'Chez ZigZag' is an upstairs apartment that is accessed from 204 S Oak St. (W. 2nd Street stops at S. Oak - so you have to turn left onto Oak) It's only three blocks from the ferry to Victoria. There is a delightful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca , Victoria, B.C., Mt. Baker and assorted ocean going vessels. The activity of the harbor is always changing. Over 60 different types of boats and ships can be seen regularly..
Our name is derived from the locally named ‘zigzag’ walkway that connects our street to the downtown area. Chez ZigZag is within easy walking distance of: downtown (1 block), a Safeway store with a Starbucks (2 blocks), the Coho Ferry (3 blocks) and Hollywood Beach/ Discovery Trail head (4 blocks) along with an enjoyable variety of restaurants.
Our one-of-a-kind, outdoor fireplace is ready for action. Ample wood is stacked nearby. Each evening the wood is set and ready for you to light a relaxing outdoor fire. Nothing beats watching the activity on the harbor in front of a roaring fire or enjoying an evening drink or meal.
Chez ZigZag offers a memorable home away from home, stocked with everything you might want or need for a wonderful visit to Port Angeles. Why stay anywhere else!

About Amy or Brent Powell
We are both Brokers with Coldwell Banker Uptown Realty in Port Angeles. Brent is regular cyclist and Amy is an accomplished watercolor artist. We are also retired Registered Dental Hygienists amidst a few other careers. Living here has been a distinct blessing and we look forward to sharing it with our guests. After living all over the USA, we've decided this is the best place of all. We love the natural beauty of the surroundings and the friendly people. What could be better?
Amy or Brent Powell purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Amy or Brent Powell chose Port Angeles
We sort of stumbled into a vacation rental. The home we purchased came with a separate apartment upstairs. Our renters moved out and we spent the next 4 months totally remodeling the apartment. We are excited to offer it to visitors to our area. If we came to Port Angeles looking for a vacation rental, this is the one we would pick. It is now luxurious, and centrally located with easy access to just about everything. Chez Zig Zag provides a peaceful retreat that can't be beat. Come see. You will not be disappointed!
What makes this Apartment unique
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. How can any thing compare to watching the harbor and shipping lane activity. A short walk to down town brings a variety of excellent dining and other shopping opportunities. Besides that CZZ has all the amenities you would want if you were to live here full time. Nothing beats sipping your morning coffee and watching the sun rise over Mt. Baker - or barbecuing a fresh salmon on the front patio. Enjoying a roaring fire in the outside front fireplace is a memorable conclusion to viewing all the natural wonders The North Olympic Peninsula has to offer. It is our hope that Chez Zig Zag will not only please, but exceed your expectations.

Clean, beautiful decorated, and plenty of hidden gems.
Our stay could not have been better thanks to this wonderful location. The hosts were helpful, the space was perfect, and all for an amazing price. Could not have asked for more. The views were also AMAZING.
Heated bathroom floor, outside fire place overlooking the ocean and cozy living room were the highlights for me! Everything else was just as amazing!
clean and quiet
We had a wonderful stay at Chez Zig Zag, exploring Olympic National Park and Victoria. The home is within walking distance to a grocery store (like a Whole Foods), coffee shops, restaurants, and the Victoria ferry terminal. Brent and Amy are kind and gracious hosts. Would stay here again!
Cannot recommend Chez Zig Zag enough. Gorgeous views, clean, warm and welcoming. Everything one could possibly ask for and more when in the area. Bed is super comfy, and kitchen well appointed. Hope to be in the area again so we can be repeat guests.
The perfect spot to stay while exploring Port Angeles
We (4 guests) had a delightful stay at Amy and Brent's "Chez Zig-Zag"! It has a killer view overlooking the port and is located just steps from the zig-zag path that winds down from the bluff to 1st St shops, Port Book and News, The Country Aire Market and restaurants.
Very comfortable, well appointed, a warm bathroom floor, everything one could want and little chocolates on the beds as well. We all said "wow, I could live here!" Amy and Brent were warm and incredibly helpful..... we'll be back.

Nice views! Cute place! Poor acoustics 👎
Place is clean and cute. Nice views of water and overlooking downtown area. Easy access to downtown. Right next to Residential Behavioral Home, which residents were loud early in the morning. Plan to be quiet after 10ish because of acoustics, as owners live on main floor.
The party of four were loud, boisterous, and noisy late into the evening. They were finally asked to "quiet down" at 1 AM. To their credit they complied. It's not a question of acoustics, but of impaired ability to judge the level of commotion due to increased alcohol consumption. The guests were otherwise pleasant. We've hosted our VRBO for seven years. This is the first time any guest has been asked to temper their behavior.
Port Angeles is the home of many seasonal celebrations and Festivals from the Crab Fest in October to the Juan De Fuca Music Festival in the Spring. Live theater is also available periodically in both Port Angeles and Sequim. There is no end to both winter and Summer activities In the Olympic Mountains and National Park. Whale watching tours, salmon and Halibut fishing in the Strait round out this incredible area which is a destination vacation area worldwide. You certainly owe it to yourself to visit the North Olympic Peninsula at least once in your life time. There is no place on earth quite like it.
