Paradigm Chalet with Private Studio
Escape to our private Lake Tahoe compound! This stunning A-frame main house and separate studio accommodate up to 9 guests (8 adults max). Enjoy cozy fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dedicated workspace in the main house. With added amenities like a Nespresso machine and a Pack 'n Play, it’s excellent for family vacations or ski trips with friends. Experience ample space and modern comforts in a serene, picturesque setting, all while being close to outdoor adventures.
We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up.
Discover the adventure of our Tahoe; Our retreat opens up to National Forest land, inviting you to hike or embark on a backcountry ski adventure right from the front door. Our home is also within close proximity to McKinney Rubicon Trail Head, stunning beaches, and delightful restaurants.
You will have private access to the entire property, which includes the main house, the detached studio, and the washer and dryer located in the two-car garage. Enjoy the entire compound exclusively for you and your group.
PARKING:
- 4 parking spots: 2 in garage (the garage is pretty short (height-wise so it only fits a small SUV/car.), 2 immediately in front of the garage parking spot in the driveway. Max height is approx. 79” for a car to fit in garage.
Escape to your private Lake Tahoe compound, a perfect mountain retreat for family summer vacations or ski adventures with friends. Our property features a stunning A-frame main house and a separate, private studio, offering ample space and convenience for your group.
Main House:
Step inside and be greeted by soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with abundant natural light.
The living room features a cozy fireplace, a comfortable couch, a Smart TV, and a Bluetooth sound system for movie nights.
A dedicated desk in the loft provides a beautiful workspace overlooking the living room for those mixing work with pleasure.
Our well-appointed kitchen is ready for your home-cooked meals, featuring a double oven and a six-burner gas range.
The Studio:
Located above the garage, this cozy, private space includes a wood-burning fireplace, radiant heating, and a portable heater.
It also has a coffee station with both a drip coffee maker and a French press.
Please note the studio does not have a stove, oven, or refrigerator.
All bedrooms feature brand-new and extremely comfortable Saatva and Casper mattresses to ensure a restful night's sleep.
Our home is approximately 6 minutes away from Homewood Ski Resort, 8 minutes from Meeks Bay, and 9 minutes from the McKinney/Rubicon Trailhead. All of Tahoe's epic adventures are just minutes away!
To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- We can welcome no more than 8 adults.
- Firewood is not provided.
- Our Driveway: The driveway has a short, steep section leading up to the main motor court/garage. AWD is the minimum requirement, 4WD and/or snow tires strongly recommended. If you don’t have it, there may be instances where you have to walk up, grab a shovel and clear the driveway if the plow didn’t come through.
- No Air Conditioning: Like most homes in Tahoe, our cabin does not have AC.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May).
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
