Share our experience and unique pleasure of a beach home with a perfect location. The Indian River intracostal waterway with Eco Tours and water taxi, world-class Spa, restaurants, bars, and shops are just two blocks away. The community park with children's playground, lighted tennis and basketball courts is only one block walk. The beach is three blocks but why walk when the beauty of NSB is that you can pack up everything you need in your car and park right on the beach. This is especially convnenient when you have all of the gear that comes when taking little ones to the beach.
The old world charm of historic Canal St. in downtown NSB combined with the eclectic shopping and superb dining on Flagler and fabulous 13 mile pristine white beach convinced us this was the place where we would retire someday. One of our favorite spots in all the world is the corner table at Breaker's - looking out at the sand and the surf while sipping a beverage and enjoying key lime seasoned shrimp - it just doesn't get any better!
Back at the beach house you'll enjoy a spacious living & dining area as well as fully equipped kitchen with travertine flooring throughout. The entire house has been newly decorated and best described as 'Chic but Beachy.' You will feel relaxed and comfortable as the peacefully decorated master bedroom has lots of closet space, a queen tempurpedic mattress, rocking swivel chair for a quiet reading spot, watching tv or to rock little ones to sleep. There is also ample space for the roll-away bed.
The second bedroom, inspired by a nautical theme, has a comfortable full and twin bed with room for the roll-away bed as well. There is a built-in bookcase (complete with reading selections) as well as a desk and captain's chair for your computer set-up.
The house is situated on a corner lot and is nicely landscaped with mature trees to provide plenty of shade as you sit out on the patio with firepit to enjoy a relaxing evenig smelling the jasmine and gardenias nearby. There is a nice side yard and a fenced area in the back for your small pet. The oversized two car garage includes washer and dryer plus ample room for storage.
This is our home away from home so we are constantly adding amenities for our comfort as well as yours. We want you to enjoy your time there as much as we do so please don't hesitate to contact us if there is something you are looking for that may not be included in this listing.
We have recently put an addition above the double garage that will remain as our private dwelling. The only time our paths will cross is if you want that to happen on the rare occasion we are in for the weekend. You will be given advance notice of our plans to visit. Our quarters are separate and your privacy will be respected.

My husband and I are both in the field of education. He is a computer consultant to colleges and universities. I am a school counselor/psychologist and adjunct professor. We enjoy traveling and the destination that is closest to our hearts is NSB! We live for the next time we will hear the surf and feel the sand between our toes.
We enjoy biking and especially in NSB. It is much easier than navigating the hills in Pittsburgh!! Our four-legged son, Jackson loves the dog-friendly beach. We also enjoy good food and good times with family and friends. The beach house is the perfect setting!
We are avid Steeler fans as well as Pitt Panther fans. Love ya Black 'N Gold! Hail to Pitt!! We also love our Penquins and our Pirates. That's the way it is when you're born and bred in the 'Burgh!!
The Owner purchased this house in 2010
Honestly, I knew this property was meant to be ours the first time we looked at it. On my way back to the master bedroom I peered in the bathroom and noticed that the tile was yellow and black (think Black 'N Gold)
As I opened the closet in the master bedroom and spied the Steeler jerseys I hear my sister call to me that the refrigerator is full of Steeler and Big Ben magnets. All of this within the first 2 minutes - surely this is a sign from God that this is the house that is meant for us!!
It was easy to see the floorplan and location was perfect. The house had been well maintained and with some new decorating and updating of windows and doors it would make the perfect beach house for our family and hopefully yours, too.
Aside from that Black 'N Gold moment, one of the most compelling reasons we bought this particular home was the location. It is absolutely perfect!
The location of this property can not be emphaszed enough. Our morning ritual is to take in the sunrise as we walk the beach (3 block walk). We'll stop for coffee along the way or for breakfast on the way back. Along the way I'm making mental notes of shops I want to return to later in the day.
In the evening, our favorite restaurants, That's Amore and Atlantis Bistro are two short blocks from the front door. Or we'll walk one more block west and watch the sunset at the Riverview restaurant with it's outdoor dining and entertainment while listening to the draw bridge and watching the boats sail by is most enjoyable. The Riverview is also the spa we'll enjoy on occasion.
Although there is a convenience store on the way to the beach, grocery stores, the theater and more fine restaurants and shopping are a two minute drive. Some folks even ride their bikes!
The proximity to Disney World, Universal, Daytona Beach and Speedway, the National Shoreline, and Kennedy Space Center make NSB the ideal family vacation spot with something for everyone. Although we are not fishing enthusiasts, our cousin is and he has shared that the backwaters are infamous for great fishing, especially redfish.
Of course, NSB is infamous as a super sufing destination! And our beach home is the perfect destination from which to experience all that NSB and the surrounding area have to offer!
We stayed in NSB the last two weeks of 2015. Our longest family vacation ever! But the time literally flew by. Starting with the house, everything was super clean and organized. There were plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen was very well stocked, which we were super excited about because we love to cook. The house is decorated so nicely, from the colors to all of the beach signs. Our dogs had a blast too. They loved the dog beach and going for walks around town. NSB is super dog friendly!
The town... The location of the house is centric to everything! I especially liked that we didn't need to leave the inlet to access supermarkets, nails and beauty shops, restaurants, anything really. We walked to Flagler Ave. every day. We especially enjoyed Nichols Coffee shop. I would go for a run or bike on the beach each morning and on my way back to the house I'd stop in for a Flagler Ave Latte and a homemade scone. Yum! Flagler Ave had several events going on during our stay too. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants. We did adventure on some sightseeing trips as well. We went to St Augustine and visited Fort Matanzas about 1 hour and 10 minutes away. We also visited the Ponce Inlet Light House about 25 minutes away. If you enjoy taking in the sights and learning about history these are two must do trips.
Overall a very memorable family vacation. We are already making plans for a repeat trip!
Arrived in NSB after the worst February on record in upstate New York. Found the house warm, inviting and very clean. Great location, close to Flagler with its shopping and dinning. Very convenient. The provided beach chairs and umbrella were a nice feature as was the washer and dryer. The notebook outlining shopping and dinning and activities was very helpful. The owners were most accommodating. Enjoyed morning walks to the beach and Nicholes Surf Shop Cafe for coffee. Looking forward to returning next year.

This is a perfect vacation home in New Smyrna Beach. Close to everything, including: causal and fine dining restaurants, boutique shops, parks, cultural activities, water sports, and THE OCEAN :) The house is private and has a beautiful screen enclosed pool. The house is well stocked with everything you need to have a perfect vacation. The things my husband and I enjoyed the most were: Swimming in the pool -- both day and night, very relaxing and very private. Dining on the front patio -- there is a special feeling to dining outdoors and the landscaped gardens around the property are beautiful. Walking to the park and to the beach -- the location is convenient to everything. Riding bikes through the tree lined streets and on the beach -- the owners' bikes are a quick and easy way to take a ride to the beach, or for sightseeing Parking in the garage -- we don't have this convenience at our home, and it was a nice addition to our stay. And last, but certainly not the least, we were able to bring our pet -- which eased our mind of worry, since we didn't have to leave her behind while we enjoyed paradise. It was very easy to work with the owners and their attention to detail made for a spectacular 6-weeks. Thank you for the best 6 weeks of fun in the sun!
I don’t even know how or where to begin explaining how much we enjoyed our stay that New Smyrna Beach home. The day we arrived we were tired from our drive and were happy to find that the home was well stocked and very clean. We moved right in, explored the house, the grounds and began thinking about our evening and dinner. The owners was very helpful and provided us with a recommendation for dinner just on the main road and it was our anniversary so we took a bike ride over to check it out. In minutes (really 2 minutes) we were there and happy to find it was just our kind of place….we felt right at home already. After a few glasses of wine and a great meal we took ourselves back to the house for a relaxing evening and a great night sleep (the beds are very comfortable) and the house is nice and cool, quiet and dark inside…great for sleeping.
The next day we explored, the town, the beach, the neighborhood, which is all right there, and really very nice and safe. The pool is positioned perfectly on the lot, is very private and a great escape from the sun if you need it in the middle of the day or catch some rays if you prefer.
My husband and I love cycling, the beach and walking so this how in New Smyrna had it all for us. We would definitely like to return again next year and do it all over again.
We arrived too tired to grocery shop--found TP, coffee and filters, and tea. There was a friendly made bed, no need to bring sheets or towels. The couch is great for napping. There is a publix 5 min away for milk and groceries :-) Our stay was super, the house very, very clean and welcoming. The salt water pool was just plain fun. When we weren't bike riding we walked to everything--Cafe Verde was our fav. resturant, cooking in was easy lots of pots and even spices to use. Be sure to visit Solecat a great store. Mariellen was most helpful. You won't regret staying here, we will be back next year.
We arrived at this beautiful home on January 2, 2014 from Maine. Yes, we picked a great winter to "snowbird" for the first time and we couldn't have picked a better spot than NSB. This home is ideally located next to the beach, restaurants, tennis courts and stores...all within walking distance! We thoroughly enjoyed our three month stay in our beach house as it provided everything we could ask for during our "winter stay". Even with this Florida winter being a cold and wet one, it still bettered what our folks back home were suffering through. We still experienced temps in the 80s and enjoyed so many things to do, including art and music festivals on a weekly basis, watching rocket launches at the Kennedy Space Center from our beach three blocks away, a Mardi Gras parade just up the street, the Goodyear blimps flying overhead during the Daytona 500 raceweek and of course, the warm sands and scenery of NSB beachside!
The house itself is very comfortable and we received a lot of compliments on the addition and the updates. LOL. Of course, we passed those on to the owners! Although we didn't get to use the pool much due to it being winter, we enjoyed sitting by the pool or on the patio out front or the enclosed, private patio by the pool. We also liked that bikes were supplied for our enjoyment as well; one less thing to bring with us!
The house was well equipped with everything that we could possibly need!
Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gracie, was able to join us this winter, thanks to the owners allowing us to have our dog! She loved the dog beach that is nearby. We live on a hill back in Maine so being in this neighborhood in NSB allowed us to take some great walks!
The owners were super nice and quick to respond to any questions that we had.
These three months flew by and we are looking forward to coming back next winter as we have totally fallen in love with this house and NSB!
Disney World, the Natural Shoreline, and Kennedy Space Center are all within an hour's drive or less. Makes for a great vacation with activities to ensure everyone is happy. Daytona Beach and the Speedway are only 12 miles north! This is a great place to stay for Race Week or Bike Week as you are very close but far enough away for a relaxing time.
