as though you are in your own tropical paradise. Afternoon naps in the hammock followed by a refreshing snack of Spanish limes grown from a tree in the backyard quickly became a daily ritual. We loved taking the quick bike ride to Mallory Square each night to watch the sunset as well as simply crossing the street each morning to eat breakfast at the famous Blue Heaven. I honestly can not wait for our next visit. We truly found a piece of paradise.

Perfect Stay in Paradise

This property was amazing. The location would be difficult to beat. The house is perfectly situated for nice walks to both Mallory Square and the Southernmost Point. It’s also very close to Blue Heaven (our favorite restaurant in the Keys). The outdoor area is gorgeous. I loved working from the large hammock on the balcony and looking down at the winding pool. It was perfect. We were a bit worried about traveling during covid, but the house was extremely clean. Dave and Sheryl are fantastic hosts and were very responsive whenever we had questions. Additionally, the neighbors couldn’t have been better. Susan was incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

Key West March 2024

Cute home, great location in Bahama Village. Sheryl was super helpful with any questions, suggestions and recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The shared outdoor area is beautiful, and large pool was lovely. The area is quiet and very relaxing. We did have some issues with the pool cleanliness maintenance which was due to their poorly performing pool vendor and we believe the compound ownership resolved those upon our departure. The internet was great, and we was able to work from the unit. The bikes were in need of repair. If you opt for parking be warned it is very tight, and require the cooperation of your neighbors who also be renters. Overall, a great location and a great unit.

It was wonderful to have you visit for a month at Treetops. Yes, the new pool filter arrived shortly after your departure and our new pool vendor does keep the lagoon pool sparkling. What a treasure! Thank you for your patience while those parts were being delivered to our little island 150 miles out to sea! A dedicated parking spot in our off street parking common lot is perfect for a small car or SUV- we do not recommend trucks or oversized autos. The new bikes are conch style & equipped with baskets for shopping. Pedaling or walking is the best way to experience the island. There is also a free shuttle bus which travels a route all day into the late night throughout old town, from our Village to Schooner Wharf and the stop is just a block away. If you must work while you visit, yes, we do have the fastest internet speed available on the island. Looking forward to when you can return to our slice of paradise!

Treetops - Everything You Imagine Could Be Yours

Our stay at Treetops, the "Sparkling" Old Town Private Home, was everything we hoped it would be - convenient to everything (a 10-15 minute walk, or 5 minute bike ride, or half a block walk to the Free Duval Loop Bus) one wants to do in Key West, tucked away in a historical neighborhood - just around the corner from Hemingway's House, the Lighthouse, and Blue Heaven. The best beach on the island (at Fort Zach Taylor) was a short bike ride away. The house itself is a tidy and magical two story home facing an inner courtyard and pool, shared with five neighbors. The pool is warm and inviting at any time of day, on even the rare chilly day. It does look just as it does in the photos. The house has all you need for cooking, doing your laundry, having your own happy hour. Although the house has three bedrooms, one is quite small and the space is best suited to no more than four or five people; if you are five or six, you should be small or really good friends and be able to live close together, respecting each others personal space. Would certainly book this house again.

Treetops Wonderland

This is an extremely comfortable place to stay and in the most perfect location! Easy walking or bike riding to everything. And after exploring the wonders of Key West, you come back to this oasis and swim in the pool. The neighbors are nice and helpful and the owner is very quick to answer any questions. I would stay here again.

When we are not at TREETOPS, we live on the beach just south of Boston. We vacationed on KW before buying a slice of paradise. We hope you will enjoy our southernmost home as much as we do! We have taken pride in the renovations and outfitting our home to a very high standard so our guests will be comfortable and have everything they may need during their stay. We are always available to answer any questions you may have before or during your time at Treetops.
The two-person hammock on the second level is our favorite spot in the late afternoon! Every time we leave this house, we count the days until we can return.

Why they chose this property

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! YES, this location is simply perfect and the property and the grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. We have many return renters from year to year and only have rave reviews.
We had a great time decorating and updating our conch style home to feel like an authentic Key West experience.
Visitors to Key West have started paying closer attention to the Bahama Village neighborhood after discovering Blue Heaven, one of the most popular breakfast spots on the island. New dining options keep cropping up like Blue Macaw, Santiago’s Bodega, VIV Wine Bar, Moondogs, and La Creperie. Beyond the restaurant scene, Key West's famous Duval Street is less than 2 blocks away. If you interested in spending time at the beach, both South Beach and Ft. Zachary Taylor Beach are about a half-mile away.

What makes this property unique

Treetops is close to everything special KW has to offer in a private home that has two levels of living space complete with a master bedroom suite with a sparkling new master bath and generous walk in closet. We are located off Petronia Street, which has 8 restaurants. Many of which are rated in the top 10 on tripadvisor. The location is SUPERB. The lagoon style pool is one of the largest private pools in Old Town and offers a wonderful spot to relax after a busy day discovering the island. The home is located within a five home , adult compound that shares the pool.
